When I print an invoice from Earthlink, it is printed as a bunch of garbage. If I use internet explorer, it prints correctly
Earthlink provides an invoice for payment. It doesn't print correctly
I have the same problem and I don't know the cause or fix is BUT I found an add-on, "awesome screenshot" (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=awesome+screenshot&cat=all&x=31&y=15), which takes a screenshot of your webpage and saves it as a picture. You can then crop and edit it to suit your printing or file saving purposes.

There was no problem for years. This started several months ago.
Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

Current Firefox versions have enabled a built-in PDF Viewer that doesn't have all features that other PDF readers like the Adobe Reader have or may not function properly otherwise.
You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) from Preview in Firefox to use another application like the Adobe Reader or set to Always Ask in "Firefox > Options/Preferences > Applications".
You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu.

When using the Firefox browser, printing from an internet source, print font is too small to be readable. Can go to Internet Explorer to print from an internet source and the size of the printed font is readable.
In Preview>Preferences>PDF tab, is Greeking Threshold ste, and/or Anti-Alias text & Line art? Images Tab... Actual size, Respect DPI?
If you want to Print better Rez, dont print from Safari, but download it, load it in Preview, don't save it, it'll go to 72-150 DPI, just Print from there... any diff?
To save PDFs in better resolution from Preview, try these Quartz Filters courtesy Jerome Colas...

with Firefox as my default browser, can not print documents. Have to change to internet explorer to print.
Hello , and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you're having issues regarding your print output. I'd like to help! Although you've performed steps similar to a power reset, I'd recommend running these steps before working with the steps found in the document. I would recommend removing the ink cartridges from the printer, and perform a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar. I would also suggest following the steps in this document on Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Officejet 6810 and Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One Printer Series. Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums! -
I get an error message when trying to add new contacts and it is suggested I try back later, also when sending an e-mail the address I wish to send an e-mail to will no longer auto-fill. This has been a problem for sometime, maybe a month. The last problem I had was trying to download my March bank statement, in Adobe. If I switch to Internet Explorer I can accomplish these tasks. I am using Yahoo on both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Check the Ethernet connection to the AirPort Express. Make sure that the Ethernet connection from the Comcast modem is connected to the WAN port on the back of the AirPort Express. The WAN port is the one with the circle of dots shown over the port.
It sounds like you are connected to the Ethernet LAN port. -
I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit), using Firefox 8.0. When I open a document with Adobe Reader 9, I am unable to do anything with it (print, save, etc.) other than view it. When I use Internet Explorer I don't have this problem.
Not sure what you mean by truncated troubleshooting report, but here's what I copied from "troubleshooting" under "help". My printer is selected as the default printer in Devices and Printers. Also, remember that a document that won't print in Firefox prints fine in Internet Explorer.

I go to TD Ameritrade web page open my account. I cannot print my statement from my account. nothing happens. If I use Internet Explorer it works fine.
I have the same problem printing from the IRS website.Hello @dimsum1234,
Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that you are having a problem with printing to a printer over the cloud.
I would like to help.
Have you tried setting a manual DNS for the printer that is not receiving the print jobs?
I have found that the Level3 DNS address works best with laserjets.
Primary DNS Server 209.244.0.3
Secondary DNS Server 209.244.0.4
Another option is to remove that printers Web Services.
This will cause the printer to permanently loose its ePrint address.
When you enable the ePrint feature again, you will get a new address/claim code.
Then you can add the printer onto your HP Connected account, and Google's Cloud Print.

On a single Windows 2012 R2 server I have installed SQL 2012 and SharePoint 2013 SP1 with the latest update roll ups. When I remote desktop to the server using the farm and site collection admin account and open page http://server_name_here using
Internet Explorer, I'm able to see newsfeeds and document libraries.
If I connected to a separate Windows 7 machine as the farm and site collection admin account and open page http://server_name_here using Internet Explorer, I'm able to view the SharePoint pages except I cannot see any newsfeeds or document libraries.
There's just blank space where they should be. I have repeated this process on several other machines that are not the server and get the same result on every machine (I've tried other servers, desktops, adding the SharePoint site to the trusted sites list
in IE, even using firefox). I'm using the same account as I did when I logged onto the server directly. Any thoughts as to what's going on?
Thanks! Thanks for the idea, Harsh. What am I looking for?
It is currently set to the default of http://server_name and http://server_name:port_number (the latter is for Central Admin).
When I have access to the server, I have always done so the same way, using http://server_name. This was true when I access it from the desktop of the server itself and when I tried to access it from other desktops and servers (the machines where I had the
issues with the libraries and feeds not showing up). Are there other values I should add?
I have not tried to add http://server_FQDN as we don't plan on using that to access it but if you think it will help I would be happy to add it. -
Printing from websites using Internet Explorer
I use Internet Explorer and have an HP Photosmart 7350 printer. Whenever I print a page from a website, the print is extremely small. Is there a solution to this other than to copy and paste the page to Word and adjust the font there?
That's a bug in the Adobe installer which seems to think IE10 is IE1.
Either put IE10 into IE9 or lower mode using Compatibility View.
http://techathlon.com/internet-explorer-10-run-compatibility-mode/
Or simply use a different browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox. -
My emails are printing in very tiny type (unreadable). This happens in both my Gmail and AOL email accounts. When I use internet explorer it doesn't happen. I have researched the answers online and it seems that if I go to Firefox>file>page setup>scale and set it to 100% it may fix the problem. However, I cannot figure out how to take the first step. Where can I find "file"????
Sorry to be such a dummy.1. orange Firefox button in the upper-left corner - then click on Print - then click on Page Setup
2. if that orange Firefox button isn't showing and the Menu bar is - click to open File - then click to open Page Setup -
Internet Explorer 9 Printing to Adobe PDF Printer
Missing Some Document Folders in Windows 7 Professional w/ Internet Explorer 9 Printing to Adobe PDF Printer.
Document Library contains 81 folders.
With Internet Explorer 9 running – when I print to Adobe PDF Printer and try to locate a specific Document Library folder - 9 of the 81 folders are missing.
From Internet Explorer 9 – I locate a word or PDF document that I need to print to Adobe PDF Printer - This is the procedure that I follow:
Print
Select Printer
Adobe PDF
Libraries
Documents
My Documents - where 9 of the 81 folders are missing
Additional Information . . .
When I right click on a screen object in IE9 and select "Save As" I am able to locate and access all 81 folders.
With the same task and procedure from Microsoft Chrome – all 81 folders are shown and accessible.
Any help or pointing in the right direction greatly appreciated. That shouldn't even be possible: Standard and Pro are mutually exclusive. Not surprised it has broken.
My recommendation
a. Make sure you have your Standard serial numbers and install media.
b. Uninstall the one you don't want at the moment.
c. REPAIR the one you do want. -
Printing Problems using Internet Explorer
Here is my problem.
I created a website using iweb. Within this website I set up a page for my visitors to be able to print off. However when using Internet Explorer all that appears when you try to print is a black box. I have a feeling this is because I used a text box to enter in my text. How do I solve this problem.
Here is my site so that you can see the my dilemma. Go to the order form and try printing in Internet explorer and it will print off a black box instead of the text. www.kansasfood4life.orgPrinting pages through Internet Explorer won't work. Something about style sheet dependencies...I don't really understand...just know it doesn't work. The best way to approach the problem would probably be to make your order form a PDF file and have your visitors download it. If you want people to be able to "see" the order form, you could just drag in the PDF to iWeb and resize it to your purposes. Then set a hyperlink to the PDF file for download when someone clicks on the order form image. Of course, it would be helpful to also put a little note somewhere on the page like "Click on the order form to download a copy to your computer for printing." The downside to all of this for your visitors is that they will need to go to another application (i.e. away from your site) to print the PDF. Anyways, it's a workable solution. Hope it helps.

Hi,
I can log into hotmail but cannot open my emails or go to Sent items or anything. I have gone on the Hotmail Help Forum and MANY people are having the same problem. Hotmail say we should use Internet explorer and they do not really answer about using Firefox.
People using Firefox 3 and 4 are having problems.
Also, i downloaded Forefox 4.0.1 and it was not fully compatible with Kaspersky - has this problem also now been resolved?
In summary - is Forfox 4.0.1 NOT comaptible with Hotmail and Kaspersky?Sorry, I can't help with Hotmail, beyond clearing the cache - I haven't used it for 11 or 12 years now. Surprising that a Firefox 3.6 version would have trouble there, as 3.6 has been around for well over a year and Hotmail problems are usually with a recent release of Firefox.
IMO, if Hotmail support can't help you with Firefox issues on their website and can only recommend using IE, maybe it's time to change web mail service providers. My advice is to signup with a different web mail service, one that takes Firefox seriously. Then set up forwarding in your Hotmail account to have all your Hotmail emails forwarded to that new account. Then slowly transition your email contacts over to the new email address over time. As long as you log in to Hotmail every month or two, your account there should stay active and emails sent there should get forwarded to the new email account. I have done that three times in the last decade, and the first one I transitioned from was still forwarding email thru the two intermediary accounts to my current account until last summer when that service finally changed owners and they wanted all new accounts set up or transitioned to their new software - which I didn't do - and I hadn't even signed into my account there in over 4 years and "forwarding" was still working. -
Using Firefox, I updated my website yesterday. When viewed using Yahoo in Firefox, the older, previous version of my website was displayed.
It is now over 24 hours since my update, but Yahoo in Firefox still displays the out of date website.
This does not happen when the website is viewed using Internet Explorer - Internet Explorer started to show the updated version immediately... Why hasn't Firefox?Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
