been looking for something a bit like it got an old ipod thouch in a audio dock in the kitchen and want to give it access to all my music not just play what is synced
so far my only options is to get an app to use upnp to get the music directly from my nas
or get some app which require the computer to be running and running some program to handle it
and as far as I can tell getting access to stuff synced on the atv is a no go

hi, my iPad 2 startd tapping on its own. it keeps repeating the tap on the same spot. i can't seem to find any remedy for it except to switch off and on it again, and even that is a temporary fix. any ideas please?
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help I and the problem persists I would have a technician take a look at your iPad. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -

I am trying to load my library on the new computer but it will not let me import. when i shut off the old computer the shared library disappears.
Yeah... that's exactly the way it is supposed to work. Sharing the library does not move it anywhere.
To move the library to the new computer, copy the entire iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer. -
I have the iPhone 4. I recently switched from PC to IMac. I am trying to sync my iPhone, but iTunes will not let me add or remove anything. Do I need to change a setting since I changed computers? I try to add songs from my music into my phone section and it will not go... Plus the playlists on my phone are not updated on my iTunes phone on my computer. Its like it never updated. What am I doing wrong??
Iphone will sync with one computer at a time.
When you sync to another it will delete the current content.
Make sure you have copied everything from your old computer to your new one first. -
I am trying to change my Apple ID under icloud on my phone, but it will not let me do it, I have already tried to delete the account, but I cannot do that becuase it wants me to put in a password that I do not have. What can I d0? I am also going next week to pick up my new phone so I need to fix it soon.

Particularly for your case:
iCloud
iOS 6 and later: Go to Settings > iCloud.
If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download to your device.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account. Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.
Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.
If you still get prompted for your old Apple ID's password, the following article provides some additional troubleshooting steps:

So, I have created my home sharing from my base computer to my laptop. On my lap top I see the tab for home sharing but it will not let me connect to my computer to share my music over. I have done everything iTunes has told me to but it still won't work. Any help would make my day...
I got some more info that may help.
I put a cd on my laptop, and was able to share it to my computer... So the problem is only from my computer to my laptop. I tried the firewall thing and it did not help. I read the rest of the trouble shooting page, and nothing else applies. iTunes is an execption and already was. I can not think of anything else being my problem. Do you think I should re-install iTunes or would that be a waste of time? At this point I am about to just call Apple for some help because I am getting to stressed over this.

Is it possible to stream music to multiple sets of speakers via airplay direct from iphone4s on ios7 in the same way that you can in iTunes / Remote?
I know this can be achieved by the remote app.

Im trying to drag and drop a email group from contacts to a new email message. But it will not let me in OS X Mavericks. Before I upgraded I could do this.
I just posted this fix to another thread and thought it might be useful to post to all of the threads I read trying to fix the problem. Here it is:
Having the same issue over here with Mavericks 10.9.1 on a new Macbook Pro/Retina. Just now found a workaround/fix/whatever:
- click on your group in the group pane of the address panel
- click anywhere in the name pane and select all (command + a)
- click the "To:" or "Cc:" or "Bcc:" tab right above the group pane at the top of the address panel window.
The names of all of the individuals in the group will appear as an expanded list in whatever field you clicked. It takes a second or two to happen. -
trying to import photos and copy as DNG. Nothing will upload though. Permissions are all accurate, saving to the right profile, etc. Nothing has changed on my computer but it will not let me import new pictures. Also, updated the software and some images say "preview cannot be seen" and some don't. And when I try to import and I hit "new photos" it's all the photos on my card. My brain is about to explode.

I try shutting down my mac but it says that it cant because "Mail" is open. so i try quitting mail but it will not let me!
Force quit Mail app. Apple logon in the menu bar select Force Quit. A dialog window will open select Mail.app and click the force quit button.
If that doesn't work hold down the power button until the system turns off. Then press it again to restart your Mac. -

Download them to iTunes abd then sync the apps. Make an appointment with Apple and see what the problem is. -
First time mac user. I used migration assistant to transfer files from my pc. Now it says I need to change my password, but it will not let me do so. Please help!! The original password is correct, it will open my files on the pc. Don't know what I am doing wrong.

Update to iOS 7.04 on ipad2. The set up screen appears but it will not let me continue the set up. It will not let me get to the next screen after choose wifi network. It is if I am stuck on the choose wifi network page. Cannot cancel or continue. Cannot switch it off. Holding home button brings set up is not complete message. But it won't let me continue. Please help. What else an I try to get through the set up?
