When I sync videos onto my pc they are 'faded' and run in slow motion. Is this a fault with my pc or the sync process?
Photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync/transfer process is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone.
As with iTunes content, photos can be transferred to an iPhone from a single computer only. When transferring photos from another computer, all photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first with a warning message provided indicating this will happen before doing so.
Photos transferred from your computer is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, and any photos transferred from your computer should remain on your computer. If you have a single folder of photos selected to be transferred from your computer and switch to a different folder of photos, the first folder of photos currently on your iPhone will be erased from your iPhone first with a warning message provided before this occurs, but all photos transferred from your computer should remain on your computer.
Photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll are not included with the iTunes sync process except for being included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated as the first step during the iTunes sync process. Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process are not included with your iPhone's backup, but these photos should remain on your computer and be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data.

Only receiving notifications to my iPhone but not to my iPad. Pretty sure they are both set up the same. Any suggestions welcome.
Open the Settings app on teh iPad, go to Notifications and check to see what you have set up.
Make sure Do Not Disturb isn't set to On. -
When I switched from windows vista to windows 7 on a new computer my ipod doesnt play songs from itunes fully it cuts them off before they play out entirely. Any suggestions?
Delete the current copy, don't hide from iTunes in the cloud if prompted, close iTunes, reopen, download from iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
While downloading click the download icon and uncheck Enable simultaneous downloads. You may find it more reliable that way.

Multiple videos load at once and start playing creating sound mess and sucking up ram. This is happening on Firefox on both Windows 8 and Windows 7 machines. This started about three weeks ago. I have run Avast, malwarebytes, hitman pro, and other malware killers. A new youtube setting appeared in settings, I have unticked everything. The videos do not appear to be youtube based.
You could enable plugins click-to-play. Also, set the plugins to Ask to Activate rather than Always Activate. I also recommend the extension "Click to Play per-element".

Can this situation be remedied; how can I make it work?The only thing that comes close is ExportPDF at $19.99 (with tax that could be about right) but it's an online subscription.

My PC Windows 7 hard drive crashed. I have a new hard drive. But i lost all my CD's that i had burned onto iTunes. They are all still on my iPhone 4s, but when i sync, only the purchased songs will import. Is there anyway to retrieve them? Thanks!
Restore your library from your most recent backup (you do keep regular backups, I hope). If the hard drive is in any way salvageable it may be possible to mount it in an external enclosure, connect it to your PC, and retrieve data from it even if it is not functioning as a primary OS drive (if you don't have the kit necessary to do this, your local PC repair shop may be able to help). Failing that, you can always recreate your library by re-importing your CDs.

Hello, does anyone have any advice on how to sort photos in an albumn on an Iphone by date of photo? I've ordered them all in my Pictures but then when I sync them across through Itunes, they all end up in a jumble on my phone. Thanks!
When viewing an album on the iPhone you can tap "Photos" at the bottom and that will show all photos by date. Unfortunately though it is all photos, not just the album you are currently viewing.
What I have done is the following. On the computer I have a main folder (e.g. iPhone photos) and then make sub-folders within that. Placing photos that will be synched to the iPhone into various subfolders gives quite a bit of organizational capablility. In iTunes when you select the main folder to sync, the sub-folders will show on the iPhone as separate albums. Beyond that, in one case where I really wanted a specific sort within an album I renamed the photos on the computer (something like A-picxxx, B-picxxx) so they sorted on the computer alphabetically in the order I want on the phone. That sort order was maintained after the sync.
Note that each time you sync using iTunes, the non-Camera Roll pictures on the phone will be set to match the current iTunes settings/photos -- so you can experiment. -
All my sounds have stpped working. Only ringer sound works. When I send video file to someone, they can ear sound. I cant hear it. I have iphone 4s... please help
Just had this occure as you described: ringer only all other sounds mute. The second time this has happened. A simple reboot (turn off and on) restored normal functionality. the first time I read some post but don't remember how I restored it then so I am back here again. Seems like the problem and fix is different for different people, but this time for me a reboot did it.

I arranged my photos in order and in folders on my PC. When I synced them to my IPad they were in the correct folders but completely out of order. How can I get them to sync in the order they appear on my PC?.
On iOS 5 (if viewing individual photo albums on the iPad) the photo sorting order should be by filename, on iOS 4 it's date taken (from here) :
iOS 4 sorts photos by the Date Taken tag of the photos. Specifically, your device uses the pictures' EXIF tags to determine the Date Taken information. Your device will look for the following EXIF tags within your pictures:
Capture Date
Date Time Digitized
Date Time Original
Last Modified
So you will need to change their names or their dates -
I took some videos using my iPhone 5c and uploaded them to my computer. I can play the videos in iPhoto, but when I open them in QuickTime, they are dark and silent. Why can't I see them in QuickTime?
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

i am having problems with my ipod syncing all of my videos to my ipod from my itunes playlist, it will only sync about half even though they are all checked
I assume there is more than ample space remaining on your iPod to hold all the videos? Are you getting any error messages during the sync process?
Do all of these videos play okay in iTunes? Is the sync only checked songs and videos option enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab?
What other setting do you have enabled from under the iPod's video configuration tab in iTunes?

(PC) When I sync a folder of photos, they sync to the generic photo library on my iPhone, but it creates another folder with duplicates of the pictures. How do I prevent/get rid of this second folder?
Um... that does not contain "duplicates".
It's just a view that shows you everything that's in your other albums and events in one place... -
My video clips are just black when i import them to iMovie! (they are mp4) p.s. i have alot of clips
I keep importing all these video files which are mp4 format and they have thumbnail pics but when i hover over them to preview they turn black and i cant see any thing!?
do i have the wrong format or what? I have worked with imovie alot and this has ever happend...
HELP PLEASE!!It is possible that the clips are are variant of h.264 that iMovie cannot read.
I would suggest that you get a free tool called MPEG Streamclip from squared 5 dot com.
Drag one of your clips into MPeG Streamclip. The File/Export Using QuickTime. Choose either the Apple Intermediate codec or the h.264 codec. H.264 will give you a smaller file. Apple Intermediate Codec will give you a larger file but smoother editing performance.
In iMovie, use File/Import Movie to import this new clip.
If that works, then MPEG Streamclip has a batch mode where you can do all the clips at once. -
Where are my photos on the PC after synching with an iphone? I know nobody out there is stupid enough to suggest to me that they are encrypted and inaccessible, right? Seriously? How stupid would Apple corporation have to be to do something like this? That would be just as foolish as making my music unusable on the PC...
Okay, Let's assume that Apple is indeed THAT foolish.......How does one get the photos from the phone to the PC and still use them?The photos are still on your phone, and if enabled in your Photo Stream. They are not automatically transferred to your computer when syncing.

Variables Window will not open
Anyone ever encountered this? One of my collegues cannot open his Captivate 5 Variables window. When he tries, Captivate simply freezes. Same thing happens whether accessing from the Captivate menu or from within the Advanced Actions window. Steve
