When I receieved my new iPhone 5,
I forgot my "active Apple ID and set up the phone on an inactive apple ID. after realizing my error, I now have to wait 90 days after changing to my active Apple ID before it'll sync my music? Really? It was a bonehead move, I realize, but it seems a harsh punishment.
You will if you want to transfer you music and other iTunes media to your phone as these are not in iCloud (except for music purchaed from the iTunes store).

You cannot merge Apple IDs but you can go to Settings > iCloud and 'Delete Account'. When prompted to turn off documents and data, choose the only option which is Delete from my iPhone, but on the other prompt for Contacts, Calendars, etc you can choose 'Keep on my iPhone' Then once the Account is Deleted form the iPhone, log back in with the correct Apple ID and choose Merge when prompted. This will merge your data from this iPhone with that iCloud account effectively putting your devices on the same account.

A friend of my daughter's used my mac computer when she got her new iphone to help set it up. Now that I have a new iphone, her apps and all the app store information is stuck on my phone. Her app account keeps showing up when I try to install something new, and I obviously do not have her password. How do I get this off my phone??
Open iTunes on the computer. Without any iPhone plugged in, go to iTunes' menu and do Store > Sign Out.
The click the iTunes Store row on the left of the iTunes display. You can then sign on from the signon row on the right side of the display using the correct Apple ID and password. Then you'll be all set! -
I have downloaded the latest version of itunes to my computer and when I sync my new iphone, it says it is syncing but doe not pull the music in my library. Can anyone assist me in figuring out how to sync my iphone? The computer that has my current music library is old so I want to get it synced before it dies...

Set up the new phone as a new iPhone (without using your backup), then update it to the latest iOS (7.1.2). Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens again and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts. Need help with my broken iPhone4s. It was hit by a car, and I need to know how to back up my data to my computer/iCloud so when I get my new iPhone I can sync it to there and still have all my old data, such as contacts, photos, apps, etc.
If you had iCloud backup turned on, and it made a backup - yes. If you didn't have iCloud backup turned on - but were using iCloud for Contacts, calendars, etc. You will get the contacts and calendars, etc back.
Purchases made with your appleID can be redownloaded as long as they are still available in the iTunes store.
If you connected your phone to a computer with iTunes, there may be a backup on there as well. -
When i synced my new iphone to my pc i clicked the wrong button - instead of restoring it from my old phone's last backup i clicked set up as new iphne - now it appears all my old texts and my notes have gone. Any ideas how I can get them back?
When you plug it into iTunes - it will show on the left side of the screen. Right click on it, and you will have a list of restores to use. Pick the one you want, and it will pull all of that data. It worked on mine...

regards,Apple ID? If so, Settings > iCloud > scroll to bottom and delete account (doesn't delete anything if you tell it to keep info on iPhone). Then sign in with correct Apple ID.

When I got my new iphone 4, I gave my wife my old iphone. She has her own Apple Id but the icloud on her phone is in my email name account. If I delete it to create her own icloud account, will I loose my stuff on my icloud account?
Welcome to the Apple community.
When you delete the old account from the phone, the data is only deleted from that device, it is not deleted from the cloud. As such you will not lose the data off your phone either. -

You got a new iPhone 4, and out of the box the phone is in recovery mode? If that's the case, return it.

When i plug my new iphone 4s into my pc, itunes recognises devise but when I open it it freezes itunes. Can anyone help? When I first plugged phone in, itunes automatically opened but it was a new itunes with none of my files on. But if I was to open my itunes and then plug phone in, it recognises devices but freezes.

My itunes sync stopped working when I got the new iphone. How to fix it?
My Iphone 4 worked great. It synced with my itunes perfectly. I;d buy a song on my computer and moments later it would also show up on my iphone. I thought I configured all the boxes correctly when I got the new iphone but now the wifi sync feature seems to have stopped working. I went back and checked and it appears all the right boxes are checked but still no sync. When I go to wifi sync in settings it says it has to be plugged in, locked and the home comuter available. I tried that and it still wont wifi sync. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Help please.

Try restarting. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears. -
