When i put external speakers to my g72 there's sound but it's lower than if they weren't plugged in

This question is for a HP G72 laptop running Windows 7. When I plugged speakers into the headphone port the sound coming through is actually lower than when no speakers are used? What's the fix!

I see that you're having an issue with the sound when you plug in speakers.
Try this Document and follow the steps toward the bottom starting with the section " select desired speakers or sound device".

Ok, a little clarification then, you can hear music fine with the speaker and headphone? You can hear a game's music fine with the headphone but not with the speaker? Do you get the notification sounds ok with the speaker?
If the speaker sound is acceptable with everything except the game then there is a problem with that game and its settings.
If that is the case, you might want to try deleting the game and then downloading and reinstalling the game to see if that helps the problem.

Firstly, thanks for your message.
What I meant by "hi pass mid pass shrinking in" is EXACTLY what you menat, I got a heavy bass and muffed high and mid content. Apologised for my poor English.
I haven't checked the setting of the playback device yet but instead I tested it with some professional produced tracks. I know the sound tends to vary a little bit when playing from computer and CD player such as the CDJ 900 that I am using. The differences were not as significant as my own track. They tend to get a rather good balance. My track is well balanced and mixed (I guess) in Logic but it turns out completely different when using the CD player.
I bounced my work to MP3 with highest BIte Rate.

Mov is a container format, you'd need to look at the codec used by the movie file inside the container to know whether it will work with the Apple TV or not.

External speakers on HP G72-130sa laptop

I have been trying to connect Logitech S220 external speakers to my laptop via the headphone socket but can get no sound.
Do I need to do anything on the computer itself (such as load drivers, adjust sound settings etc.). I have been plugging the green speaker lead into the headphone socket.

Hmmm, If you are getting sound for headphone Jack using Headphones...That the system is just fine....Now we are looking at Speaker and audio cable....I hope we have tested to see if the speaker set is working fine...
When it comes to simple setup like these, there are just 3 components that can be a problem area...Sound card, the Jack and Speaker itself....With Sound coming out of the jack using headphone than Sound card and Jack is working...We need to rule out speakers...

My in-built speakers keep stopping working, when i unplug external speakers.

When i unplug my external speakers, to use the in-built ones, the sound goes off and the volume icon becomes greyed out (like this)
and in the preferences there's no option for internal speakers.
when i restart it comes back but it keeps happening.

4th gen Nano - only 1 channel plays when docked with external speakers

* bought 4th gen Nano direct from Apple
* Boynq iCube - music only comes out of right channel (iPod Video works fine though)
* Jensen JiMS-185 - music barely audible from left channel (iPod Video works fine on this as well)
* Insten cradle / supplied iPod cable - both channels work fine
* headphones work fine
Are there any known incompatibilities between 4th gen Nanos and some external speakers, or is does this sound more like a wonky refurb'd unit? Both problematic speaker systems were purchased new. If it was just one I'd think it was the speaker system. But given that similar issues are spanning 2 different speaker systems I'm not sure what the problem is now.

Sounds like you have an issue with the pins on the dock connector of your Nano. There is a left and right outputs on two of the pins on the dock connector. It could very well be that one pin is bent and on one radio no connection at all while on the other barely touch causing bad sound.
Alternatively it might be dirt, grime, oil, or other debris caught in the pins as well that simply need to be cleaned out.
Get a good magnifying glass, eye loupe, etc. and inspect the dock connector on the nano for debris and for damaged pins.

30gb Freezes when Connected to External Speakers

My new 30gb iPod freezes when I have it plugged into my JBL On-stage. After about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes it gets stuck and just stops working. I have to do a hard reset every time.
I am having the exact same problem with our first 30gb iPod also but didn't realize it until today (that one is usually used as a portable).
I was then talking to my brother about this and he said that he is experiencing the same problem on his 30gb except his freezes on another external speaker system (not sure which one but it's not the JBL)
Is this a known issue with the 30gb? Is there a fix?

I´ve got the same problem, 30 GB Ipod with video and attaching it to this docking stations (thru the digital connector on the base of the ipod, not the line out for headphones) :
-JBL radial
-Philips docking station (AJB300 or so it´s its name)
I get a freezing ipod after several minutes,no matter what songs are being played.
I´ve found no solution yet. I´m thinking of restoring the unit just in case.
If someone knows any answer, please feel free to share it

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

What is the likely hood if my iphone 3gs is broken when I put a what it looked like an audio jack but was a power supply into my audio port.

HT4623 how do i get an iphone to sync to my computer? It does not read when i connect it and it does make a connection sound but my ipod touch has no problem with the same charger.

Try restarting your iPhone, then the computer, then if that doesnt work, try plugging the cord into a different usb outlet. This works for my nano because my laptops outlets are cheap... Hope it helps! if all else fails, ur warrenty will cover it. no worries.
