When I sync, list of apps stays blank?

I click on Apps under Summary, but none of the apps list out. My home screens and all that show up on the right, but nothing on the left side. Help?!

That (an app no longer available) happens sometimes.
Your only way is if you have the appt on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case move it to your iTunes library and sync.

HT204266 App Store on ipad indicates that apps updates are available, but when I select updates the screen stays blank. Is there a fix for this bug or am I stuck reloading iOS again?

Sync dialog window just stays blank (mac & linux) after FF upgrade from V 28 to V33

Hi,
I've been using FF 28 so far, using a local weave server for synching my bookmarks and passwords.
Now I've installed the new mozilla syncserver, and I wanted to upgrade FF to the latest V 33. Before upgrading I unlinked the synchronization as described in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-update-to-the-new-firefox-sync.
After upgrading to V 33 I would like to connect FF to the new syncserver. I go to Menu->Tools->Setup Sync and I get a nice 'Welcome to sync' screen. But after pressing 'Get Started' FF seems to load something, but ends up with an empty, blank white box in the middle of a light grey screen (printing 'mozilla' in the right upper part of the screen).
Same behavior on both mac and linux.
Can anyone suggest how to solve this? Any help is very much appreciated.

I have a problem when want to port forward some ports by tiping in my default ip adress but when i do the site justs stays blank. is there a way or something to shut this of so i can open ports?

Firefox includes options of how to handle different content types, in your case the mailto links are probably set to "Use Firefox". For details of how to fix this see [[Firefox keeps opening many tabs or windows]], in particular the section "Change the action for a content type".

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

A flashing question mark appears when you start your Mac
Symptoms
If you see a flashing question mark when you start your Mac, it's probably because it can't find the system software it needs to start up. Usually, all you have to do to get your Mac back up and running is remind it where its software is.
Resolution
If your computer starts up normally after a brief delay, you probably just need to reselect the startup disk in Startup Disk preferences. It's normal to see the flashing question mark when a startup disk has not been selected. In most cases, reselecting the startup disk is all that is required to resolve the issue.
Sometimes, your computer may not start beyond the flashing question mark.
Tip: If your computer has a gray screen (with no flashing question mark) startup issue, see Mac OS X: Gray screen appears during startup.
Check the mouse and keyboard
This issue might occur if a mouse or trackpad button is pressed during startup. Make sure the button isn't pressed.
If the issue persists, shut down your Mac with its power button, disconnect any external mouse and keyboard, then turn on your Mac with its power button. If the flashing question mark issue persists, reconnect the keyboard and mouse.
Additional steps
If your Mac still starts to a flashing question mark, follow the steps below. If any step resolves the issue, you don't need to continue to the next one.
Select your Mac OS X startup disk with Startup Manager by restarting and holding the Option key. After your Mac starts up, restart again to verify that the flashing question mark does not appear.
If the issue persists, insert your Mac OS X installation disc. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc.
MacBook Air note: On a MacBook Air, there are two options for starting up from Mac OS X media: Either connect a MacBook Air SuperDrive to the MacBook Air via the USB port and restart the computer, holding down the C key during startup, or use Remote Install Mac OS X to startup from a system software DVD that's located on a partner computer. Once started up from Mac OS X media, skip to step 3.
Restart the computer, then hold the C key during startup.
From the Utilities menu, choose Disk Utility. Don't click Continue.
Select your Mac OS X disk (named "Macintosh HD" by default) in the left side of the Disk Utility window.
Click the First Aid tab.
Click Repair Disk to verify and repair any issues with your Mac OS X startup disk.
After repairing the disk, try to start up normally.
Important: If Disk Utility finds issues it cannot repair, you may need to back up as much of your data as possible (or use Time Machine to back up to a different disk), then erase the disk and reinstall Mac OS X. You should back up important files and data before erasing a drive. Erasing deletes everything on the hard disk (including things on your desktop). Also, you can install Mac OS X onto an external disk, start from the external disk, and use Migration Assistant to transfer items from your usual internal Mac OS X startup disk to the external disk, then erase the internal disk and reinstall Mac OS X.
If the issue persists, and Disk Utility didn't find any irreparable issues, quit Disk Utility, quit the Installer, select your disk when prompted, and restart.
If the issue continues, reset PRAM. Note: After resetting PRAM, if the computer starts up normally, reselect the startup disk in the Startup Disk preferences.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, start up from the Mac OS X Installation disc and reinstall Mac OS X.

Please help me! problems with syncing I-Tunes apps./podcasts to IPhone 4

Some apps. would not download directly from app. store on IPhone 4 due to size of app. Downloaded app. on computer; however, when I sync, these large apps. do not replace the apps. on IPhone that still show as "loading." I tried deleting these apps. from I-Tunes and then syncing, so I could start over, but the apps. on I-Phone remain, still showing as "loading."
Checked podcasts and music on I-Tunes not syncing to IPhone.
Have run out of ideas.

If the restrictions code was on the iPad when you last backed up (and if you've just backed it up then it will be) then you won't be able to restore to that backup - the code will be stored/kept in that backup, so restoring to that backup will also restore/keep the restriction in-place on the iPad.
You can copy your purchases from your iPad to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, and you will need to copy any other items (documents, files, photos etc) that you want to keep from the iPad to your computer so that you can then reset the iPad back to factory defaults and start from new with it

Enter a search word and all purchased apps with that word will appear in a result page that is not blank.

There's been a problem with this all day. Seems to be a server problem - wait a day and try again, or use itunes on the computer to update, that works.

When I sync music with iTunes on my ipod deleted songs stay on song list and cannt be deleted.

What happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing those songs?

Firestarter's hit list stays blank when portscanned locally

I have no real understanding of Iptables and just realized that after switching to AL I needed to set up some sort of firewall on my desktop.
So I pacman'd firestarted, found it in /opt/gnome/bin and ran the gui app
I set up everything according to how I wanted it to act and then dropped it down into KDE's tray.
I hopped over to one of my other local computers and scanned it with nmap and Xscan and both turned up blanks. Thats great... but Firestarter's hitlist is staying blank. Not a single notification has popped up as it should, the home LAN has numerous M$ and *nix boxes.... and our public IP is scanned quite regularly by kiddies out there....
Is there some configuration I need to carry out? I've read the manual at Firestarter's homepage and drew a blank.
Anyone seen this behavior with firestarter? It will stay running on the comp as its keeping my desktop slightly less vulnerable but I'd really like to gain full functionality from the program.
If ya'll need any more information please don't hesitate to ask... Or a URL to go read at... I've drawn a blank on google and linuxquestions.org....

and you'll have live report from iptables.
^ I think this should work, but haven't tested it yet (as I've said).

P.S.1. There are some more advanced programs (as far as I remember) for detecting intrusions on Linux. I don't remember these advanced programs having a GUI, probably because they're enough complicated on the inside to create an interface for them. They just put the output in a log, you follow it whatever you want. You won't see much interactivity from the Linux firewalls, mostly because they were supposed to just sit on a machine and do their work.
P.S.2. I haven't seen on linux a GUI firewall on linux doing popups and so on. This is probably because the components are well defined, the firewall runs as root and you probably log in as a normal user. Allowing a normal user to modify live the firewall rules creates a security hole.
