We live in China - I am an American. She is fluent in English but not good with computers. In order for me to help her on her computer, I need everything in English. She accidentally installed Firefox in Chinese.
Do we have to uninstall it then reinstall it to get the English version or is there another way?

MarkisThat is the best way. When you uninstall Firefox using the default settings it does not remove your user data such as bookmarks and passwords. They will be available when you re-install Firefox. Just make sure you do not choose the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations".

When I bring up my Mozillafirefox, all I get is a window with a blank white screen, (and the firefox logo). (After using Firefox very happily for over a year, I had to 'reinstall' Firefox 3.66 about a month and a half ago, (and lost all my bookmarks as a result therein), and hope I can get my firefox back this time without having to reinstall. Mozilla Firefox is still listed as one of my active programs). HELP! Is there a way to get my firefox back without reinstalling? Many thanks!

What could be wrong with my iMac? When switched on the screen displays the apple logo with a busy bar at the bottom of the screen. This displays the progress of the computer trying to do something. To fill the bar takes about 30 mins and then switches off

I was updating Firefox from version 3.6 (I think) to 5.0. Simultaneously I had done a update on Windows that seemed to have stopped. The update of Firefox had also come to a stop. As I remember it the installation was complete, and I was attempting to start the program, when Firefox was checking compatibility with installed plug-ins and so forth.
The Windows updates installed fine afterwards but after several reinstalls of Firefox, I still can't seem to get it to start.
There is no error message or notification at all when trying to start Firefox.
One processes is created, staying steady at 50% CPU and 26 404 K memory.
If i try to open another instance of Firefox I get a process that takes 0% CPU and about 1 844 K memory.
Summary:
Firefox fails to start after interrupted update to 5.0 from 3.6.
There is no error message.
Firefox never starts (and the process never shuts down), just shows in the Task Manager under Processes steady at 50% CPU and about 26 000 K memory (I've seen it do this for at least 20 minutes, before terminating it).Thanks kenton. But now pop-up says beta 5.
The ''real issue'' is what is going on. On one machine the update process works, but on my other machine it does not.
The machines are identical IBM T60s with Windows XP.
This is a real mystery, as well as being annoying.

hello, this is a scam tactic that is trying to trick you into installing malware, so don't download or execute this kind of stuff! as you've rightly mentioned, you're already using the latest version of firefox installed and you can always initiate a check for ''updates in firefox > help > about firefox''.
you might also want to run a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and different tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes], [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] & [http://www.kaspersky.com/security-scan kaspersky security scan] in order to make sure that there isn't already some sort of malware active on your system that triggers these false alerts.

Is there not anything else I can do?Well, I have no more detailed info for you, but if this error (and other, similar ones) pops up, it is usually a good idea to take a look at your shared Adobe components and other Adobe programs. The error itself seems related to the Adobe font system and/or generic vector rasterization engine such as it is also used by Acrobat and various import/ export filters. Therefore a good place to start is to remove any fonts on the system that you don't need. The engine may simply be trying to load them and then fails because they are damged or have some otehr ominous info. If that fails, look into what otehr apps you have on the system. Run the Adobe Updater to make sure you have all the latest versions. If it still does not work think about uninstalling the products. I know it's a pain, but it may get AE to function. As a helper, use the CS3 Clean scripts from the support pages. These will work a little faste and really kill everything (compared to a normal uninstall), Just make sure to deactivate before uninstalling, or you may run into trouble when trying to reactivate.

Release the Buttons...
If no joy...Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings. -

Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not synced. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not touched with the iTunes sync process. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer which is not handled by iTunes. Most importing software includes an option to delete the photos/videos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete. If is my understanding that some Windows import software supports importing photos from the Camera Roll, but not videos. Regardless, the import software should not delete the photos/videos from the Camera Roll unless you set the app to do so.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are included with your iPhone's backup. If you synced your iPhone with iTunes before the videos on the Camera Roll went missing and you haven't synced your iPhone with iTunes since they went missing, you can try restoring the iPhone with iTunes from the iPhone's backup. Don't sync the iPhone with iTunes again and decline the prompt to update the iPhone's backup after selecting Restore. -

I decided to give Netflix a call about this problem.
On a recording while waiting for a support rep, it said if you're having problems logging in to go to:

It works for me. Now I have to logon everytime I go to their site though versus it had kept me already logged in before this problem.
