My 5g Ipod is not recognized and when I run the updater it shows the message Error in Service. Please help

Not sure....Have you tried resetting the iPod and trying it again. Almost sounds like the software issue, but not totally sure. If you haven't tried resetting your iPod, try that and see what you get! If you don't know how to reset your iPod just press and hold the middle button and the menu button. Your iPod will turn off, and reboot

Assuming you have windows, try uninstalling iTunes and all of its components as by following this guide exactly: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7, then reinstall iTunes. Thanks for the info about Trojan. It may be the problem. Meanwhile I went to Admin/Owner side and did some cleaning -- including trying to reload my Favorite/Bookmarks that have always carried forth from previous levels of Windows XP and earlier.
The new computer here did not grab the Bookmarks from the previous, and yesterday I thought I had them loaded, and today went to Worker-Bee side and they are not showing.
About those add-ons... I have no idea, but think I got everything up to date yesterday. I will look at your earlier reply tomorrow or this weekend when I have more time at home to learn from it.

You can't resolve the issue, because the original iPad can only be updated to iOS 5.1.1 and no further.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Hello, just got a refurbished Macbook as the backlight on 1st gen. Pro went out. Transferred everything but it does not want to let me connect the ipod. I get this message

This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on the iPod “John Rowe’s iPod touch 2”. Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store? When I click authorize it gives me a very old email sign in.
I change it to the current with password and then I get this message.
This computer is already authorized.
Including this one, you have authorized 4 computers out of your available 5.
And this goes around in a circle.
Any advice?

I have not been able to import or burn cd's since August 2012. I have checked my registry settings and most other suggestions I have found in "support". About 1 in 10 attempts at diagnostics will recognize the cd I've inserted for the diagnostics but when I put in a CD-R it does not allow me to burn a playlist or recognize that I have inserted a blank cd. Please help, as I am PC/Mac illiterate and cannot afford to pay someone to fix what was working just fine before August.

Lightroom 5 - Update from 5.0 auf 5.7 does not work. When I try to do the online update I get a message the programm does not find an *.msi file. Any ideas ?

Hello I was not sure where to find the right temp Folder. So I deinstalled the program and installed it again.
But with the same negative effect.
There are two ways for the update:
1) Within Lightroom: search for newer Version.
2) At the Adobe Website
1) Did not work
2) worked perfectly
