I have seen this before, a long time ago (several years), and I cannot
remember how/if we resolved it.
If this is an impotant issue to you, I suggest that you open a case with
BEA support.

I see other posts getting replies.
This is a rather important issue, I have seen another post with a similar problem.
While not being a show-stopper it certainly raises concerns.
The application works ok until the application exits (in both development and
executable form)
Apparently this did not happen with Tux 7.1
It does with 8, I do not have 7.1 so I have no workaround.

When I try to start Firefox I receive this message: "Exc in ev handl: TypeError: this oRoot.enable is not a function" Once I close the error message Firefox starts up immediately.
This issue can be caused by the McAfee Site Advisor extension

When I open Itune, I have this message from windows: l'exception instruction privilégiée (0xc0000096) s'est produite dans l'application à l'emplacement 0x02fb21d4. After I close the message, Itune close.
I think we might try the following document with that one, madubc:
iTunes 10.2 for Windows: Quits unexpectedly with "Unknown software exception (0xc0000409)" alert
(The theory with that procedure with installing Safari 5.0.5 is that it updates your Apple Application Support. Apple Application Support contains single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs (such as iTunes, QuickTime and Safari) so the effect of updating it is that iTunes and QuickTime program files will also be updated.) -
My firefox updated today automatically, and then when it started up, it displayed this alert message:
"[JavaScript Application] XML tag name mismatch (expected META)"
I can press OK and my browser then works just fine and I can go to websites and what-not. I have not run across any problems or anything. I am just wondering what this alert message means and if I should fix it?
I tried closing the browser and pulling it back up, and the same message was displayed. Also, if I open a new window the same message is displayed. But it is only displayed right when I open the browser, and does not show up anytime while using the browser. If you click the Home button from another page, does the error repeat? If so, what is your home page?
When Firefox starts, it fires up a lot of add-ons. A standard diagnostic for add-on issues is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Backing up your information. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode (Safe Mode) using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the Safe Mode dialog, do not check any boxes, just click "Continue in Safe Mode."
Do you still get the message? If not, one of your add-ons might not be fully compatible with Firefox 14 or might need an update. -
My yahoo toolbar does not start when I start firefox I have to redownload it why?
why does my yahoo toolbar not work when I start firefox? i HAVE TO RE INSTALL IT EVERY TIME.
Have you checked that all your plugins are up to date? See here:
And updated all themes and extensions? See here:

You should also try clearing the cache to see if that helps.
I suspect that this is an issue with the Yahoo toolbar rather than Firefox. There are a number of user reviews complaining about various problems on the add-on page. Unfortunately yahoo don't seem to offer support for the toolbar product (other than yahoo answers). It might be worth asking there as well if none of the above works.
If after trying all of this you can't get it to work then let me know. There may be other features in Firefox that you can use to cover the same functionality that the yahoo toolbar gives you. What particular features do you like about it? -
I have to click on Firefox search line when I first start Firefox up even though the cursor is already blinking there when Firefox starts.
As you can see from the using themes with Firefox article, personas are "lightweight themes that can change the color scheme and background image of the Firefox toolbars" and they wouldn't change the webpages.
If you don't like seeing Google as your home page you might want to look at how to set the home page and change it.
Finally Firefox 3.5.x will be maintained with security and stability updates until August 2010, so you might want to update to a newer version. -
An unknown error occured (-42110) pops up when starting iTunes. However, everything seems to be fine. This message pops up on my account, my husband's, my son but not my daughter. Very irritating. I have iTunes installed on another laptop and this does not happen. I already uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it and still the message pops up. How can I remove this message and what does it mean? Thank you.

I get this message whenever I open firefox or a new tab. Anything I had tabbed to the top has gone, and the original homepage which shows all my recent visits is invalid. The full message is:
The address isn't valid
The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded.
Web addresses are usually written like http://www.example.com/
Make sure that you're using forward slashes (i.e. /).
Try Again.
Help mee!!!Hi fredmcd-hotmail
It's not that I'm typing anything in wrong, it's when I first open Firefox or a new tab. Instead of displaying the firefox page showing my recently viewed websites it's just an invalid URL. Why would I be blocked from this page?
Thanks -

Just installed v5 of Firefox over v4.1 to XP system, 2Gb memory. Reinstalled 2Java updates, Silverlight and adobe reader as recommended in post firefox installation window. Rebooted and tried to make the new AppTabs work to no avail.
I"m not sure what else you need. The new AppTabs are not working. When Firefox is closed, AppTabs do not reappear when it is reopened later. They were installed by right-click on open tab as instructed on your upgrade website. Tabs were for yMail, gMail, and iGoogle. I have not tried to pin any other apps or sites. Is there anything I can do to make this work, or is this a bug? Thanks for the assist. mikeSIt is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
* Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).

I have tried reinstalling numerous times but I keep getting the same message and I cannot use the burning feature. I have other burning software on my computer but it has always been there. This problem just started recently. Please help!
This same thing happened to me about two months. ago. I bought a new harddrive for my previously-fried netbook, and when I installed iTunes it gave me the missing registry business. So I came online and looked for solutions. This solution led to a different 'can't burn' error in iTunes, and I found a solution to that one, and it was like I was running in circles for a solid two weeks. Finally I managed to fix the problem, but after trying it hundreds of times I couldn't tell you which solution won out. Well, everything was fine and dandy, until I upgraded iTunes last night. Now its back to the same registry settings problem, and I want to maim something. Someone please help me ;___;
I'm running Windows 7 by the way, on an Acer aspire netbook -
when i start firefox i get a message that asks if i want to install an update, then it says it cannot install and asks me to close an other firefox progams and try again. there are no other firfox program runing and the the loops starts over.
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update not working properly)
Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
(%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates)
Do a clean reinstall:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
