When i send an email there is no past history shown
When i reply to an email i get no past history attached to the email as if i am starting again....any help?
Make sure your mail application has sent folder preferences set.

When I send an email via MACMAIL with a photo from snow leopard to an email of a lion user using At & T , the photo shows up in the Lion user email sideways. I have Thunderbird version 24.3.0 downloaded to my Windows 7 computer.
When I send an email in Thunderbird it looks fine and when the recipient receives it, it looks fine on the screen, but when she tries to print it, the font is unreadably small. This happens on every email I send her, but not other people's emails she receives. It has happened on some of the emails I receive back from her that contain the information I sent her.
Is there a setting I need to fix or something I can do on my end to address this so this doesn't happen. She is receiving email through AOL online. When I send an email with Mail, I often confuse the account which I'm using. The result is that I send a message with the wrong account! Is there a way to avoid this (for example a reminder before the email is sent)?
Hi, thanks for the answer, I did that already. Unfortunatly this doesn't help me at all, as I often forget to check the menu. For me composing the message is writing the text, the subject, the person to who is addressed and than press "send".
I often forget to check the "from", and this is a problem because the software select itself one of the accounts.
Isn't there a way at least to put as a default a blank field instead of one of the accounts? or an account which doesn't work so if I forget to specify the "from" I will be rnotofied that the message can't be sent.
I guess this could be a rather common problem for many people!

In my list of contacts I have entered a wrong address. I was able to erase it from that list BUT when I send an email it still appears on the list there and I cannt erase it. What shall I do ?

I use a gmail account for my mail. When I send an email I sometimes get multiple duplicates (up to 10-12) of the same sent message saved in my sent file. help
Did you check your user name and password in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your email account, tap SMTP, then tap the primary server name. Make sure the settings there are correct.

When i send an email with greek characters in the body, many recipients (not all) cannot read it.
At the same time when i use the internet mail it can be read successfully by the recipient.
I have already checked the encoding settings in the Fonts in order to be "unicode (UTF-8)".
What else can i check?

The recipient, if they also use thunderbird may need to have a language pack to read the email: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/language-tools/]
You may also need to have them check their interpreter to make sure the email is being received in the same format it is being sent. -
How do I access the subject line when I send an email?
This never used to be a problem until recent "upgrades" but I can't put a subject for an email in the subject line even though I am constantly prompted to do so when I send an email. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust preferences anymore either.
There is a way to remove the Subject line!!
follow these steps:
go to Settings > Messages > uncheck "Show Subject Field "

When I send an email with an attachment larger than 1 MB from iMail, the email gets suck in the sent folder. This happens no matter if I am using wireless or using an ethernet connection.
Many email programs, including Mail, will send data up to a certain size.
The good new - there are some solutions. You can compress the file and make the email much faster to send; you can download a free application like Compress, which also allows you to uncompress. Or, you can send your email via your webmail connection (your ISP, like ATT); if you manage your email through your desktop computer, the email should be sent just fine.
Apple Mail is designed for smaller documents, well under 1mb. -

Note: It doesn't show up when I send an email to myself. My daughter said that it shows up on the right side of screen in her G-mail account...apparently an area where she is used to seeing advertisements?!This is Redvax1 again....I found the answer.
In the Apple Preferences under "Security" - There is a check box for "Location Services". I had it turned on.
It turns out that G-Mail will pick this up and show your current address in a sidebar of the recipients email.
I turned it off, and it appears to have solved the mystery.

I do not have any thing in the trash. I don't even know if I have a trash folder.
#1.I wanted to know if I could have somehow deleted the trash folder ? in my email site?

When I send an email from one of my accounts, it shows up as sent from another account. Does anyone know how to correct this?
As Ernie said, you need to create an SMTP server for each gmail account with the correct username and password. Be sure the correct server for each account is listed in the SMTP box and check the box to use only that server for that account.
Gmail's default behavior when sending from one account through another account's outgoing server is to change the address to the server which is used. Same goes if I send a message from my ATT/Yahoo account and use gmail's server to send through. It will change the ATT address to the gmail address.
There is an option in gmail's settings under the Account's tab under Send Mail As. You can add different gmail or other accounts such as Yahoo to this and choose how the gmail server handles it. You can set it to send as the sending account and not change the address. I've used this many times for my ATT account for sending through gmail when ATT accounts were having problems.
You can add the different accounts to each gmail account you have. -

There seems to be a few bugs with iCloud Mail at times, so send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
