Just back it up to your computer using iTunes By connecting it to your compute, launching iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Back Up (transfer purchases of prompted). Then restore the iTunes backup to your new phone.

I damaged my iPhone 4. I have ordered a new 4s. I never backed up or synced my contacts onto my sim card. Do you have to do that manually or will my contacts be on my phone when I put my sim card in the new iPhone 4s? (Will I be able to put my 4 sim card in my 4s?
The iPhone under normal circumstances does not store contacts on the SIM Card. It can read them, but again under normal circumstances does not write them to the SIM Card.
When you sync your new iPhone to iTunes on your usual computer you can restore from a Back-Up of your old iPhone to get Contacts and other data and files installed on your new iPhone. -
I have my ipad notes linked to gmail and suddenly disappeared when I put the sim card into a new iphone, the funny thing is that almost all disappeared except 4 and with different dates up to two years. Why did this happen? No way to recover them?
Wow, Karan Taneja, you've just embarrassed yourself on a worldwide support forum. Not only is your post ridiculous and completely inappropriate for a technical support forum, but it also shows your ignorance as to whom you think the audience is. Apple is not here. It's users, like you.
If you would have spent half the time actually reading the Terms of Use of this forum that YOU agreed to by signing up to post, as you did composing that usesless, inappropriate post, you (and the rest of us on this forum) would have been much better off. -
I didn't back up my old iPhone when I got a new one. If I put my SIM card in my old iPhone and backup everything, will it transfer over to my new one?

Hi! I need help! I put my sim card into a new iphone (3g) and then tried to put it back into the old one to get my contacts from it. Now the old iphone is locked and it's asking for a passcode, but I never set up a passcode on it. Has anyone experienced this or does anyone know what to do? Thanks!
Not sure if this applies to your region, but in Australia the SIM password is often written on the "credit card" sized plastic card that the SIM was provided to you with the phone by the telco. Do you still have this? It could be in the iPhone box?

I bought my iPhone 4 in Hong Kong and I am in Vancouver right now. When I enter the sim card, it locked my iPhone. Is there any way to solve this? Thank you
Inserting a SIM card does not lock a phone.
If the device is carrier locked, the only way to unlock it is to contact the carrier to whom it is locked. -
Can i put my SIM card from my old iphone 5 into my new Iphone 5 i just purcahed? And will my phone start working?
Yes all of the iPhone 5 family use the nano sim, so as long as you did not switch to a phone locked to another network it will work. But you do need to go through the activation/setup procedure with tHat sim.

Hi
my name is Al-Ameen, Am from Nigeria, actually my brother from the united kingdom sent me an iphone5, So when i insert my Sim card i discovered the iPhone is locked.
So the reason why am sending this mail is to ask for the procedure of how to unlock an iPhone from another country the amount paid and all the other information about unlocking an iPhone.
Hope to hear back from you guys.
Many Thanks
Al-Ameen.You need to contact the carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify. You may need to talk to your brother about this.

Can I buy a white iPhone 4 and put my sim card from my old iPhone 4 in it?
Can I buy a white iPhone 4 and put my sim card from my old iPhone 4 in it?
Yes.
Back your old phone up in iTunes first. Then after you swap the SIM card into the new phone, connect the new one to iTunes and choose "Restore from backup." It should replicate everything that was on the old phone, right down to most of your settings and text message history. -
I've broken my iPhone and have put my sim card in my old iPhone 3. If I plug my old iPhone 3 into my computer, will it update the iPhone 3 with everything that is on my phone that is now broken, or will it 'update' iTunes with what was on the old iPhone?
Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off. -
When I put in a credit card in on the App Store. It says "contact iTunes support" but I know I put in the card number properly.

When I use my iPad for an hour or more it gets really warm to the touch, what is wrong?
WWhen I use my iPad for an hour or more it gets really warm to the touch, what is causing this?
you using it.
WHen batteries drain they generate heat, as does your screen and processor.
Warm is normal. if it ever gets too hot to handle - literally - then stop using it and book an appiontment at your local apple store. But really, generating heat is no different from your computer getting warm as it's used. -
I got given a iphone 4s and when i put in sim card it says invalid sim
my iPhone 4s is saying invalid sim. I was told that it was unlocked.
The iPhone needs to be unlocked officially by the carrier to which it was locked.
Ask the person who gave you the iPhone to have it unlocked by the carrier. -
If I was to remove my sim from my iPhone 6 and put it into another phone to use for the night, what happens to my data on my iPhone 6?
Will everything remain the same (e.g. photos, messages) when I put my sim card back in my iPhone?Nothing will happen if you remove your sim card from your iPhone 6. The only thing that will happen is that you will not be able to use it as a phone - you will have no service.
Nothing is stored on a sim card of an iPhone - iPhones cannot store data on a sim card - everything is stored on the phone itself, with syncing via iTunes.
You can take the sim card out and nothing will happen to your data - it is all stored on the phone. -
i was sent a new sim card from orange to change to a new contract . when i changed the sim card i noticed the iphone was looking for a signal but could not find one . when i went into settings i noticed that the line which contains carrier and the blue icon with the telephone symbol had disappeared . any idea how i can get it back ?

Concat 4 8-bit bytes into 1 32-bit word
I am just getting started up with LabView. I have an FPGA that is sending a signed (2's Comp) 32 bit vector to the PC serial port in four 8-bit chunks. I am having trouble figuring out how to recombine the four bytes into the original 32-bit word. It
