When I try to access certain listings on eBay I get the following message:

eBay support told me it is because they think I am in France or because I am using a French ISP. I am in London and am using the British ISP, Bethere. What can I do to convince them that I am in England?
The URL quoted is just an example. It happens frequently with other listings.This is what I get:

It can't be a problem with my ISP or my IP address since it only happens with Firefox. When I try out the same listings with other browsers it doesn't happen. eBay said Firefox must be making it seem as though I am in France. Goodness knows how or why?? -
In the past week Facebook has stopped working correctly and it is only happening with Firefox. Can't comment. click like. update status edit settings, send messages or chat.

NONE of the web pages load properly. If I hit "Ctrl + F5" it will fix THAT PAGE ONLY. I have to do this to EVERY SINGLE page I try to load. This ONLY happens with FIREFOX. Internet Explorer works fine. PLEASE HELP! Thanks.
To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step. -
It happens as I surf - horizontal black and white lines particularly when I scroll down and only goes if I can go to a new page or go back a page. It is driving me crazy and only happens with firefox. I have disabled all plug ins but it still happens.
Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en) Presto/2.6.30 Version/10.60I had this problem as well. I found that somehow the firefox.exe file had been set to run in compatibility mode for Windows 95.
To check this on your system Browse to the firefox folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) and right click on the file "firefox.exe".
Select "Properties" and then the "Compatibility" tab. Make sure the option "Run this program in compatibility mode for" is UNCHECKED.
Then try running Firefox as normal. Worked for me.

Everyone else can see the new site.. but when I punch the website address into Firefox... I am redirected to the odd site.
Now I have flushed the DNS (ipconfig /flushDNS) and I have cleared the cache, cookies and everything I can possibly clean I have...but it still redirects.
So there is something I am not doing above all that, that I need to do... any ideas what it is.
I have also gone into FireFox config and changed the network.dnsCacheExpiration as the preference name to 0

One way to change this is at the Windows level (in the TCP/IP properties dialog), and another is in your router. Something more temporary would be to change your IE connection settings (I think it's under LAN Settings). However, the details are beyond what I can look up at the moment.

Videos from the internet play with lag. Pages scroll with lag. Pointer lags only on browser. There are no pending downloads in my computer. Saw a similar problem but it is not applicable to this issue. I have deleted cookies and other stuff and the problem persists. Already using Chrome but Fire Fox ability to download YouTube videos is only reason I still keep it. Loyal to Fire Fox for many years but this is becoming a mayor issue.

I had installed DivX and it includes DivX Web player but, when i remove it, the problem happend. When I click on a video, the bar which contains play, stop... buttons is there. But when the video nearly play, it disapears. The problem just happen with Firefox and Chrome, but it doesn't mean with IE. After replacing my burnt out original hard drive in my iMac 24 inch desk top computer with 1 TB hard drive I've had repeated problems with Safari hanging/not responding. This has frozen my computer and required me to unplug the power cord and restart. It doesn't happen with FireFox. In addition, while trying to restore from Carbonite I've had it hang five or six times never completing the restore. When the technician replaced the hard drive he installed OC 10.8.2. When restoring I get repeated messages that there isn't enough room on my startup disk to continue the restore. This obviously isn't the case because I have far more storage space with a 1 TB hard drive. Any ideas what is going on and how I can prevent these two problems from continuing? Thanks.
You've got anĀ incompatible Logitech driver and java was incompletely uninstalled.
You may have a problem with the Wacom driver.
I don't know if fixing those things will help.
There also a few window server errors, but I don't know if they are causal.
If you can note the time of the hangs, that might help narrow it down in the logs.
