When I print A spreadsheet 2 copies print

I recently tried to make a spreadsheet in Numbers and when I print it it automatically prints 2 copies. I even see 2 copies when I use the preview function

considering there is nor true print preview like in other programs, this would imply that there are two copies of your data in the sheet. If you can see the scroll bars at the top or bottom of your screen, scroll around or zoom way out you will most likely find other sets of data.
If this si not the case, please post some screnshots so we can get a better ide of what your seeing, (I use the free photobucket.com to host my screenshots, then link to them here).

I am baffled and I need to fix this problem soon! I need my printer. All of a sudden, my printer started printing about 20 copies of each item when I only asked for one! This not only uses a lot of ink, but wastes a ton of time, for the little of time I have put up with it. Lately, I have just shut it off. Please - any suggestions?? Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I have no problem printing the business cards out on a Canon printer, or a different HP printer I used to have, but the D110 is nothing but a pain in the you know what ! I'm using publisher and the avery 8371 card stock, I searched solutions for days and did everything possible but still they're not printing correctly!! I'm dissapointed in this printer, every time I have a problem with something it always seems to be an HP product!!! Very frustrating because I never had to mess with any settings in the other printers I had, I would just put the file in, change the quality and click the print button with no problems. I'm ready to throw this printer out the window Anyway thanks in advance and I hope somebody can help me with this issue !!!

I am trying to print a spreadsheet. If I go into Print Preview, all I see on the screen is a blank page. What is wrong here? and

I print stock spreadsheets at the end of every year for my records and this is the first time I can't print them. When the blank screen shows I can minimize it. The spreadsheet with my numbers shows but I can't print it. Something is blocking it.

Reload the page. If it doesn't load, choose Activity from Safari's Window menu, find that picture in the list, and see what it says to the right; this may reveal what the problem is.

How you enable double-sided printing can depend on the applications from whick you wish to print. Example: if I print to my HP PhotoSmart from Safari, I get this print dialog box:
(Edit: OOPS! Note that I forgot to switch printers when i took the scene-shots, so ignore the "Brother" reference. It's should look the same for your HP.
Note the selection labled "Safari" near the bottom. If I change that form "safari to "Layout: I get this:
Note the option for two-sided printing appears for your selection. If I print from Word, the box is different:
The "Copies & Pages" option can be changed to "Layout" when you click it, again allowing the selection of two-sided printing.
If you tell us what applciaiton is vexing you, we may be able to give better-focused information.

InDesign CS6 print number of copies issue

Hello!
I have a document that I needed 25 copies of, so I set the # of copies to 25 and off it went. No issue. However, now when I go to a different doc and I print, the # of copies stayed at 25 when I only needed 1. I have to remember to change the # of copies every time I go to print. I was wondering, if there is a preference or setting within the print options for InDesign to return each doc back to 1 copy instead of keeping the previous # of copies?

Printing too many copies

I have a g5 printing to an HP 5550 with OS X 10.3.9. I've downloaded the most recent driver from hp and installed it after removing the printer.
The g5 prints the same copy over and over to the printer, but doesn't do that with any other printer. No other client, mac or pc, prints multiple copies when attempting to print one.
Please let me know if you have any troubleshooting thoughts on this. Other than removing and re adding the printer do macs cache other printer information that I can reset?

You could try this little utility and see if it can reset what you need. It can empty a cache and do a few other things besides.

Duplex printing of multiple copies of single page

I really like that the settings for printing are retained so you can leave it set to duplex rather than having to select it each time. Although I do get caught with not resetting the number of copies on occasion. I do a lot of printing and like to conserve paper.
The problem is when duplex is set and I print multiple copies of a single page, it prints on both sides of the paper. When printing two copies I get one page printed on two sides instead of two pages printed on one side.
I know the easy answer is reset the duplex setting. But it should print correctly regardless. Has anyone had this problem and found how to deal with it other than resetting duplex?

If these settings are in the printer driver (which they most likely are) then you'd have to contact the driver manufacturer. Perhaps there are multiple "double-sided" settings. For instance, if there is "duplex" as one option and "two-sided" as another option in the driver, then perhaps one indicates all copies will be printed double-sided even on the same page (as you're experiencing), whereas the other would print multiple two-sided copies. This, however, is very driver-dependent behavior. I'd recommend checking to see if there's an update available for your printer driver that might either clear the problem or provide a clearer option setting for the print jobs.

Appleworks Spreadsheets not printing

I have a new imac -20" using OS 10.4.5 with appleworks 6.2.9 which prints word processing and drawings very well onto a new magicolor 2450 colour laser printer, with the most upto date printer driver. (also to my old Epson color 880) but will not print out spreadsheets to either printer.
I think I have followed peggy's 'Appleworks has stopped working correctly', and deleted the plist etc. (There were lots of plist icons). Apple Genius bar expert told me to upgrade to 10.4.5... done. I have repaired permissions.
When clicking 'print' in the printer window the horizontal blue bar appears for half a second but then vanishes and nothing happens, unlike for word processed letters when the printer pops up in the dock and the printer reacts with some output.
Apple telephone support said it was not their problem.

You deleted the AppleWorks plist, but did you delete the other AppleWorks preferences as in my user tip, AppleWorks has stopped working correctly? It's important to delete all of them at the same time.
I think, though, that the problem is with just that spreadsheet since WP & DR documents print. There are several things to try to fix it.
1. Go to Options > Set Print Range & click All cells with data. Personally, I like to use the Set Print All button in the Button Bar.
2. Save the spreadsheet as an AppleWorks 5 document with a slightly different name & then open the AppleWorks 5 SS in AppleWorks 6. You do not need to have AppleWorks 5 or Classic to do this. This will retain any formatting & column widths you may have adjusted.
3. Copy all of the data in this spreadsheet & paste into a new, blank spreadsheet.

Printing a Spreadsheet

Being a newbie to Mac, iwork, and numbers, I'm having trouble printing a spreadsheet. It has 6 columns and 20 rows. The headers are in row 2 and column b. After data is entered into the grid, all that will print is the headers, but not all of them; some on each of 4 pages. It's NUTS. I have tried to get help from a REALLY WEAK help file, but to no avail. If nobody can help, does anyone want to buy a slightly used MacBook Pro?

I'm not sure I can answer your question because I'm not sure what is going on. In Numbers, some tables have header rows and columns. Headers have a special meaning in Numbers, they are not like other cells. If you have a single header row and single header column, these would be row 1 and column A in Numbers. The default tables with headers have the header column and row shaded.
You can get your table down to one page by going to Print View and reducing the content size until it fits on a page.
I have no idea why the data you have entered into the cells of the table is not printing if it is visible in Numbers. What does it look like in the print preview window when you have chosen to print, are the cells blank there too? If it looks correct there, does it "print to PDF" correctly? If it prints to PDF correctly, does the PDF print to your printer correctly?
The Help menu has a link to the Numbers Users Guide. It may answer a lot of your future questions and would have led you to Print View to see that your table was laid out across four pages.

Adobe Fireworks print 3 more copies for nothing

hello, I have a little problem. I did a design in adobe
fireworks and I want him print that I sent to my client. Whatever.
When I print, choose to say print only one copy. I don't know why,
but even if I choose from the menu to print only 1 copy, fireworks
printed another 3 pages. So regardless of what I print, adobe
fireworks automatically printed 3 more copies (3 pages) for
nothing. I do not know what to do, but hard pisses me off. Can you
help?

It sounds like it might be a page size issue - perhaps your
Fireworks document is just larger than a single page print size,
and the parts that overflow onto additional pages are causing the
additional three pages to print. (Did you get one page with you
design and three "blank" pages? Or did it print four copies of the
same page, all with a copy of your design?)
A possible work around is to create a PDF of your design then
print the PDF. You can export direct to PDF from CS4, then check
the PDF to see if you also got 3 extra pages - if yes, just print
the "current page" from the PDF to get only your design.
If you have CS3 or earlier and you have Acrobat (or another
PDF creation tool), you can export your design as a flattened PNG
then create a PDF from the bitmap PNG file, then print from the
PDF.

Prints unwanted multiples copies

Printer: Officejet 6500 (wireless network connection)
OS: Windows 7
Sometimes when I send a job to the printer it prints multiple copies.
It is totally random and I haven't been able to determine a pattern. It happens from different programs, but not always.
As an example last week I came to the HP site and saw the notice about the forum today. I decided to print it to have as a reminder and I stoped the printer after 3 copies.
Usually it prints 2, but sometimes 3 - and of course, sometimes just 1.
I have check to make sure that when sending the order to print it only says one.
Any ideas?

Unable to print number of copies on label printer

Hi Everyone,
I am able to print smartform any number of copies on standard printer.
But when I change from standard printer name to Label printer name and execute the smartform with number of copies ( greater than 1 ).
For label printer I am able to print only one copy, irrespective of number of copies specified. However I can able to number of copies specified for standard printer.
Can anyone help me what could be the reason? Is that any settings should be done for label printer ?

The problem might be a corrupt preference. Does this problem occur with all applications? If not, which application?
Try Repair Disk Permissions using Disk Utility.

For further assistance, I will require some additional information:
The Product/Model Number of your printer. Follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number.
If you are using a Windows or Mac Operating System, and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
If the printer is connected, Wireless, Ethernet, or USB.
If the printer is able to make copies.
If the power cable is plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.

Officejet Pro 8630 - # of copies printed

I'm printing from a Mac and no matter how many copies I send to printer it will only print one copy. Help!

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand you are not able to print multi page prints when printing to your HP Officejet Pro 8630. It only ever prints one, I am not sure which troubleshooting steps you have tried already but would like you to complete the steps listed below:
Uninstall
1. From the computer desktop, double-click the Macintosh HD, and then click Applications.
2. Click the Hewlett-Packard folder.
3. Double-click the HP Uninstaller, and then click Continue.
4. Select the printer to uninstall, and then click Uninstall.
5. When prompted, type the Administrator name and Password, and then click OK.
Reset Printing System
1. Click the Apple icon, and then click System Preferences .
2. In the Hardware section, click Print & Fax. The Print & Fax dialog box opens.
3. Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system…
4. Click OK to confirm the reset.
5. Type the correct Name and Password.
6. Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows no printer selected.
Repair Disk Permissions
1. On the Dock, click Applications, and then click Utilities.
2. Double-click Disk Utility.
3. Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").
4. Click the Repair Disk Permissions button at the bottom of the window.
Now I would like you to restart the MAC, once it is restarted please go ahead and run the software installation. Click the link below, select your current MAC OS X from the drop down menu and continue with the on screen instructions:
