When I select an object it lags for about 8 seconds. It doesnt happen when I click & drag to select, only a direct selection. Using a brand new iMac, and CC straight out of the box. Any help would be much appreciated!

It was a little feature called "Right Zoom" that was causing the issue. It maximises windows fully when you click on the green button (because Apple only maximises a window to the full width needed for that window, not to the whole screen).
I trashed it, and now Illustrator is working properly.

Illustrator hanging or hesitating when I select an object

Hey guys, I've got a question and I know that I can't be alone on this.
I've been having an issue for the last few months with Illustrator CC hesitating when I select an object. It happens randomly. I could be selecting text, an image, a shape, an anchor point, anything.
Here's what happens:
I'll select an object with the direct selection tool and (without holding down the mouse button) move my cursor on to the next object.
Instead of being selected, there will be a noticeable delay, and after about half a second, the object that I just selected will follow my cursor as if I had clicked and dragged and then released.
Mostly it happens when I'm selecting multiple objects to do a move or a group or just something to a few things, but it doesn't only happen with multiple objects. Every time it does happen, I have to cmd+z, and reselect everything. This is super annoying when I've just spent a good amount of time direct selecting some anchor points and I have to go all the way back and do it over. This is absolutely destroying my workflow.
Also, I know it's not hardware related.
I have a brand spanking new 2014 MBP 15 inch retina. 16gigs ram, core i7, the whole shebang. Apple recently (yesterday) gave me this machine in replacement for one of identical specs, because I and they determined that some other things shouldn't be happening that were happening. Now, I don't believe this is the case anymore as I've just opened up illustrator for the first time and whaddya know. I was having a bunch of other problems with that other computer, and I thought this was just another symptom.
I use illustrator all day. I've been using it for years, on much less powerful machines. I have a 2011 dell at home that I prefer using now because of this problem. I'm not doing anything ram intensive, and it doesn't only happen on large illustrator documents. It happens in Mavericks and Yosemite. I'm all the way updated in everything. I'm not using a fancy mouse or wacom, and it happens with the trackpad as well.

It's a Mac retina display issue. Adobe seem to have been unable to optimise their products for retina displays yet...

Iphone 4s lagging for 15 second when deleting app .

Currently i am using iphone 4s without jailbreak . i found that when i try to delete some application , my 4s lag for 15 second and just pop out the box for 'delete' or 'cancle' . i already done some little tips to make it run smooth like close all mutlitasking app , spotlight search , and i reboot my 4s , but it still no work with me . any one can help me here ? thanks alot .

If your using the Move Tool, look in the tool options bar and verify that you have Auto-Select checked

Thanks. Beforehand, I was double clicking on the multicam clip and forced to make a marker on either the Cam A or B. I realize now that I can do it in the Event Browser. THANK YOU.
Considering I may create >20 markers per clips for around 10 different interviews, I wish there was a way to bring the Event Brower to the bottom half of the FCPX windows, to resemble the screen orientation when I'm working in an actual project (one could do this in iMovie), and this way the markers could be listed to the left without having all the other event clips around it. Is that clear? Is that possible?

The next time the problem happens, note the date and time the problem occurred, then go to Applications/Utilities/Console and copy the log starting at the time of the crash. Paste the log in a reply. Please do not use a screen shot as they can be hard to read. If there are repeated runs of the same messages, please post only one run. Be selective about what you post and don’t post huge amounts. Make sure there is no personal data visible. Information learned from Linc Davis.

If you go to Disk Utility, can you see the drive on the left hand side? If not, then the drive is dead. You'll have to buy a new drive.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Michaelrutland do you receive any specific error messages? Did Photoshop CC work previously? Also which operating system are you using? Finally I would recommend reviewing your installation log files for errors. Existence column when having selected P object in PPOME/PPOSE

When in PPOME/PPOSE and having selected an employee record (P object), a column calleed "Existence" is displayed in the "Details for Person ZZZ, XXX" area of the screen.
Does anyone know what this field is used for? i.e. what it can display

The ICON name used is defined in FM module OM_FILL_STANDARD_COLUMNS
at line 42, two calls exist

          IMPORTING

        CALL FUNCTION 'OM_GET_SPECIAL_ICON'

            icon                = st_icon_out.
inside this FM you may find the icon name under c_icon_incoming_object and c_icon_outgoing_object.
In PPOME choose a specific period by clicking the calendar button at the top of the screen. Let's say you select from 01/01/2011 and a year after.
So you should see all existent objects in PPOME for the selected period.
Now select a person which is assigned to a valid position for the all year (eg relationship valid from 01.01.2010, till end of time), You won't get any arrow.
Delimit the person's assignement to the position to get the end date of the assignement right in the middle of the selected period (eg assignement from 01.01.2010 til 31.05.2011). Now you should get the red arrow which means that the employee will be no longer assigned for the selected period.
Create a new assignement to another position, which will start right in the middle of the selected period. (eg 01.05.2011 til end of time). You should get the gree arrow which means the assignement is not yet valid, but will become in the selected period.
Except if I'm wrong, there is no configuration for it, it should work like this.

Selecting Multiple objects in Pages for ipad

On regular pages, I can select multiple objects (text boxes, etc) by holding shift then clicking on it. Is there a way to do that in Pages for IPAD?

With one finger select an object and hold with another finger select the other objects one by one.

My ipod works fine with some headphones but when I put others in it plays for about 20 seconds than fades and shuts off?

I can use one of my skullcandys but when i try to use the other pair it works for about 20 or so seconds before it will fade away

Make sure the plug is pressed in all the way. The fit seems to be different for different brands, so with some headphones, it takes more pressure to insert the plug completely (including Apple's recent EarPods). If the plug is not completely inserted, you may hear something, but the shuffle does not "see" the headphone so stops playing after a short period.

Creative cloud installed but when clicked on the hourglass comes up for a second and disapears and program won't load

The Control Panel (top bar) no longer shows the location or size of an object when I select an object using the black arrow.

I'm only able to see/adjust the location or size of the object by opening the Transform panel.

It may be time for the list (you may skip 5) in this case).
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by issues with opening a file from external media, see below. You may have tried/done some of them already; 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

External media: It is always recommended here to open/save from/to own hard disk, and to copy from/to networks and removable media. You may be lucky (for a while), but the chances of file corruption and other unpleasantnesses are immensely greater when you use anything but the harddisk, and it is better to be safe than sorry.
