When I start firefox through shortcut icon on desktop, the message comes that Windows cannot find C:\...\jqsnotify.exe . Tried to search the file through Search also but could not find the file.
That is the Java Quick Starter, a couple of options for you:
# Open the add-ons manager (in the Tools menu select Add-ons)
# In the list of Extensions, click on Java Quick Starter to select it, then click on Disable
When you re-start Firefox that should stop the error.
The second option is to re-install Java. You are using an old version of Java so it is recommended that you install the latest version, available from http://java.com/

When i start Firefox ( 5.0.1 ) it loads the home page fine but along with it, it starts playing a video i watched earlier on youtube and it is invisible ( no where in tabs ) and i can just hear the sound. After playing the video one time it stops.
Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

When I click external links, (not in a page i have open) like from other programs... I get an error that Windows cannot find ( then puts the link that I clicked) then a bunch of garbage... after this errors comes up, the page i was trying to load comes up. That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

Just a few days ago, I noticed that when I start Firefox it goes to a blank page, despite the fact that I have several times checked and rechecked under "Options" and my home page is in there. Also the back button has stopped working. I have made sure that inprivate browsing is not enabled, history is maintained etc etc

when i start firefox i get a message that asks if i want to install an update, then it says it cannot install and asks me to close an other firefox progams and try again. there are no other firfox program runing and the the loops starts over.

Do a clean reinstall:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.

* Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox. -
When I receive an sms from a particular contact the message comes through saying "voicemail"
I have a contact in my phone who I have recently added with her name and surname.
When ever she sends me a text, the notification pops up saying the sms is from "voicemail"
When I go into the messaging app it says her name and when she calls me it says her name as it is stored in her contact page.
I have searched through the phone looking for where the voicemail number is stored to make sure i haven't accidently put her number in that spot.
I am at a loss as to what is happening with this!

Have a three yr old Mac Air and using Yosemite 10.10.1. Have used Bovada Poker software successfully for a long time. But it began to get weird so I trashed it. Now when I download, there is a white icon over the Bovada icon in the app folder and the message "You can’t open the application “BovadaPoker.app” because it is not supported on this type of Mac."
Bovada doesn't seem to be able to help, although they acknowledge that some Mac users are having this problem. Is it Yosemite? What to do?Had the same problem...
Saw some other (ssh) broblems beind discussed and tried the fix for them and it fixed my "You can’t open the application “BovadaPoker.app” because it is not supported on this type of Mac."

Once you have obtained an external drive and connected it you will 'clone' your internal drive to it.
Download Carbon Copy Cloner (it is not free but there is a fully functional trial version which is). Use it to clone your internal drive to your external drive. When that is done you will reboot from the clone and use Disk Utility to erase the internal drive (choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled)) as the format (this is normally preset, but check). Make sure to give the external drive a 'distinctive' name, don't want to get drives mixed up in this process.
Once that is done you will use Carbon Copy Cloner (from the clone) to restore the external to the internal. -
With windows internet explorer you can very easely pin point all your favourit websites on the left side of the screen when you open IE. I want the same for Fire fox.

flv tube is set as my home page. everytime i go to change my homepage to something other than flv tube and exit fire fox, when i restart fire fox the same flv tube web site loads as my homepage. i go to the tools tab and reset my home page to default but it does not change. im sick of seeing flv tube as my home page, im very frustrated with this. can someone help me?

I hate the new 5.0, and am having the same issue. Because I created or opened and saved several documents in the new 5.0 before I realized how bad it is, I had to figure out how to make them usable again.
I have both versions of Pages (5.0 and 4.3) in my Dock for now. If a document tells me that it can't be opned by 4.3, I opn 5.0, open the document, EXPORT it in 4.3 with the same name, and overwrite the old document. That usually (big dog willing and the creek don't rise!) gives me access to my work.
Once I am sure I have no remaining 5.0 douments around, I'll take 5.0 out of the dock.
It truly is a pain in the ***. Here's the comment I left for Apple –
I am now attempting to uninstall Pages 5.0 so I can go back to using Pages 4.3. The designers of 5.0 took away (or hid) so many of the functions that I've come to know and trust that I am appalled.
It is now a kindergarten version of the workhorse I knew and loved. IT EVEN LOOKS like a dumbed-down app now, with cartoon buttons that reflect its audience – people who don't need a sophisticated, customizable publishing tool, who just need simple icons they can point at LIKE A FAST FOOD CASH REGISTER.
I'll be using either 4.3 or Word for Mac from here on out.
