When i record the track plays too fast

when i record the track plays fast and when i pause it and press play it play normal but when i press record it starts playing squeeky and faster?? any one can help

What audio interface are you using with Audition? Make sure all Windows Sounds are turned off because otherwise Windows may grab the soundcard and change the sample rate without you knowing.
Yes upgrade route/price to AA3 is available for any previous version of Audition.

  • Bounced tracks play too fast in iTunes

This is a continuation of an old thread that was never resolved:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=853393
Basically, nothing has changed. I can bounce my tracks from Logic, and they play fine everywhere except iTunes, where they play too fast. I can play them on my iPod in the car and everything works at normal speed.
All my iTunes tracks (including the ones bounced from Logic) share the following characteristics:
    192 kbps
    44.1 kHz
    Profile: Low Complexity
However, the Logic tracks play fast, whereas everything else plays normally.
    I have a standard G5 sound card, not a 3rd party one.
I'm about to conclude that this is a standard limitation with Logic, that tracks created there cannot be listened to at regular speed in iTunes. Is that a known issue? Is this limitation by design?

Sorry for the slow reply. Yes, that is the problem I'm having, and it's so weird, I thought maybe there was some wacky glitch in the program. Logic is not without its bizarre idiosyncrasies, as you've probably noticed yourself.
Check this out for bizarre: I've bounced these tunes down to my iPod, where I can listen to them over headphones, in my car, etc, with the tracks playing at the right speed. However, if I plug that same ipod into my home stereo in the living room (where the laptop is also plugged in), and play those same tracks, they play too fast. I know, it doesn't make sense. But I'm not imagining it. It's completely crazy.
In Audio Midi Setup my audio output is set for 44.1khz.
Anyhow, the problem is less consistent these days. That is, sometimes I can bounce a track down and it plays right. Othertimes, not. I still haven't found the common denominator to this problem, but if I discover anything, I'll post it here.

  • Recorded avi is played too fast

I am actually using Labview 8.6 with NI Vision Acquisition Software and USB camera. I made an application, that simply captures the images from the camera and write them to avi file. The issue is that when I want to play recorded movie, it goes like fast forward during play.
Example: I record 10s movie and when I play it, the length is shortened to 5s and it goes like fast-forward.
Anyone had similar issue?? Thank you in advance for your help!!

    Hi Chaded,
I've had a look at your code and set it up with a camera at my end. It seems that although the fps is set within the express VI, it is not always operating at that rate. This makes it difficult to synchronise the two parts of your code. So what we can do is create a producer consumer architecture that will solve this issue. Iv attached the standard Producer/Consumer to this post so you can build onto that.
To explain the concept of a Producer/Consumer first. It works because it has two loops, which can run at different rates. The aptly named producer loop "produces" the data, and places this data into a queue. This is then "consumed" or "processed" within the consumer loop.
So specific to your application. You will need to build your image acquisition into the producer loop, running at X fps, then in the consumer loop you will need to set up the build .avi functionality as you have in your previous example again running at the same X fps.
Post back if you have any more questions.

  • Audio book plays too fast on the ipad - how do i fix it?

audio book plays too fast on the ipad - how do i fix it?

While I don't listen to audiobooks on myh iPad, the following might apply in your case:
When you navigate to the player controls in the iPod app, in older OS's, and perhaps still in the Music app in iOS 5, you will see a variable speed control on the right hand side of the scrubber bar. Sequential taps on that change the speeds.
This does appear in spoken content only, I think, as I see it in podcasts all the time. It's not there for video or music content, so I'd expect it to appear for Audiobooks as well.

  • TS1008 when the usb mic (Blue) is connected I can't hear the track play

when the usb mic (Blue) is connected I can't hear the track play. Track plays fine when mic not installed...hoping this is a typical set-up issue easily resolved.

Did you choose the the output in Garageband > Preferences > Audio midi?

  • How do I add silence to the beginning of a track? Before the 10.0.3 update, you could drag the region further into the timeline and it would automatically create silence before the track plays when you export it. What am I missing?

Before the 10.0.3 update, you could drag the region further into the timeline and it would automatically create silence before the track plays when you export it. What am I missing? How do I i do this in the current version of Garage band?

what is the problem? Can't you drag the audio region to the right, or is the silence at the beginning of the track missing?
You could mark the measures you want to export by the Cycle region. Then any beginning silence will be included.

  • Using Pro Logic X to record. I have several tracks and I'm trying to record an audio track. I have the mic connect to Avalon 737 then into apollo interface. When I record all track are being recorded into that track. I can't just get the audio to record.

Thanks for responding. Everything seems to work right except for the when I plug into the 737. Ok let me see if I can be more clear. I had this set up done with two representatives of Neumann, and DBox. Here it is I hope this helps. 32 Channel snake (24 Inputs 8 outputs) Channels 1-8 from snake to my Octopre for Drums. From Octropre output quarter inch lines into the Apollo 2, quarter inch input. This is so that the Apollo 2 is taking the drum tracks. Snake Channel 9-12 into Apollo 1 channels 1-4 xlr. Snake Channel 13-16 into Apollo 2 Channels 1-4 xlr. Snake Channel 17 into the 737, output of 737 into Channel 5 of the Apollo 1 quarter inch.
Ok The Dbox. Sum output L&R into channel input 7&8 of Apollo 1. Apollo 1 output channels 1-8 into summing input channel 1-8 of Dbox. Apollo 1 main L&R going to main analog input L&R of Dbox. Spid out to DAW input of Dbox. I have both ADAT of both Apollos connected by optical wire. Also have port 2 of Apollo 1 into port 1 of Apollo 2 connected by Firewire.  Let me know. Hope I got it right. Thanks for responding.

  • Videos play too fast on ipad - sounds like super high speed mini mouse

We just bought the ipad and when we play videos on vimeo or youtube they play at an ultra high speed like the fps is messed up - it sounds like a record being played too fast
Is this our ipad or a setting - we are worried because we do not see the problem listed anywhere else.
    Thanks!

Have your rebooted/restarted your iPad? you do that by pressing the Home and power/sleep button at the same time until the slider to power off the iPad appears. Slide the slider and when screen activity stops depress the two buttons again until the Apple logo appears. When the iPad completes rebooting try again to see if that solved your problem.

I think you should give it ago, the Flash Encoder is straight
    forward
    from what I remember.

  • How can I fix corrupted audiobooks category--plays too fast and is gravelly?

How can I fix corrupted audiobooks category--plays too fast and is gravelly? Other music categories are unaffected..

On the audio book (and podcast) playing screen there is a playback speed selector. It is the box on the right hand side of the screen right below the scrubber bar. It say either 1/2X, 1X or 2X, the playback speeds. Tap the box to cycle through the playback speeds.

  • My podcasts play too fast in my iphone

I did not had a problem before but now with the same podcasts I use to listen to they play too fast. You can still understand them but it is not pleasant at all. Does anyone has the same problem and was able to solve it?

It's likely you accidentally touched the button that speeds up playback to 1.5x.

  • Music/audio plays too fast

using a new laptop (this compaq) and installed itunes. All music/audio, whether from a CD, or itunes or the audio from a website, plays too fast. I've tried lots of things -found a page in the support section (tried all except the driver thing) -- ANY THOUGHTS?? THis is driving me crazy and can't do anything w/ my ipod except listen to what's already on there!

You may want to check your soundcard output in QuickTime. See this post for directions on the process: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa;jsessionid=aXxb7IZbMDPmI_4E?messageID=814726&ft=y&#814726
And this Article: iTunes and QuickTime for Windows: Songs and other audio don't play correctly
And before you do any of the above, make sure that you have all the recent Windows Updates from windowsupdate.com. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your particular sound card, and make sure you have the latest DirectX installed. Any of these could also cause this problem without QuickTime being the culprit.

  • Microsoft 2000 OS, all videos playing too fast, what to do?

    Have MS 2000 Professional OS
All online streaming videos (like youtube) playing too fast, extremely annoying rushing "chipmunk" effect.

Word is getting around on the internet that Apple has basically stopped monitoring and moderating these forums. Expect to see this sort of thing increasing. If Apple isn't going to keep a lid on trolling like this then they had better just shut the forums down. It won't take long for these forums to be totally overrun by Mac bashers, trolls, and Windows fanboys. There's something about the Mac that scares them and makes them feel insecure.
