I have synced and downloaded from the istore but nothing is showing up on the mini
I watched 350 song all download went to the music and nothing was so where did it download to?

There could be some miscleannous data that the iPad doesn't account for in the main categories that could have caused this influctuation. This could comprise of calenders, mail, website data etc.
Try to root out the main cause. See if it's app data that's taking the space. Go to General > Usage and you'll see the apps that take the most space.
If the app data is not the problem, try switching the iPad off and on. Otherwise, reset the iPad's settings one by one by going to General > Reset. There would be various options and you may want to reset them one by one and see how it goes.
The last solution is to scour inside the apps itself. Go into apps manually and see if there's some significant load of items stored in there, such as humongous Pages documents or multitudes of lapsing data. Consult Apple services and see if they could find your problem.
Note: if you have jailbroken your iPad, it is possible the "other data" may account for jailbroken features.

Every time I sync my iPhone to iTunes, it messes up my music and I spend 6 hours trying to fix my library and getting my playlists back and getting my songs accessible on both the iPhone and iTunes once again. This is a bit ridiculous. I thought a simple solution would be to just remove all of the music from the phone and then sync back the playlists I wanted. To remove the songs, I went to my iPhone from iTunes, went to the music tab, and unselected to box to sync music. I synced the phone, which should have removed all of the music - which it did, it is no longer on my phone, but when I try to sync the music back onto the phone, iTunes tells me that there is not enough storage space. When I look at the little storage bar in iTunes, the 8GB of space that used to be labelled as "music" is now labelled"other." so I have no songs on my iPhone, and I can't put them back because it thinks the space is still occupied - and it shouldn't be. How do I reclaim the space without doing a hard reset without restoring a backup? That seems to be the default solution to all problems with Apple products, but is really not an acceptable solution - there has to be a better way.

Connect your phone to computer, and sync like this. Check the boxes for the playlists, artists, albums you want to sync. Then click Apply. If you have enough space on your phone, you can choose Entire music library.

Unfortunately, Apple removed the feature to "browse backups" in Time Machine backups of iPhoto a few years ago.
You have to restore the entire iPhoto library to a separate location to be able to "see" it, and then choose the specific images that you want use.

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer.

I solved my own problem....I simply moved the cable to another port while moving the mouse to the USB ports on the opposite side of the computer....and the computr finally recognized the phone...I know it sounds weird but it worked...so if you are having the same problem that had trying removing all the crap you have plugged into the USB ports on your computer THEN plug in your IPhone 4s...use the cable that came with the phone and nothing else...good luck..>!!!

If you purchased it on your ipad, then you would have to transfer it to your computer. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.

What settings do you have in the iTunes Music tab for your device?
Is Sync Music set?

If iTunes is confused and thinks the music actually is on your iPhone you could try unchecking Sync Music and then sync. Follow this by checking Sync Music and then sync again.
