When I switch on my new iPad it asks me to move the slider to begin set-up. A list of languages appears and I tick English then NEXT. Another list of languages appears and the only thing to do is press the home button or BACK. I press BACK and it returns to the first list. I press the home button and a message appears saying that SET-UP was not completed do you wish to retry or continue. I press CONTINUE and nothing happens I press RETRY and it goes back to the message. What am I doing wrong or do I need to connect to I-Tunes to set-up ?
Try to connect to iTunes during the setup.

At App Store I see that Facebook needs updating. However, when I click on "update" the blue circle appears but nothing else happens.
The blue circle should go around, clockwise, as a fine line, and then as a heavy line indicating it is downloading. Then it sits while the install takes place. It may sit and wait to start the download if the internet connection is slow.

when i want to use the defat correction tool , i open the tool , i choose "correction" and then i clic on the defaut

ThanxIt's sounds like you're using the Spot Removal tool. What happens depends on the Feather and Opacity controls. If the Opacity is at 0, you won't see any change. 100 will give the full healing or cloning, while feather controls the size of the edge of the healing.

When I try to download apps, I am asked to answer security questions. However, when I cklick "continue", I am required to type in my Apple ID password but nothing else happens. Bottomline, I am not able to download apps at the time which is annoying.
Try downloading something from the iTunes Store on the iPad and see if that solve the password problem.

My Apple TV suddenly stopped working. When I hit a button on the remote the light on the apple tv flickers but nothing else happens. Anyone know how I can fix this?
I had the same problem; Apple TV was working proper then for no reason I got the continuous blinking front LED. The Apple TV has no sound or video output at all. I tried reseting the Apple TV via my Apple remote controller but that didn't do anything for me. I finally called Apple and they told me that the way to fix my box is to reset the Apple TV to factory default. So I had to attach the Apple TV to one of my Apple computers and launch iTunes. Once iTunes was running it recognized my Apple TV and I clicked on the option to restore to factory default. After the restore my Apple TV now works properly. My final action on the Apple TV was to sign into my account and enter my password.

i cant seem to edit my engraving, the order is still in the processing status but when i click save changes the buttons fade slightly but nothing else happens.
not sure what to do, any suggestions?not sure about this number i live in the uk, and besides the ipad mini im buying is for my girlfried and shes in the house so i cant really call anyone about it, i was more so hoping that someone else had this problem and knew how to olve it or something, you see the engraving is in irish and i was able to do the first line correctly but the change i want to make is in adding to the second line... however as ive said nothing happens but the buttons (save changes and cancel) just fade slightly... other than that the page does not do anything else... i really need this to be edited asap because im not sure how much of a window i have to do it and i sur eyou can understand my concerns of correcting the situation over the phone when its in irish and has a very specific spelling with faddas etc.

I was syncing my ipad yesterday and everything froze up. Now it tells me I need to restore the ipad. When I try restoring, itunes says its waiting on the ipad, but nothing else happens. What should I do?

I cannot open itunes on my mac. The Icon jumps, but nothing else happens.
I may have shut my computer off while a new version of Itunes was downloading. Not sure if this would affect it, but I can't open it now. When I click on the icon, it jumps a little, but nothing else happens! Any ideas?? Help! I can still open it on my iphone.
Boot from your Snow Leopard install DVD, run Disk Utility and run Disk First Aid.
Reboot.
Then Apple menu > Software Update.
Then reinstall iTunes. -

Dunno what it is, i would live it on all night and the next morning i see beach balls and have to force quit it, then when i start it nothing happens, i just see the menus on top, i am forced to restart the computer just to get it running again.

iChat does not close when you use the red button to close windows as some other apps do.
This means iChat can be running but not showing any windows (including any Buddy Lists).
If you set up iChat it will have at least one Buddy List.
Open iChat and go to the Window menu
In here you will see any Buddy List that is Logged in.
Selecting that item or using the keystrokes next to it will show you the Buddy List.
In Tiger/iChat 3 Apple Key and 1 would open the AIM Buddy List, Apple + 2 the Bonjour List (If active) and Apple + 3 any Jabber Buddy list.
As Leopard allows you to log several Screen names in to AIM or Jabber the list can be as mixed up as you want (or Created)
The Order can be changed in iChat menu > Preference > Accounts by dragging the list into the order you want.

i have a nano 4th generation 8gb i have tried resetting it, i get the apple logo come up but nothing else happens. It will work in my docking station but as soon as i take it out it will not respond. any ideas, do i need a new battery?
It definitely sounds like your Nano needs a new battery at this point. You can have Apple replace it for a flat fee, send it into a third party service center to be replaced for much less, or you can purchase a new battery online and swap it out yourself if you feel up to it.

What happens if you try a hard reset? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If its still stuck at the Apple logo, try connecting it to your iTunes library in recovery mode and restoring it.

I will get a pop-up message that I need to update Firefox. I click the button, and it says it is 'connecting to the update server'. It never connects, because nothing else happens. Even after an hour or two, it is still 'connecting to the update server'. If it matters, I am on a Mac.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data. -
My Sony Vaio Model PCG-61611L LED Green Light Turns on but nothing else happens
When I turn on my Sony Vaio Model PCG-61611L, the green LED light goes on, but nothing much happens. The laptop is from 2010 and is never abused, so I do not know what has happened. It just started doing this on occasions and now I can't turn it on at all. Any suggestions?
RESOLUTION, PROBLEM SOLVED!! Hopefully everyone that has been working on this problem for a number of years, found the answer.Thought the problem was the BIOS. Went to Sony's Website, entered the Model Number, and of course you have to have a ****** Jack Decoder Ring on to figure out your Model Number. But once youmanuever through that hurdle, download the BIOS update for your specific Model Number Unit. Follow the directions, it will install once you have downloaded. Basically Shut the System down after that,Wait the 60 seconds, turn on. My unit performed two Memory Tests, both check ok. Reboots to desktopLogin. Then for the Grand Finally, shut the system down once more. And finally, with out doing any two or three finger salutes.. my PC boots up again like normal.
