Photos & videos I email thru IPOD TOUCH 5 are received sideways by recipients???
Called and talked to Apple today, and they did not have a solution to the sideways and upside down videos. But I now realize that you need to take Videos with the bottom (where you plug wire into) to the right side when video taking and the videos go into the computer just fine after doing so!! Trial and error I call it. but thanks for your help!!!!

How to get photos/videos on iPod Touch after full reset?
OK guys, I'm ready to tear my hair out over this one. Long story slightly shorter:
1) Upgraded my 4th gen Touch to iOS6 and liked it, until I realized all of my music was gone.
2) I wiped the device and tried to restore it from iCloud, which was a complete disaster--didn't work at all.
3) Spent the last three days reloading all of my apps and getting everyhing *just right* over the air, without actually connecting to iTunes on my computer.
4) Now when I try to connect, the only options are a) set it up as a new device, presumably erasing all of my work over the past few days or b) trying to restore from the last backup, which was months ago (since I rely on iCloud for everything) and which I already know doesn't work anyway.
Is there anything I can do to get my iPod Touch connected enough NOT to sync, but to transfer photos and some videos to the device from iTunes??
I hope that this makes sense and that someone can help me! I've wasted way, way too much time on this recently and I'm almost done getting things back the way they were, but want my photos and a couple of short videos back on my iPod Touch.
PS I have both a Windows 7 laptop and a Macbook Air, and can use either and/or both as part of the process if that makes a difference. The Windows PC is the primary; I only use the Air as a client machine with iTunes Match/Dropbox/iCloud.Thank you so much!!! I couldn't find anything in the knowledgebase, so this is a *HUGE* help.
Just for clarification though, I wasn't ever able to restore from backup--is the fact that I connected my Touch to my PC in recovery mode the reason why my computer doesn't "realize" that the Touch has already been set up? That was the only way to get the device usable again after the failed iCloud restore attempts. I hadn't actially synced with the computer since last October though I had been able to connect to transfer photos, etc. more recently than that.
I guess the good news is that I'm totally "lean and mean" now, and ready for my new 5th gen Touch in a few weeks (hurry up with that release date Apple!). I have just 53 apps now, all on one page, instead of the roughly 300 I had before. I'm a freelance tech writer/reviewer, and I have a bad habit of letting all the apps I've reviewed sit on my device after the articles are written, even if I'm not using them. My 4th gen Touch is much faster now. -
Can't sync photo/video on iPod touch
Hello everyone!
As title said... I can't sync my photos and videos (taken with the iPod) on my iPod touch 4th gen with my iTunes 10.4.0.80...
I went on the photos tab into the iPod device into iTunes, I clicked on sync photos from : custom folders named iPod... choosen options are : All the folders and Include the videos...
When I'm done, I do apply and the the syncing is begining...
When it is almost finish, I got an error message

I tried to rename the file : vsjitdebugger.exe to see if it helps (found that by googling), it stops the error popup but iTunes was still crashing at the same place...
I'm lost...
Can someone help please?I would try uninstalling and reinstalling Visual Studio.

ITunes fails when trying to convert videos for iPod Touch
I have loaded videos taken from digital cameras (Fuji and Canon) into iTunes (latest version) and I can view them using the QuickTime reader (also latest version). Before syncing them to my iPod 4th gen, I go to advanced options and click on Convert for iPod or Iphone. After 1 or 2 seconds, iTunes craps out with what looks a protection exception. (iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for...)
When I click to find out more details, the Error signatures says Appname iTunes.exe, AppVer: 10.1.0.54 Mod Name: coreaudiotoolbox.dll ModVer: 7.9.4.0 Offset: 000b2f84.
I rebooted with same result. The same problem occured many times, with iPod connected or not and using different videos. I tried to download the test video from the Apple site, but nothing happens when trying to download.
I am on Windows XP, SP3, fully patched.

I removed all Apple software using Add/remove software in Control Panel.
Rebooted.
Used Advanced System Care (free edition) to scan and fix the registry. There were over 200 problems related to iTunes or QuickTime in the registry.
Downloaded a fresh copy of Itunes.
Re-installed.
I can now convert videos to Ipod.

Transfered my music & video library from my laptop to my PC. Syncing my ipod classic and my ipad without incident to the PC. But when I try to sync my ipod touch, the only thing that will sync is music that I have purchased on that PC. Any ideas?
where on my computer am I suppose to make the individual picture files and have them to upload on my ipod touch.... I do have a photo library on my computer, but in the photo tab in itunes for the ipod touch and there is nothing checked for syncing, cause when I do check it it always says its going to replace everything i have in my photo library on my ipod touch..... 1) Open your system control panel (Start->Control Panels->System).
2) Select the "Advanced" tab.
3) Click the "Startup and Recover" section's "Settings" button
4) Verify that under "System Failure" the "Automatically restart" checkbox is not checked.
Now try to provoke another crash.
With those settings in place, does a blue screen appear before the PC reboots?
If so, what numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x\[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)
If the blue screen mentions a specific file (for example, “ati3duag.dll”), let us know what that is called too. (Exact spelling, please.)

Try my little "trick" (must be running iOS 4.3 or better)
Download the app "Download Manager Lite" (FREE) or "Download Manager" Full ($ 1.99 USD)
After downloading, transfer it to iTunes
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
After transferring, Go to your iDevice (on itunes), to the apps page, scroll down, you can add/save videos and/or files.
Click on "Add", find the folder of which your movies are being downloaded. Its much faster than syncing from itunes.
You can do the wi-fi transfer, the best part is that you don't have to be connected to the same wi-fi.
You will get 2 different URLs you need to type on your computer. Type the Web URL not the ftp URL. After that, you should have access to the app, without the need of itunes.
Click on Add, find the folder of where your movies are stored, faster than syncing with iTunes.

Later, I lost the iPod.
I want to retrieve as much of the data, especially photos, as possible ftom the backup.
I do not have another iPod to use the restore function.
Is there any other way to retrieve the photos or any other data from the backup?You could restore an iPad or iPhone from the backup.

What photos?
Photos synced from computer to ipod are one way only - computer to ipod. As they came from your computer in the first place, they should still be there.
Pics taken with ipod are imported as with any digital camera.

Instructions say to "Click Apply." There is no "Apply."
I check "Sync Photos From" and select the album I want to sync.
I click on "Sync Photos From" and get the message:
"iTunes will no longer sync photos to the iPod “iPod touch”. Would you like iTunes to remove photos previously copied to your iPod?"

To turn off auto sync - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices - check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPod, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Click OK and then quit iTunes.
Connect your iDevice to your PC.
Launch iTunes,
Click on the device name on the left side of the iTunes Window.
Click on the Photos Tab in the iTunes window on the right.
Untick all of the photos or albums that you want to remove.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
