When i select a text layer and invert it (black to white) the whole picture gets inverted
when i select a text message an invert it, the whole picture gets inverted - waht am I doing wrong?
Incidentally, if the text layer is the only visible layer you will need to simplify it before you can invert it.

I recently upgraded our iMac to Yosemite OS and now have a problem with Photoshop Elements 11: the move tool selects an image or text layer, but then I try to drag the selection somewhere else on the page and it snaps back to the original location, however the arrows will move it OK. Plugin crashes when I select an adjustment layer in a layer parm
If I drop my plugin on any layer and select an adjustment layer that is on top of the plugin's layer from the plugin's layer param, After Effects crashes. What gives? I'd love to paste some code here but it even happens when my plugin is doing nothing at all. I can comment out all of the render code and the plugin works UNTIL I select an adjustment layer as mentioned.
Is this a problem with After Effects or is there a way I can fix this?
Eidt: It seems native After Effects plugins also crash when I select an adjustment layer from a layer param, not just my own plugins.Exact same thing happening to me. Are you on CS6 as well?

When I select an adjustment layer I do not automatically get a mask.
Every adjustment layer tutorial that I watch suggests that when I select an adjustment layer I should get a mask with it. I must have something set incorrect because in my case I must actually choose a mask manually.
Any ideas?Cs4/Cs5 look on the adjustments panel flyout menu and check add Mask by Default.
Cs2/Cs3 look at the Layers Palette options from the flyout menu.

Why does FCP X crash when I apply a text layer?
I just bought FCP X and was very happy with everything until I tried to add a text layer to the timeline. The software tried to access the text attributes and crashed. I re-opened the software and clicked on the text layer to delete it and FCP crashed. The only solution was to delete the project, I am glad that I was not working on something important and tried to add this text layer. The next day I went to the coffee shop and suddenly it worked...I was thrilled. I thought that the external drives at my home might have been the problem since none are plugged in at the coffee shop. Did some more tests back at the house and it crashed. Today it back to the same status of crashing.
Has this happened to anyone else?
My work around for this problem is to build the title in Motion 5 and then import the quicktime with alpha to FCP event/project and then apply it to the video in the timeline of FCP. Not very efficient.
Running the software on a MacBook Pro late 2009, 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MBI am using 10.1.3 and finding it very unstable. I've taken some time to work with it a little while before I responded to your posted response. After updating projects and files, I did manage to share the master file. I am still finding random crashes that get to a point where I cannot launch FCP X until I restart the computer. It seems to crash consistently when trying to share DVD. The previous version did not have all these issues. I really wish I finished my current project before trying to update FCP X.
Other info regarding my current system: MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4Gb memory. I am running OS X 10.9.5.

Yes, I have the option "NONE" on my phone but what happens is that I have the incoming text without any sound (selected in "none") but when I send a text, still happens! that annoying sound!

I am not able to import photos into Lightroom 5.7. When I select a folder, it doesn't show a preview of the images and the import button is greyed out. ??

I just came over from Sprint 4 days ago and had my number ported over. When I send a text to another number, it shows up on the other phone as coming from email address and not my phone number. For example, if the recipient of the text has me in the contacts as "Tom", the text comes to them displaying my email address instead of "Tom".

When I receive appointments by email and accept them they go into the enourage "on my mac" ical calendar which is not synced with mobileme. How do I change where appointments are put ?
Or how can I choose where the appointment is put ?
I use the mobileme sync services so the ical calendars that are synced are those in the "[email protected]" group.
Please help !
NickActually you can't drag the appointment to ano calendar - its says "You can’t make changes to this invitation., Only the organiser can change this event"
Also if you double click on the received appointment and open the window the only calendars shown that you can select are the 'on my mac" ones, and not the sync'd ones.

To use images from the media browser, you must generate previews of the images first. It sounds like the "automatically generate previews for every new project" is turned off under Aperture >Preferences>Previews. To generate a preview for a photo to use in the media browser, right click it and select "update preview". The quality of the preview photo is determined by the settings in the Previews tab found under the Aperture>Preferences menu.

How can FMS create a text file and write data into it in the Server application folders?
Recently, I writed a programe about creating a text file and writing data into it in the server application folder. My code is as following:

But when I run it, FMS throw the error as following: File operation open failed ; TypeError: fileObj has no properties.
Can you help me ? Thanks in advance.
Supplement: The text file named test.txt doesn't exist before create the fileObj, an instance of File Class.Is MyApp the name of the application directory, or is it a child of the application directory? If myApp is the app name, just use test.txt as the path flag in the file constructor.

tried to reinstall OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.4 and every time i start with the installation i get a requested time out message, had to shut down my MacBook Pro retina. Now when i start up it automatically start internet recovery for two ouers. After the internet recovery the same problem with reinstalling OSX message

Upgraded to 5.4 when opening lightroom get a message "encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and need to quite" tried this several time but get the same error message. Says Lightroom will attempt to fix the problem the next time it launches but that is not happening. How do it fix this?
Delete the preview cache using your operating system. It is a folder whose name ends with Previews.LRDATA. Do not delete the Lightroom catalog, which ends with .LRCAT
