When I share a garageband file to itunes the volume is way too soft.
I don't know what I did. Suddenly everything I export to iTunes comes out way too soft compared to files I have exported before. My master volume seems to be set right, it plays loud enough in GB, my export settings are set to Auto Normalize, compression is on, my volume in iTunes is turned up - I'm at a loss here. Please help!

Problems Moving Garageband file into iTunes
Hi everyone,
It's been awhile since I've used Garageband. I know in the past, there was a simple way to move a Garageband file into iTunes. Now I'm having all kinds of problems.
What I've done is Click & Drag my GB file into my iPod. The little green plus sign showed up, the computer did it's processing, and I see where the storage space on the iPod decreased, meaning a file was loaded.
But the file does now show up ANYWHERE inside my iPod. Nowhere.
I Clicked & Dragged my GB file into iTunes instead. Again, green plus sign and processing took place, and again nothing shows up menus.
Anybody know what's going on?
thanks!The Share menu is in GarageBand along the top where the menu items are. You can export to iTunes or your hard disk or to CD and you can export at full aiff quality or compressed using mp3 or aac.
You have to open the Project you want to export. You can not do it from Finder.
Don't have an answer about the iPod. Maybe try that forum. -
I receive the follwing error message when trying to open my ipod touch/itunes "the itunes libary.itlfile is lockedon a lockdisk or you do not have write permission on this file. How do I resolve this problem?
Repair iTunes Security Permissions
Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Securitytab and click Advanced. Use the Change Permissions... button grant to your account (or the Users group) and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to Replace permissions entries... which will repair permissions throughout the library. When complete switch to the General tab, click in the Read-only check box to clear it, then click Apply.
If you don't have the option to change the permissions then use the Owner tab and Edit... button to take ownership from an account with administrator privileges. Tick the option to Replace owner on subcontainers and objects.
Repeat with the media folder if it isn't stored inside the main iTunes folder.
If you've brought over the library from another computer you may also want to remove any "mystery" identities (S<string of dashes & digts>) that have come over from the old computer...

Is anyone else getting this error message, "Entitlements are not valid", when trying to sync .ipa file from iTunes to iPad?
The issue I'm having is getting the ipa file that was built by the 'Adobe Flash Packager for Iphone' installed into my iPad.
So, I have a swf file that works and was able to publish it into the Android Market. I then compiled and build the same flash project with the Packager for Iphone into an .ipa file. But when I try and install this .ipa file into my iPad to do my testings, i'm getting the error message.
I would like to test my ipa file in my iPad device before submitting it to the Apple Store.
Any help would be appreciated. thank you.Developing for iphone can be amazingly complicated and frustrating. (even before you start coding). The process of having to create a Certificate, to approving the Certificate, to Assigning the deviceIDs to the certificate, to creating the AppIDs, to creating the provisioning profiles and then creating the .p12 file... is just too tedious.
I solved the problem of the "Entitlements are not valid". The AppID i had set in the iPhone Developer Portal did not match that of the AppID i had set in the Adobe Flash CS5 -> Publish Settings. (ie. com.yourdomainname.yourappname). After I re-entered my AppID and compile, i was able to sync the .ipa file into my ipad.
I wish the error message had been a little more descriptive. Could have saved me a whole day.
I hope this helps others. But my guess is, if you don't set the 40 character device ID correctly, or the email in the signingcertificate correctly, you'll get this same generic error message. -

When I select my iPod touch in iTunes the buttons are inactive when I try to sort by name, artist etc. Also about half of the links under 'file' etc are not active.
Further to my question, when I plug in and select my iPad 2 I don't have the same problem. I have restored the settings on my iPod Touch and updated both iTunes and iPod Touch software and restarted my iPod touch. Nothing has made any difference.

Il-Logic-al: When I share to iTunes, the volume drops.
I've been recording tracks in Logic Pro X, and when I play them it's nice and loud. But when I share I share to iTunes, the volume is very low, about half the volume of a typical iTunes song. How can I keep the volume up?

This includes the master volume. It is fine in GB, but in itunes I need to increase the volume slider to max to bring it up to what I was hearing in GB. DId you try a comparioson when exporting the same song with and without "Auto Normaize".
Technically there is the possibility that "Auto Normilize" will reduce the overall level of your final mix. If there is a short spike above 0dB that you don't hear as an audible pop and GarageBand brings down the overall level to that that spike to 0dBFS, and by doing so, lowering that level of your mix by that amount.

When I reopen a keynote file, elements on the slides have moved
Would appreciate any ideas on this. I line everything up precisely on my Keynote deck, then when I reopen the file the next day, the elements are no longer in alignment, so I have to keep reformatting. Since I'm preparing decks for presentations, I'd love them to be OK right away, and not have to worry that I always have to go back and reformat every time it gets opened. Thanks in advance!

When I connect my iphone and open itunes the iphone icon shows up but when I click it nothing happens and the icon disappears. I have uninstalled and re-installed itunes. Why am I getting an error when I place two OAM files one after the other in different pages?
Why am I getting an error when I place two OAM files one after the other in different pages? They do not load or play correctly. They are both configured to play automatically with a .125 second delay and both have a white rectangle "poster" over for a hidden effect.
Thanks for the idea, Scott! I initially tried your idea, but my OAM files were still not loading correctly. I tried other combinations of OAM files, and it seems to work fine.
Back to my original OAM files: I made sure that my elements in my Edge Animate project had different names. I originally copied parts of some elements from one to another, and I think it was confusing to DPS to read it.
