i plug my ipod in and the itunes doesnt do anything ive trying installing new itunes but that doesnt work. when it get plugged in it says on the ipod that its charging but it doesnt charge. ive used 3 different cords and ive reset the ipod many times. i dont know whats wrong can anyone help???
well, don't bother with a cable, I haven't seen anyone say that that solved the problem yet....I have similar problems with a nano 1G-In addition to being seen by the PC as an "unknown device", it won't play songs....it says it is playing, but the time elapsed never changes. When the battery gets very low, then my PC and I-tunes recognizes it, and starts to restore, but then gives error 1437 & 1418.I am quite sure the problem is in the i-pod, and have seen many others with the same symptoms, so apple is aware of it. They need to start replacing these if they don't have a fix. Mine is less than a year old......If anyone gets any info, post it, and I will do the same...

I recently moved my music to an external hd. I deleted the music from the internal. When i plug in the External, itunes doesnt pick it up. I have pointed itunes towards external but still not working, driving me nuts!

the best way would be to copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the iTunes music or media folder) from <MacintoshHD>/users/<yourname>/music on your Mac to the external, then launch iTunes while holding the option (⌥) key, click on choose library when prompted, and select the iTunes folder on the external.
I have pointed itunes towards external but still not working, driving me nuts!
that tells iTunes where to put new additions to your library, not where the content currently is. -
I have a 6th generation ipod nano, When i plug it into the itunes it shows the music i have on there, but when i disconnect it says i have no music. What do i do?
You may want to do a Restore on the iPod in iTunes. The Restore button is on the iPod's Summary screen in iTunes. This will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. If the problem is caused by data corruption in the iPod's storage, a Restore should fix it.

When I plug in my iPhone, iTunes freezes and crashes, what is going on?
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, as well as restoring my iPhone to factory settings. But whenever I plug in my phone, itunes crashes. It works with other programs but I've ran out of ideas. Anyone had this problem before?

hello all,
i normally shop on my ipod touch (because frankly i cant be bothered to plug it into itunes then shop! ) to shop for apps and song and etc. and because i have a wall charger in my room theres pratically no need to go the computer! so sometimes when im on the computer i want to use my ipod touch as well so i charge it on the pc.
well to cut the story short everytime i want to shop on itunes it comes up with this note that says "your ipod is synced with a different pc etc" then it comes up with erase and sync? so my question is what does syn mean? because im worried if i choose ok it would get rid of all my apps
- someone help me!- It means what it says. Your iPod is synced with a different iTunes library. To transfer purchases to this computer:
