When I restart my computer, it does not find my wireless printer

I have installed the printer twice.  Each time I can print from any location wirelessly from my iphone and my laptop.  When I turn off my computer, upon restart neither can find the printer.  The printer has not been turned off.  The first time this happened, I went through all the steps on the help website, including resetting the wireless router, etc.  I even re-installed the printer.

The static IP address is on step 6 on the link below.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02817031&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&dlc=&lc=e...
You can look through here and follow the steps needed.
There is no setting that will keep the printer from going into idle, sorry.

  • I have a MacPro with 10.7.2 installed. I want to create a new partition and install 10.5. When I put in the install DVD and restart the computer, it does not restart. What can I do?

I just purchased a  MacPro with 10.7.2 installed. I want to install 10.5 on a separate partition.
I created the partition with no issues, now when I put in the 10.5 install DVD and restart the computer, it does not restart.
All I get is a grey screen. no icons, no nothing. I have to shut the computer down.
I really need to do this. I plan on upgrading to FCP X, but I still need to finish some old projects that were done with FCP 7. I need the different boot drives

This is a brand new machine that I just purchased from Apple. It was delivered yesterday
The old computer is an old PowerMac G5, but my OS X install disc is a retail version of 10.5.
I also tried the OS X 10.5 install disc that came with my MacBook Pro (2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Dual).
Same issue - nothing but a grey screen when the system tries to boot from the DVD

There is a hardware problem.  Whether it's worth it to you to have no working phone for 2 months until you can update vs paying for replacement/repair now is a question only you can answer.

  • Is thare a way to delete extre genres catagories from ipod classis when pluged in to computer I con not finde any way to do so?

Is thare a way to delete extra genres categories from ipod classic? When plugged in to computer I can not find any kind of option?

Of course. Simply change the genre of the songs so that none of your songs have the genre you wish to get rid of.
You have two ways of showing the genre in iTunes. So if you cannot already see the genre, choose one of the following methods:
Select View/As List and then select View/View Options and put a tick-in-the-box for Genre. Now that you can see the genre, simply select the songs with the genre you wish to change and type in the genre you do want.
Select View/Column Browser and then select View/Column Browser/Genre (so that genre is ticked). This time, in the top browser column (genre) scroll down to and select the genre. Now all songs with that genre are shown in one group. Either a.) change them one at a time (if choosing different "new" genres) or b.) select all of them at once - and then select File/Get Info/Info/Genre,  and replace the genre.
A genre is only shown if there is at least one song with that genre.

  • My iMac does not find my wifi printer or my Chromecast.

My iMac does not find my wifi printer or my Chromecast. I was able to ping the chrome cast and printer and I'm able to connect to these devices with my windows computer, iPhone and iPad. I have OS X 10.9.2. I'm able to print by setting up the printer using the IP address that was assigned by my router instead of letting my iMac do the finding. It seems that the iMac either does not like the info that is receiving or something is blocking the signal (other than the firewall, which is off). Could someone have an idea what the issue might be?

  • Iphone and ipad does not find the airprint printer

After I upgraded my iphone and ipad I lost my airprint function. Ipad and Iphone does not find the airprinter. The printer is a HP Photosmart 5520, and it does work wireless with my Windows PC that is on the same nettwork.

In our case the Airprint printers could not be found after IOS upgraded to 7.1.2, all was fine before then.  I have scoured the forums and many people have suffered the same problem.  All the solutions given are aimed at a domestic network with just a Wireless router.  They all involve restarting all the devices and rejoining the IOS devices to the wireless network.  Some people have had to do it multiple times before they regained use of the printers.
In my case none of these work because I am talking about a business network with two wireless access points, several switches and a router.  To prove it is the IPads I have installed Bonjour onto a Windows PC (Bonjour is the technology used by Airprint).  This finds the printers perfectly so it is definitely something that was changed in the version of Bonjour on the IOS 7.1.2 that is causing all the problems.
I was hoping that Apple would release another upgrade to IOS to fix this problem but it has been several weeks so far and nothing has emerged.
So something that worked perfectly a few weeks ago is now dead in the water because of an update on the IPads!!!!!!!!

  • Firefox does not find my wireless HP 6500 printer.

Running Firefox version 9.0.1 (Just now upgraded from 8.0.1) on a Windows 7 PC. Just installed a HP Officejet 6500A wireless printer. Printer works fine from Chrome, IE and Microsoft Word, but Firefox apparently cannot find it. Print command does nothing. Print Preview command generates a note stating that a printer can not be found. I no longer have the HP Deskjet 970Cse or the Cannon MP210 printers installed on my computer.

With a new printer installation, reset the '''''print.print_printer''''' preference. You may also need to reset the print.printer_''(printer name)''_ preferences shown as '''user set'''.

  • I pad does not find my AirPrint printer even though it prints the printer test page okay

My XP 400 Epson AirPrint printer is installed on my I Pad 2.  The I pad requested that a test page be printed after printer installed and the printer printed the test page. When I want to print a web page or a text document the I pad cannot find an AirPrint printer.  What can be done to correct this error.

    Dick-
The XP-400 is listed on Apple's list of AirPrint printers, so it should work as soon as you pair it with your WiFi.  No other printer installation is involved.  I assume your XP-400 has the latest updates from Epson.
Are you using an Epson printing App, by any chance?  The Epson printing App does not use AirPrint, it uses the printer's native printing language.  Other Apps on the iPad can not print via the Epson App.
In other words, something else is keeping your iPad from seeing the printer.  One cause might be that your WiFi router does not correctly handle Bonjour data required by AirPrint.  If that is your problem, contact the router's manufacturer to see if there is a change in its setup or a firmware update that will solve the problem.

  • Scan app does not find 4625 sacnner / printer in windows 8.1

I posted a while ago that I could not install the printer / scanner software on my laptop runningWindows 7.1  because it would not recognise my printer, although
    1. I provided the correct IP address when asked by the installer
    2. The installer worked perfectly on my  desktop PC
    3. I could see my printer/scanner with this IP address on my home wifi network in my browser
    4. I could install the printer functionality  (but not the scanner)  over the wifi through Windows by searching and selecting from its list of HP drivers
So I gave up after trying many times over many days.
Subsequently. I  have upgraded to Windows 8.1.  The HP installer still does not work. But by letting Windows automatically find the printer (only) driver over the network I can (as before) print to a thing called HP Deskjet 4620 Series Class Driver.
Now I see Windows 8.1 has a separate App for the HP scanner called also HP Deskjet 4620 Series Class Driver. This, as before, cannot connect to the scanner. But:  this is interesting.  While trying unsucessfully  to connect, it displays an IP address for this HP Deskjet 4620 Series scanner which is different from the printer IP Address. (It is not a valid IP address on my network, I looked though my browser). It seem to me that if I could somehow change the scanner IP address to the correct one, the scanner would work.
    Any ideas?

    Hello Mikets ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having connectivity issues with the scanning portion of the printer.
I suggest we try the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.
Write me back and let me know if this helped or not.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue and you would like to seek more options, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. • Apple TV does not find AirportExpress wireless network

    Hi all,
this problem is driving me nuts, maybe someone here can help.
At the moment I have an Apple TV in our living room. There is an AirportExpress device in the same room, which is creating a wireless network (WAP/WAP2 Personal, name "BNK") and is connected to a DSL modem.
All computers (my MacBook Pro, my wife's Sony laptop) easily find the wireless network, whether they are in the living room or in any other room of our apartment.
The Apple TV, however, never finds our network - it gives me a list of many other networks from our neighbors, but our own network is never in the list. This even happens when the Apple TV is about 2 meters away from the AirportExpress.
Does anyone have any idea why the Apple TV is not picking up the network signal? Do I need to have a stronger WLAN access point because of potential interferences from the other networks? But why are the computers working fine, then?
    Thanks a lot and cheers,
    Bastian

I see this post has remained unanswered. But as I have a similar problem I am hoping someone will answer.
I recently bought an Apple TV and hooked it up to my Sony 46" HD LCD TV.
    My desktop is an iMac
The internet connection is through the Airport express conected to an ADSL touter.
The wireless network is working and I have access to internet through my iMac or other laptops.
While installing AppleTV it detects my network but seems does not connect to internet.
As a result while it synchronises with iTunes it fails to download from the internet directly. I am unable to upgrade to the latest version or play youTube or images from my mobileMe account.
I have tried figuring out the problem but unable to do so. Thanks for your help.

  • Macbook Air will not find network wireless printer, ipad   PC print ok

Deskjet 3055a printer on wireless connection to Virgin Superhub.
ipad and a PC print ok.
I cannot add MacBook Air (in same room) to the Network.
    Please help.

    Hi Dagnabit47,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like there is an issue adding a wireless printer on your MacBook Air. The article linked below will walk you through the process of adding the printer and ensure the MacBook Air setup correctly.
OS X Mavericks: Set up a printer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14143
    Add a Wi-Fi printer
Follow the instructions that came with the printer to connect it to your Wi-Fi network and turn it on. Use the instructions to unpack the printer, install ink or toner, and add paper. For more information, see this article:
Apple Support article: Connecting a Wi-Fi printer to your Wi-Fi network
Choose Apple menu > Software Update to make sure OS X has the latest information about printer software it can download from Apple. If Software Update doesn’t list an update for your printer, you have the latest software.
Open a document to print, then choose File > Print.
Open the Printer pop-up menu and choose your printer in the Nearby Printers section of the menu. If you don’t see your printer, choose Add Printer from the Printer pop-up menu.
A dialog appears listing printers on your local network. It may take a minute or two for your printer to appear.
If you’re asked for an administrator name and password
Select your printer when it appears in the list, and then click Add. OS X automatically uses AirPrint if your printer supports it, or it selects printer software (also called a printer driver) and downloads it from Apple if necessary.
    I hope this helps.
