Some photo folders in my Windows Photo Gallery are listed in iTunes when I sync my iPhone 3GS but the folders are empty. The same photo folders in Windows Photo Gallery are full of photos. How do I fix this?
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

When i sync my iphone 3gs, my iTunes hangs up after iTunes sync the apps, so i can't put music or videos etc. on my divice...
Why is that soCheck the General -> Restrictions settings and see if perhaps the iTunes app is turned off there. If not, the app may have been inadvertently moved to another home screen or dropped into a folder. Do a search for the app or try resetting the Home screen layout: Choose General > Reset, then tap Reset Home Screen Layout.

When I sync my iphone with Windows 7, the contact moves to my computer, but the contact is not complete. No phone numbers. What am I doing wrong? I have also tried sync-ing with Yahoo, and that doesn't work either.
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer. -

Syncing goes from your computer to your device, not the other way around. If you want to copy photos off your iPhone then it's not done via iTunes. Photos taken with the iPhone or saved from emails/websites etc : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . If you want to copy off photos that were originally synced from your computer then you will need an app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free 'lite' version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer)

Yea... agreed I had about 160 GB free on my Hard drive and tried to synce my iPhone 5S (currently about 32GB in use of 64) and iit says I don't have enough free space. Uh...yes....yes I do. So I cleaned up backups in iTunes from my previous phone and moved some large files to my 1TB time capsule...now I have over 200GB Free...and yet...when I try to synce my phone and it moves to the "backup" part...it thinks for a moment...and then says...nope I don't have enough space on my hard drive. Must be new Apple Math? I ran diagnostics on my system...ran a full permissions check and cleaned up everything. Personally..this particular iMac is older. Stuck on 10.6.8 --- I'm thinking it's some sort of 64bit/versus 32bit problem. Still, this should be considered a software defect. Apple needs to create a fix. Alternately... yes...I would like a new iMac, but they aren't free so... if anyone wants to upgrade me I won't turn you down.

I used to be able to sync my Outlook calendar with my Iphone calendar, but the last few times I tried it did not sync. Help!
Anything. It completes three steps only and when I see the backup in the summary info it reads from yesterday, not today. I also just bought a new mac and updated to IOS 6, so not sure if that has something to do with it.

I just synced my iphone 3gs after downloading the safari update. Now I can't open any apps except the ones that came with the phone. I have tried rebooting, turning it off and on.
When I select the icon, it goes to the page then returns to my screensaver.
It was working well before the update and sync with my Acer netbook. Have never had any problems with itunes store or downloads.this happened to me with my iPhone 4. I researched the problem and found this :
"The reason this happens is because every time a downloaded app is opened it checks for your itunes password for validation that you are authorized to open that app (as it may contain personal info). From time to time the iphone 'forgets' your itunes password. You can fix the missing password by syncing the iphone with itunes or downloading an app from the app store and entering your password that way.”
And to fix it, all I did was download a new app, or delete a current one, I used Facebook, and re-download it.

it worked the first few times i did it but the next day after i closed out of itunes once, the device only appears when i plug in my phone.Whenever a menu choice is grayed out, that is because you have Restrictions turned on in Settings. Be sure to turn it off.
You are confusing an itunes store account with an icloud account. You two can continue using the same ID for itunes (thus sharing purchased music, apps, etc.), but you really should have separate accounts (different IDs) for icloud, since an account is intended for one user to keep his/her devices in sync.
To create a new icloud account, go to
http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Then go to Settings>icloud and scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Account. (have restrictions turned off) That will disconnect the device from the account but will not delete data in icloud or other devices. Then sign in using the new ID. -
I've tried syncing my iPhone 3GS, but it'll stop when the sync is nearly complete, and the sync is interrupted with an error message reading "Error 1015". I've already tried all of the other things suggested by iTunes (ensuring that my OS is up-to-date, disconnecting other USB cables, ect.), yet this problem persists. Help...

I recently installed iTunes 11.0. Now when I want to sync my iPhone 3GS the software wants to add 256 contacts and 1005 items to my calendar, both on my Windows XP computer. I would assume that these are duplications. Is there some way to fix this? Alternatively, how can I reinstall the previous version of iTunes?
I have already authorized this computer with my Apple ID. I think this only allows me to re-download all purchased applications to the iTunes library again without re-purchasing them. However, iTunes still keeps asking me if I want to "erase and sync" or not.

Reverse syncing from iPhone 3GS to iPhoto?
I sync my iPhone to my MacBook with iPhoto 2009. I have no problems.
Now the Mrs. wants to sync her iPhone 3GS to my MacBook.
Here's my question:
She already has a bunch of photo albums and video albums on her iPhone. They are NOT in the cameral roll, but are in various albums under "Photos" from when we synced her iPhone on her POS Windows Craptastic laptop.
When I go to sync her phone to iPhoto 2009 via the MacBook's iTunes, a message comes up warning that syncing would delete the photos on her iPhone and replace them with photos from iPhoto.
I want to keep the photos she has on her iPhone, preferably syncing them across into iPhoto on the MacBook. I'm afraid that if I sync her phone and photos to the MacBook, I will lose forever that which is already on her iPhone.
Any ideas please?The sync process for photos from your computer to your iPhone is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone. Photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone are optimized for viewing on the iPhone as part of the iTunes transfer process, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported (the original resolution is reduced), which should remain on the computer used for transferring the photos from. Photos can be transferred from a single computer only. When transferring photos from another computer, all photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first.
The iPhone does not support disk mode. It can't be used as an external flash drive for transferring data from one computer to another.
Your Mrs. needs to transfer the photos from her PC to your Mac importing the photos into iPhoto. This can be done with an external hard drive or with a USB Flash drive or pen. -
Cannot sync my iPhone 3GS to my iTunes albums on my iMac
Even though my iMac is an AUTHORIZED computer, it keeps asking me for authorizing the machine, when I attempt to sync. my iPhone 3GS running iPhone 4. When I re-submit my iTunes log in name and password, and click AUTHORIZE, it reverts back to the same, asking me to authorize, again and again.
I filed a help request from iTunes. I got a suggestion to trash my SC info folder. I did, but to no avail. Yestertday the helper did not respond to my d follow-up. Today she is not in. And I am still stuck.
Can anyone help?

Last night I tried to sync my Iphone 3GS to my laptap because I had a lot of new music. What happened was, at first I lost all my music, photos, and all my contacts (all phone numbers). I was able to retrieve some music, not the new ones, some photos but not all, and none of my contacts. What did I do wrong and how do I get my songs/contacts/photos back.
Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.
