I am trying to copy photos from a recent vacation to my iPad2. The process was straightforward using iTunes until recently. Now I am getting a message warning me that if I sync photos from the folder on my PC to iTunes and my iPad, photos already on the iPad (except ones taken by the iPad) will be removed. It is really a very simple fix. Place ALL of the photos that you want to sync to the iPad into one photos folder and sync that folder to the iPad. In your case, place the next set of photos that you want to sync, into the folder with the first set of photos that you already synced to the iPad. You can only sync from one main photos folder and if you choose another folder that does not include the photos that you previously synced, those photos will be erased from the iPad - as you have now discovered.
You can sync one level of sub folders with the main photos folder. You can have as many sub folders as you want (as long as you have the storage space available on the iPad) but you can only sync from one main photos folder. After you place all of the photos into the one main folder, when you go to the Sync Photos From drop down menu in iTunes, select that main photos folder and all of the sub folders that you placed in there will appear and you can select each sub folder to sync as well.

This is may be because one of your mail accounts is using a different folder for it's 'Sent' bucket. The following article goes into further detail, and also explains how to change the bucket that each account uses.

You need to reconfigure your phone for use with your Apple ID. I suggest you restore yours as new then reconfigure it with your information and Apple ID. Be sure to disable Find My Phone, if it's enabled, before proceeding.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

I live in ireland and I was just wondering when does yosemite come out here? I was watching the apple keynote just there and it said it was coming out today but I can't find it on the app store. Can someone please help me?

At 2:36 pm CDT it is showing up on the Apple page as "Upgrade Now" yet when you click on that... it opens up your App Store and gives the message that the program is not available in the US store. Not sure why, but that's what I'm getting here! :-) Patience is a virtue... but often difficult with new Mac stuff. Lol.

You are only as young as you feel......
This is an example of how you can select the exact content that you want to sync to your device. You do not have to sync the entire iTunes library. You can pick and choose the music, apps, books and so on that you want to sync. This is using music as an example.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Music Tab on the right.
Click on only the albums or playlists that you want to sync.
Click on the Sync Music Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
You can do this with apps, books, movies .... Whatever .... You have the freedom to sync whatever you want.

so I have called HP tech support 12 times over the last 6 weeks and still my HP Officejet 4620 loses connection overnight. Of course becasue it was a birthday present I spent more time than I normally would have on this issue. While the tech are very polite they have not fixed my problem and now it is too late to return printer to store. This is a lot of money wasted and I think they need to admit this is a bug in this printer and resolve the problem!!!!!

I am just wondering about my brand new Iphone display. Normally, when you firstly take it out from tha box, you would remove these plastic films used to protect the front/back of th iphone.
This is very common.
My question is that I have notice that the screen seems to be protected by an extra film. Jut like the one you apply aftermarket to protect the screen. The only difference is that this si very well set. YOu can fell it if you try to remove with your nails but it does not come out.
Now, am I the only one noticed this? If Apple put a film to protect the screen, I should not remove it, should not I?

     I can, with 99.99% certainty, tell you that you are absolutely right in not wanting to download or install this "Helper," whatever it is (but we can be equally certain it would not "help" anything).
     I cannot comment as to Oglethorpe's recommendation of 'adwaremedic'; I am unfamiliar with it. His links to the Apple discussion and support pages warrant your time and attention.
     It might be really simple -- Trying looking in your Downloads folder, trash anything that you don't know with certainty is something you want to keep, and then Secure Empty your Trash. Then remove the AdBlock extension, LastPass, and Web of Trust extensions to Safari and re-boot. If the issue goes away, still be extraordinarily careful in the future.
     Unfortunately, it's probably not going to be that simple to get rid of, in which case I'd then try the line by line editing in HT203987.
     I have no further suggestions (other than a complete wipe and re-install...but that's a pain because trying to restore from Time Machine would simply ... restore the Mal).
   For the rest of us, please post when you find a solution.

Force eject a stuck cd/dvd
First try the normal methods to remove the disc. Drag its icon to the Trash can in the Dock or select 'Eject' from the File menu.
If you are running a virtual machine, e.g. VMFusion, ensure that the CD is disconnected from the virtual machine. This will sometimes allow the CD to now show up in Mac OS X.
Shut down the computer and start up whilst holding down the mouse button. This may take some time, but keep your finger on the mouse button right up until the disc comes out or the log-in screen has appeared.
If you have Toast Titanium installed on your computer, choose EJECT DISC from the menubar.
Sometimes you can successfully use the eject disc button in iTunes even if the disc is not visible to the Finder
Open Disc utility and choose the disc you wish to eject in the left-hand pane, then click on the Eject button.
Some Macintoshes have a paperclip hole that you can insert a straightened paperclip into, manually triggering the eject mechanism.
Open Terminal and type "drutil tray eject" to eject the disc/tray, and "drutil tray close" to close the tray.
If your computer has an eject button on the keyboard, restart the computer holding down the Option key. When the startup disk selection screen appears, let go of the option key and press the keyboard's eject button.
