Hi,
Check that all installation drives and especially the installatation
directory are local drives with an NTFS-filesystem.
It's not allowed to use network mapped drive as installation directory
or to use other filesystems like FAT or FAT32.
Make sure the installation user has full administrative rights, that is
the user belongs to either the Local Adminstrator's group if
doing a local installation or to the group of Domain Admnistratrors
if doing a Domain Installation.

According to your description, we need to make sure the following aspects.
Check if your installing files are corrupted. If you need to download any version of SQL server, you can visit Microsoft’s official website.
When you extract the installation media, you need to verify that the temporary folder exists and after extraction, check if all of installing files are in the temporary folder and your account have permission to read/write the setup.exe file.
If the file is not completed, please refer to Shanky’ post, enter the %temp% folder and look for the SqlSetup.log to resolve the problem.
In addition, make sure that you choose ‘Run as administrator’ to complete installation of SQL Server.
If there is still error in setting up SQL Server, we can check the summary and detail logs for analysis. By default, in terms of SQL Server 2012, the summary and detail logs can be found in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Setup Bootstrap\Log.

tried to reinstall OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.4 and every time i start with the installation i get a requested time out message, had to shut down my MacBook Pro retina. On my Mac, after the installation i get this error when i start - "Premiere Elements 13.0 has encountered an error. [/Adobe/pre/main/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../../Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]"

When I started my PC this morning I got a pop-up message stating that CC has damaged files and required downloading from www.adobe.com/go/adobecreativecloudapp. Indeed, CC did NOT work and subsequent attempts to download CC never got beyond the initial installer box. The posted link also appears to be bogus I am at my wits end here. Have other users experiences this issue? Is this a clever intrusion?

provide solution.Well I didn't enter a hostname from my ISP, but I did need to enter as a Host Domain the sub-domain (CNAME) that we use for our server. Don't know all the proper terminology, but I hope that's clear enough to someone to help. As soon as I did that, it worked again.

I just upgraded to Snow Leopard then Lion and the computer shut down after installation.
Now when it starts up it gets as far as the apple icon and then shuts down again
whenever I turn it on it loads that far and then closes.

When I hold down the option key, all that shows is the mouse arrow, nothing else.
When I try the disk utility idea, I'm unable to press the repair disk option, the only thing I can press is something along the lines of 'verify disk permission' which tells me that there's no package, or something like that.
I've reset the PRAM, but all that that has done is that now when i start up my computer, the startup sound actually goes off, instead of it being silent before.
I've had this computer for almost three years now, and I have a lot of important files in there, so I don't want to reinstall Mac OS X. Is there anything else I can do?How to Perform an Archive and Install
An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update. -
my itunes won't work so i tried reinstalling and when it starts an error pops up that says:

oonce you get into the revo uninstallergo thru to delete itunes hit uninstall on the itunes icon then you will go thru to it will tell u the same nmessage about the feature and network hit cancell then go thru and hit scan (make sure bthe advance scan button is pushed) this will take awhile but go thru the list and hit everything associated with itunes. hit delete then install itunes again. it worked for me hope it works for you! -
Only recently has Firefox for my macbook pro been acting strange when starting up. I will hear a piano chord play only once when the tabs are loading. Over the past two-three weeks on daily usage, this has happened three times. I'm just concerned my macbook has a virus/bug or if this can be resolved with changing a preference/setting in Firefox. I don't believe this is a problem with my computer itself and I have checked the notification alert sounds and none are the piano chords I'm hearing. I am currently using two add-ons: Tabs-mix plus and FVD Speed Dial if that helps.

3 Open terminal and cd to desktop or the other directory

I've been unable to get my floppy drive to work. When trying to access it, the message" "insert a disk intro drive A." I have a new 865PE Neo2-P. I've re-connected the power and FDD connector and confirmed the plugs are in and tight. The FDD controll
