When I send a picture to a group of people, it gets smaller. Why is this?
If I text a picture or video to a group of people, it shrinks to thumbnail size. But if I send it to only one person, it is a normal size. My husband who has the same phone , model and software update does not have this problem at all. What is the deal?
I wish that was the solution, it's a simple one, but that's not it. It's only on videos (my mistake) and after you click to expand and watch the video, it is a small thumbnail size. Very hard to see.

When I send a message in a group with non-iPhone users it appears as "New Multimedia Message." One of my friends in the group also has an iPhone and his doesn't appear this way, how do I change my settings so it appears as a normal text message and not an mms?

When I send a picture via email, my iPhone 4 pulls in unwanted emails!
When I send a picture from the iPhone 4 to an email recipient, the phone then draws in any new mail - which I don't want, as I want it to go to my laptop or desktop. My old iPhone 3G never did this and if I was away from home, I could just open Mail and pull in new mail when I pleased.
I assume this can't be uncommon, though I've searched high and low for an answer - to no avail!Thanks for the reply, good try, I thought of that myself and made sure of that this morning, but that is already all done, and as it happens, the contacts are exactly the same as in our other phone (3GS) which works perfectly, but the iphone 4 won't dial ANY local number, instead it tries to send an email. EVERY TIME. most frustrating. I am really trying to work out if there is a setting somewhere (like the area code etc) or if this is a warranty issue.

I just got the new Iphone 5 and when I send a message in a group text it keeps sending it as an email and as my phone number. The people in the group text are complaining that it is creating a new group message everytime I text. How do I fix this?

How do I send pictures from iphoto to a group via email instead of to just one individual? I can't type in more than one name or send the pictures to a group.
I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage. Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever. After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed. They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself. After that, the pics go over imessage. My own Iphone didn't have the problem. We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

Green messages are SMS messages sent to non-iOS devices or iOS devices that do not have iMessage enabled. They go through your carrier and count towards your SMS limit, if any.
Blue messages are messages sent to other iOS devices (Iphones, iPods, Ipads) and Macs through Apple servers and are therefore not SMS charged by the carrier. -

Are you using the "Mail" app and not the "iMessage" application?
iMessage as sberman stated is a mac only application. Mail however will send an email and not just a message. Your iPad may have your email attached as your iMessage name, so be careful that you don't get the two applications confused because one is universal and one is not.

Why? Because something is wrong.
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -

Use different Apple IDs on both phones under Settings > Messages, Settings > Facetime, and Settings > iCloud. The only place you should use the same Apple ID, if at all, is under Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
