when I set black point using windows, the image switches between blank and full image, why?
I set black point with alt button down while I move sllider. When black
dots show, I stop and back off a bit. That's the normal result. Normally a
white screen appears until I release the alt key. In my case, sometimes the
screen goes from white to full image. It's not all the time. I view my
power and ram use as I work and it doesn't spike when this happens. It's
as if the alt key command is not holding. I've used both alt keys with
same results.

Also, this might be a glitch with using automatic private browsing mode. Some settings changes might not be saved in that mode.
If all else fails, do you want to try a manual hack?
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This should launch a new window (Windows Explorer window) showing your current settings files.
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
* (menu bar) File > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then open '''prefs.js''' in a text editor by right-clicking it and choosing Edit or Open With. (Double-clicking leads to Windows attempting to execute it, so I do not recommend that.)
Paste this at the end of the file on its own line:
user_pref("browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled", false);
Then save the file and close your editor.
Start Firefox back up again. Did the manual change work? -
Set Black Point to 0 by default in Aperture 2.x?

(First post - have lurked a little on here for a while, but have not had a question of my own until now)
Has anyone found a way to set the Black Point slider on the Exposure brick (or any other slider for that matter) to zero as a default? Otherwise, with the Exposure control is off a Black Point of 3 is applied, which clips my images.
(by a happy miracle, my camera gets the black point right most of the time, provided I set it right)
So far I've had to create an image with my preferred 'flat' settings to Lift & Stamp across to new imports, or create a preset for the Exposure brick that then has to be manually applied, and both of these methods seem rather clunky for a Pro app. I'm not averse to hacking text files, if that is what it takes...

What exactly are you trying to do?
Turn off Bluetooth?
Swipe up from the bottom of your screen and tap the bluetooth icon (White is on, Back is off)
or
Settings > Bluetooth > Bluetooth - Off -
When I set up an App Tab the original tab and the App Tab are both there when Firefox opens next time. I have tried saving the current tabs, etc but that doesn't help.
I had this problem after I installed an update for Java. Firefox also stopped remembering my open tabs from last time. I disabled all of the Java plug-ins, restarted, and it's worked great ever since. Haven't missed Java yet either.

When I upgraded my MacBook to Lion the trackpad switched and now up is down and down is up. I tried to fix it in setting, track pad but I do not see an option. Is it somewhere else in settings?

When listening to Fireworks by Katie Perry the base notes Sound raspy and distorted even though th eq is set to flat. I have tried 2 studio monitor headphones when listening and the raspy sound appears with both. The distorted sound from the downloaded song from itunes doesn't show up when listening to it on the computer. No other songs that have been downloaded from CDs onto my ipod classic seem to have this problem. Has anyone else run across this and how did you fix it?

Do I need to reset the router when switching between Win and Mac?
I just set up my new Mac Pro with OSX 1.5.2 and Win XP using Bootcamp and it all works fine, but I have one question about connecting to the internet.
I have a Belkin pre-N wireless router. I am connected using an ethernet cable.
When I switch between OSX and Windows by restarting the computer, is it necessary to restart the router while the computer is off so that when it comes back on it can locate its proper connection?
When I was working on my old PC and my new Mac Pro, I noticed that if I just took the ethernet cable from the Mac or PC and connected it to the other machine, it couldn't find the internet unless I turned off the router, waited a moment and turned it back on again, connected to the other machine and then started the machine.
As the two OSs are now in the same machine, will this continue to happen or can I simply switch between operating systems without having to re-initialize the router and connect it before turning on the computer again?
I haven't tried it yet because I am afraid to screw things up, so I am continuing to turn off, restart the router, re-connect and turn the computer on again. That work perfectly but it is tedious.
Can anyone please advise on whether this is necessary or not?

You should be able to leave the router on and switch between the two OSes. Try it. Worst thing that can happen is that you would need to restart the router.

My phone started acting up and I noticed my text messages were not being sent. So I turned my iphone off. My iphone 4s turned off properly but when I went to put it back the apple icon came on and then an image I have never seen before of a UBS pointiing towards the word itunes in a circle. And the phone no longer goes beyond this message. I try to turn it off and on again and same message over and over. If I hit the any button on the phone nothing happens. Does anyone know what this means or seen this itunes messaging ? meltdown? Please help.

Thank you so much for your response. I had these photos backed up on iCloud but, had I not, its good to have an alternate solution as the one you suggested. Actually, I went to the Apple store today and yes, you are absolutely correct Restoring in iTunes will result in permanent loss of photos unless backed up somewhere such as iCloud or other solution. Well, what they did was restore the phone in itunes ( I did not have iTunes downloaded to my computer which is why it did not work when I went to do it myself, I needed to go to the iTunes site and go to the download iTunes button because my windows based HP laptop does not come with itunes already downloaded). This retoration process took a while and I was forced to upgrade to the latest 7.1 iOS software which I was not too happy about -sometimes you like the way things work now :-) Anyhow, they said this restoration request happens as a result of a software update (which I was NOT in progress of an update or doing an update) or sometimes when you remove the power cable too quickly from the iphone (which I do not recall doing this either but...). Since I had backed up on iCloud all of the photos were downloaded back on my iphone 4s. Best of all was that my phone was back up and runnning and there was NO CHARGE at the apple store for this service of restoring my phone. Well, I just wanted to share the results and I appreciate all the responses and support I received. Thank you kindly. -

I am trying to work out when the CTI ports between CUCM and UCCX get created.
Do they get created during the post installtion wizzard when you selectthe number of HR licenses or do you need to manually create the CTI ports after the post installation wizzard.

RegardsIn new versions (since 4.x) UCCX creates the CTI route points on Call Manager when a trigger is added on UCCX side.
When you add a Call Control Group on UCCX side, that process creates all the CTI ports in CUCM automatically or updates the existing ones if you change settings for the call control group. -
When my macbook is fully charged, does the charger switch the power supply off, or does it continue to 'charge'?

You can try to decrease the value of the pref <b>network.http.max-connections</b> from 255 to a more modest setting like 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.

Problem with replies in Maverick's mail. Originating emails send fine. When replying to an email (various addresses) the reply is hung up and can not be sent. Option becomes put in draft, delete, etc. Any suggestions would be helpful. Mid 2013 iMac.
I don't know how rare this is. I went a week or so without a problem, and now it's starting to recur. Also, in some instances, an email will look unsent (remain in the outbox on the Treo), but it has been sent, and recipients are replying while I'm trying to figure out what is going on. Further, it will send the same email over and over during this madness.
This is a show stopper. If there isn't a software fix soon, I may chuck this phone in the garbage.

UPDATE: The problem comes and goes. The next day, no changes to the treo, everything workeds. Now i'm suspecting the sprint server, and how it/the phone responds from failing to send while roaming. I've since turned off roaming, and haven't had a problem for several days.
