When I put my Ipod in it comes up with this message
"The Software required for communicating with the ipod is not installed correctly. Please reinstall itunes to install the ipods software."
I did reinstall itunes but this still came up after I put my ipod in again.
What do I do???
Do a hard reset on the iPod?

Try to sync w/someone else's iTunes?
(this will tell u if it's iTunes or the iPod)
I had a similar problem with an iPod whose drive finally went bad......

Does anyone know what is wrong?Sounds like you are trying to sync the HD version of the video. You should try to download the Standard Definition copy instead and sync that to your device as HD content is only compatible with the 4G iPod Touch. See here for more information:

To prevent HD versions from being downloaded in the future head to the iTunes Store, click the Purchased link, and then select TV Shows and remove the tick mark next to Download HD when available. You should be able to download the SD version now from under this same page.

That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

Can you tell if the screen is still functional?
I assume you've entered the password many times, so if it's possible, turn on the iPhone and picture where the unlock slider is, then where the keyboard is. You might be able to enter the password. If you can hear keyboard clicks, it should work.

I have tried to correct error message by updating iPad, iTunes and security but still get same message "cannot connect to iTunes store?

My itunes wont sync with my ipod touch, it comes up with the message -42404
can someone help please? when i open uo my itunes the message :
'A required itunes component is not installed. Please re-install itunes (-42404)'
is shown and i have uninstalled itunes 2 times and re installed it and its still doing the same thing!

Remove the SC Info folder.

i have an activation problem with my iphone 3gs. i updated the software to io6 using itunes but now the phone will not complete activation because it keeps saydin the activation server is not available and to re try later. ive been trying for 6 hours but it still wont activate. if i try using itunes then it sayd no sim inserted when there is one inserted, what can i do?
You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money.. -

You might be quicker help posting in the LR forum rather than the ACR forum, but I believe the way to fix this is to delete the preview cache.
Find your catalog folder.
Close LR.
Within the catalog folder, delete the FOLDER called Catalog-Name Previews.lrdata
Start LR. -

When I try to sync my iPod touch it comes up with a message saying "iTunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later". I have reconnected and tried again later numerous times and it hasn't worked! Has anybody else had this problem and knows how to fix it??? Help me!

Just got new air and trying to set up. When I put in my Apple ID and password it comes up with error message 'can't sign in because of server error. Try again signing on.' Trying again does not fix. I know my ID and PW are right as work on other apple devices I have.

When trying to restore and update my ipod touch it comes up with an error message saying: "The ipod can not be restored this device isnt eligible for the requested build" How do i fix this?
I am having the same issue. I just had the battery replaced at a third party store. The battery powers the ipod up but it needs to be restored. It is saying it isn't eligible for rebuild. I am running MAC OS 10.4.11 itunes v. 9.0 and I just want it to be restored. I need help. Oh and its an 8 gb ipod touch.

Does anybody know why my ipod touch 3rd generations screen does not show anything? The screen is all black constantly.
