When I press shutdown nothing happen in KDE

after long time I update my arch linux with pacman and many packages like KDE update to new version , but after upgrade packages and reboot system by command I see error about udev and HAL ,when system boot , and when I choose shutdown option in KDE nothing happen and my system can not shutdown and I have to shutdown it with halt -p command . I do knoww what happen and why it does not shutdown.

I cant explain why but this seemed to work for me:
Try installing phonon-vlc
pacman -S phonon-vlc
and changing the phonon settings under System Settings > Multimedia > Phonon > Backend to prefer vlc over Xine(or whatever other backend you are using).
You may have to reboot before it starts working.
Its apparently some old bug that must have crept in once again. I would really like it if anyone can give me an explanation as to why this happened and why changing to phonon-vlc fixed it.
