When i select to rent a movie it keeps telling me to update my account on the computer HELP?

I keep being told to update my account in itunes store when i try to rent a movie through appletv, even though i have credit etc ugh

Make sure the credit card address is exactly as it appears on the card, it may just be worth entering it again.
This happened to my son 2 nights ago, his information was correct, it corrected itself after a few hours.

I'm not convinced that starting it before it was downloaded has anything to do with it, you should be able to do that. I'd try restarting the computer and if that doesn't help, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History.

For the last 2days when I attempt to rent a movie And my Apple TV attempts to access the iTunes Store I get a message can't connect to server, try again later. I can connect to Netflix, Hulu and all other services. Any help appreciated.

I have a similar problem. After a recent update I cannot access the iTunes Store to resubscribe to Hulu. "Cannot access iTunes Store at this time." Dunno what to do.

Thanks for the reply, have checked and that seems to be the problem, I have plugged in my ipad and the missing app has appeared.

I upgraded to yosemite and iOS 8 in order to record with quicktime. But when I select Record a new movies I immediately get an Operation Could not be completed error.

When I choose record audio or screenshots, I get a little further, but as soon as I select my ipad as the source I get the same error message.

You don't need to be a developer for this to work. I get the same error. Just one more thing on the list that make me upset more and more with Apple. Things just don't work out of the box like they used to.
This new feature was to be included with iOS 8 and Yosemite.

On your mac/Win PC can you log into the iTunes Store with your Apple ID and password??
Can you download one of the free songs/books/ videos (look under Free on iTunes)?

I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????

I rented a movie via Itunes on my PC but half-way through the download recieved a "An unknown error has occured (-50)" notification. This is not my first rental, and I have verified my network and all connections to be good. Will I still be charged?

Has the movie file been corrupted? Can I recover the rental even though the time has elapsed? Will I be charged?

Did you figure this out? I haven't rented a movie in this new iTunes yet and saw one tonight I wanted to rent. Same fricken thing is happening to me. I hate this new iTunes, and I really hate that there are problems like this....why the heck do they have to fix something that isn't broken and break it? This just really stinks.
