When I right-click on an image, the dialog box (copy image, save image, etc) is now tiny
The right-click menu recently changed - it now only shows a max of three menu items in a very small box.
Compounding the problem is the speed at which the menu items scroll. It's so quick that I can't pick the menu item I want. I have to use the up or down arrow keys.
Any ideas?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

I have an Edit In - Photoshop option, but not an Export - Photoshop option.
Obviously to have right-click Edit In to work, the photo you're right-clicking on needs to be selected. I assume this is not the problem, and that the photo is selected.
Mavericks 10.9.3 has a problem where the Users folder is hidden, and you need to update iTunes to fix it, but it's been a few weeks since this happened so hopefully you're up-to-date and the Users folder isn't hidden anymore.
If you can't get things to work, I'd uninstall LR and uninstall Photoshop, then install Photoshop, and update it, then install LR and update it, as a way to get any wayward security or other OS-level things reset. -
How do I compress a file on a Mac. I do not see and option to compress a file when I right click on it and the Apple help does not provide and accurate answer
Select the file with one click, then go to File in the menu bar and select Compress...
By the way Niel's post says control - click. This means click with the control key held down. It produces the same result as going to File in the menu bar and selecting Compress... -

Safari crashes when using the dialog box to import/save files. One doesn't have to actually upload or download any file, the mere invocation of the relevant dialog box brings down all open Safari windows after a couple of seconds.

I have tried in-installing safari but it seems not to help. I have tried installing it to a third, newly installed pc and come to the same result.
All PCs are fully up-to-date as it regards Microsoft and Apple patches. Any ideas as to why this might happen?Still having the same problem. Ever the optimist, I submit the following info.

I save batches of records from an info source and need to give them memorable names as I download them, so that I can find the correct record again easily. Currently the system just calls them, e.g. wrlb, wrlb[2], wrlb[3]. When I used IE, I could type a filename into the dialog box as I saved, but Firefox doesn't seem to have any option to rename. Can anyone point me to a solution?

Just check with the control parameters of the function module, if you have changed any of it.
If you have changed it then try to give the no-dialog field of the control parameter table as space.
If the dialog box which gives you the Output device name and others appears then just below the output device name you have the column for the page selection.Just pass the values of the pages separating them with comma(like 2, 5 will print second and fifth pages) and it prints only those pages.

I save it to a folder and try to open it up like i did before. I never had this problem with Internet Explorer. Please help.
If you right-click the image and choose View Image Info, what shows as "Type"?
If it shows JPEG image, for example, make sure to save the file with a .jpg file extension. If you place quotation marks around the entire file name, e.g.,
"myfile.jpg"
then you can ensure that the name as the correct extension. Does that help? -

When I right click on an image in firefox 4, why is there no option to block image?
This seems like a feature that shouldn't go away. If you want to block images now, you have to manually enter the address of the image. I'm a little worried that other features are going to start disappearing. Is there a check-box to turn this on? I don't feel like writing an extension to correct something so minor.
That's one of the most useful features that has just been taken out. It would be greatly appreciated if one could still enable image blocking on a right-click. It's simpler than the "View Image Info" workaround.

When I right click and go to the edit it in box my CS4 is still in there.
How do I get rid of the small CS4, which is no longer in my pc computer, and replace it with CS6, so it goes to CS6. It's small script and not replacable on that page.
Also, and this may have something to do with it, when I open two or more photos in lightroom 4 and want to transfer them to CS6 layers, that area, and the few above it stay grayed out and wont work. And then if something still doesn't work, try the Reset Warning Dialogs button in the LR preferences dialog.
If that still doesn't do the trick, you'll need to explain a little more about "that area ... stay grayed out" -
The menu has trouble appearing properly, and sometimes doesn't appear at all.
I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -
When I right click on an image and choose "view image" from the list, it opens a page with the image on it but the background of the page is dark gray. How do I change the background color that the images appears on?
It is a new feature in Firefox 11+ versions to display a single image centered with an almost black background.
It is added by this stylesheet:

You can look at this extension to set your preferred background color and remove the centering if you display a single image in a tab.

When I right click on an image to do a save as it does not let me save the image as a jpeg, all that is in the drop down menu is "all files" which saves it as a bunch of numbers and letters etc. It save it as an aspx file.
Try to add the .jpg file extension yourself if Firefox doesn't do that when you save an image file.<br />
If you've already saved images with a wrong file extension then rename them and add a .jpg file extension. Check the Properties of the file via the right-click context menu to see if that has worked. -
When I click down bookmarks, often the bookmarks tab will come down, but it'll be blank. Another problem is that when I right click on and image or right click on a web address, the box will come up blank. The program is freezing when I do this. I'll then have to shut Firefox down through my task manager and restart it. But usually within minutes the same problem occurs.
My keynote is on my iPad and I have also sent it to my gmail account. (Now I'm trying to figure how to get it from my gmail account to google docs/drive.) I'm pretty sure if I can get it into docs then there is an icon in edmodo that will upload files from google docs.
