you either don't have a reader plugin for your browser or you have a security setting preventing/blocker preventing non-local pdfs from opening in your browser.

Anytime that I click on a pdf file in a browser window, the file will not open automatically. I am forced to save it on my computer first and then access the file. When I click on it after it is saved locally, it opens as it should.
If you are not able to get Adobe Acrobat Reader to open .pdf files in the browser. Even after you check in prefs to show pdf files in the browser.
Make this modification for all versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader that show under this key.

If the iCloud account you are trying to delete is old ID that was later updated to change it to your current ID, you can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now, if desired, you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Trouble opening pdf's - I have received several pdf's from a friend via e-mail (Thunderbird). Some of them open just fine but others give me the message: "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired." My friend made sure that the files in question opened without issue on his computer (a PC). Further, I was able to open one of these "damaged" files on my Android phone, but I cannot open them on the Macbook Air. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -

Sorry should have said, when I log in my emails pop up momentarily. Then, it seems as if the pages aren't loading. A message comes up on the bottom left that the pages are loading, then errors occur and nothing happens.

What is making my email show for a second and then disappear before I can open it? This is creating a problem. They aren't going to junk mail either. They are disappearing on iCloud and my iPad and my iMac.

I am trying to get minecraft for my iPod touch. When I put in my apple ID it says that I have to verify that I can buy it. I click ok I pulls up a site ask me for my apple ID and then I put in my security questions. After that it ask me some weird question like Who Is your favorite teacher and another question like what is your least favorite car model. I did not set those as my secure questions. You may very well have damaged your library - or even your system by not having adaquate storage available
And never select all of the pitcture and move them - that will destroy your library - the iPhotolibrary is a SQLite database and must always be kept intact as a single entity -
Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

My iTunes won't update on my computer. I have windows vista. I can open up itunes and when I click on "check for updates" it asks if I want to download iTunes version 11.1.5 and I click "Download iTunes" but then nothing happens. Sometimes uptop the loading bar will appear but for only a split second. I have tried restarting, shutting down, I cannot figure out why it won't download. What's happening and how do I fix it?

Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.

Can anyone help me find my old library now that I appear to have deleted it or overwritten it accidentally? I'm always asked if I want to update when I put in my i-pod and have to do that before I can open my library so I think it was this action that caused me to delete previous library. Can anyone help? Hello, When I have a site open and wish to close it, the window closes but if I want to immediately open a new site, I get an error box saying that Firefox is already open. I usually takes several minutes for the close process to work properly before I can open a new site url.
I also have been having system crashes when I am looking at video--can be news reports, video on my harddrive, or any other streaming video I may be watching. Is this due to Firefox or can you say?

sometimes when i close all of the firefox windows it tells me i need to close all or firefox windows before i can open another firefox window. i have to restart my computer for it to open again. i have uninstalled it and then redownloaded it and get the same problem.
