When I plug in my new iPad, iPhoto launches instead of iTunes.  How can I get iTunes to launch rather that iPhoto?

I have recently purchased an iPad.  When I plug it in, iPhoto launches rather than iTunes.  I would like iTunes to open when I plug in.  Thoughts?

With the iPad connected, open iTunes.  Click on the iPad under DEVICES on the left side.  Under the Options window, check "Open iTunes when this iPad is connected".
In iPhoto Preferences-General, Connecting camera opens: may be what controls whether or not iPhoto launches.  I have mine set to "No application".
