When I run the FireFox icon a program named Facemoods take the page, I dont know how this hijack the Fox page..?
I don't know how and when, but from a short time to now my Fire Fox page are being managed by one strange app named Facemoods and altought I attempt many methods for eliminate (regedit, control panel, etc) but nothing results, each time I push the Fox icon the facemoods take control of the browser page. By that I eliminate Fox how my predetermined browser page and put Google in charge.

To reset you homepage, go to your browser settings:
In Explorer - Go to tools --> Internet Options --> General--> select your default homepage setting
In Firefox - Tools --> Options --> General --> select your default homepage setting
In Chrome - click on the Wrench icon (top of browser), then go to Options --> Basics--> select your default homepage settings.
If you get Facemoods when you open new tabs, this is how to remove:
In Explorer- to remove Facemoods search from new tabs, the program has to be uninstalled completely. To remove, go to your computer's Control Panel--> Add/Remove Programs--> Find Facemoods and click Remove.
In Firefox- Go to Tools and then add-ons and find Facemoods. Click Options then select Advanced and uncheck the first option "Use Facemoods as enhanced search for new tab".
Besides, our intention is to offer an alternative way of search, one which enables us to give Facemoods free of charge to users all over the world. 'We inform of the home page change during installation with the possibility to un-check the option.'
If you remember the name or link of a program you've recently downloaded, it would be helpful to us in assuring this kind of thing does not happen again.

If it's saying that you need to close firefox before you can continue, do this:
# Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del
# Click Task Manager
# After this, you'll want to left click on the process which says "firefox.exe".
# You'll also want to close ANYTHING that says "plugin-container.exe", as this is what holds firefox's plug in's and is part of it.
If what you've said above is true and it's complaining that you need to close firefox first, then this is all you have to do.
Alternatively, if you can't find task manager, simply restart your computer; Firefox doesn't boot on start.
You can also make sure that ALL windows are closed from Firefox, including the download window. Any of the above should fix your problem.
I also noticed you stated you're using firefox 5.0. The most recent version is 6.0. You can go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/ to download the newest version. -

This is happening because they were purchased with your older Apple ID. Apps and there updates are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, regardless of the ID on your phone in Settings>Store. The only way to stop the prompt for your older ID would be to delete these apps from your phone.

Hi! I am using firefox on Windows 7 home premium platform today I updated my firefox to its latest version i.e. 3.6.12 first I uninstall the firefox but keeps my personal setting and then restart my system but when I click on firefox icon nothing happened in fact its exe was running in backend firefox version 3.5 is working fine on my system as I low grade myself to 3.5 again. Kindly help.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

When I click on an Icon on my desktop to take me to a site (such as Google) I get a message that it could not find the location. Then it goes ahead and opens a Firefox window with the site anyway as if the message never happened. Then when I close the window I see that the message is still there. I have to close it separately. Any suggestions? Oh, and this only happens if Firefox is NOT already active. If I have another Firefox window open when I click on the Icon, it just opens as expected. This message appears no matter which site Icon I select. It did not happen before I upgraded to ver 9.0.

Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

I am trying to install a software from a cd but when I run the cd to my mac pro, the icon that I have to click to install the software has the extension .exe and when I click on this it asks me to choose application. The icon is different if I use the cd in my Pc (windows).

Parallels Desktop and VMware Fusion run Windows from inside Mac OS X through emulation. Applications which require direct hardware access likely won't work, and this method is slower than Boot Camp. It is more convenient to use, as no restarts are needed.
CrossOver Mac and CrossOver Games translate the Windows instructions directly to Mac OS X ones. This is the cheapest method if you don 't already have Windows and the least compatible one.
Stating which applications you want to use will enable more specific advice to be provided.

I have Firefox 16.0.2 installed. I have manually upgraded my Citrix plugin to the latest version (12.3.0.8), but when i run the "Check to see if your plugins are up to date" link it still has Status "Outdated Version", Action "Upgrade" in orange with a link that goes nowhere. Is this a problem with Firefox or Citrix plugin?

When I run the Apple Software update, it tells me that iCloud and iTunes have invalid signature and will not be downloaded. When I DL iTunes64setup.exe, the program will not start (there's a bar that flashes but nothing actually begins). I've done everything short of reinstalling Windows to fix this (system resore, unistalling all Apple products, taking down firewall, running Windows FixIt - which either won't find the problem or gives me an error saying that the troubleshooter cannot be downloaded at this time, going into the security features to allow programs without valid signatures, trying to install earlier versions of iTunes). It all started when I downloaded the Decemberists new album on my iPhone, and it wasn't downloading it properly so I connected it to my Dell, but some songs still wouldn't DL - also, the newest OS for my iPhone still won't install via WiFi - and so I uninstalled iTunes first, but nothing is helping. And I don't have any security issues (Norton has checked). Any ideas? I'm at my wit's end after 3 days of this. Thank you.
Ok, so after like 4 days of going through all these different issues, I figured out that several programs weren't downloading, and it was an issue with my wireless connectivity messing up the digital signatures, so if you plug in your comp to the modem and delete your temp files, it should start to work!
