Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Can I get my old pic back the one get erased when I rest my phone

You can if it was in your camera roll when you last backed up to iCloud, but you will have to restore the entire backup to recover it (not just photos).  If you want to do this, it has to be done in the initial setup process.  If you have any data on your phone now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first.  Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  You will then go through the setup screens as you did when the phone was new. When given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below).  Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.

  • HT1535 Ipod Nano linked to a non existant library.   How can I get my old songs to a new library?

I have an old Nano that I have about 300 songs on.  I no longer have the PC with the library that this device was linked to.  I have a new iPhone 5 and opened a new iTunes library to purchase songs for the new phone.  How can I get the songs from the Nano to transfer to my new iTunes library that is syncd to my iPhone?

    Hi Elk2bugle,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
You can transfer iTunes purchases from your iPod to a new computer. See this article for the steps:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
You can also download past purchases directly to your iPhone, or computer using iTunes:

    All the best,

  • HT1751 when I click and drag itunes into a external harddrive all I get is a icon in the harddrive not the files

when I click and drag itunes to an external harddrive all I get is a shortcut an icon to itunes not the files the music to itunes
I am running  windows xp home edition

I had this problem once and in my case it happenned with music I had not purchased through itunes and also to music that stored in icloud.  Once I brought that music off icloud and into my laptop it resolved most of the issue.

  • I replaced the hard drive on my Mac, and when I sync my iPhone, only the recent photos will sync, not all of my photos. How can I get my old photos to sync in iPhoto?

I have just downloaded the latest version of Lion, and I have iCloud.

Photo sync is 1 way. You can purchase 3rd party software to extract the photos, but be warned, the photos stored on the phone are NOT full resolution. They are reduced in resolution and optimized for the screen on the phone.
Did you have a Time Machine backup? You can restore them from there.
The iPhone is NOT intended to be a backup device.

  • Broke my old computer, how can i get my old account on to new computer?

My old computer was destroyed before I could retrieve any information off of it.  I was given a computer that already had itunes installed, but now I can't use this new computer as my primary account and cannot sync my ipod with this new computer without first dlelting all of my ipod information.  How can I get this cuurent itunes account back to "virgin" and how can I make this my one-and-only syncable itunes account?  Thank you so much for any help you can offer!

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Use this to put eveything back.

  • I can't access my old apps on my new iPhone 4 S

About a week ago I lost my old iPhone 4G and today I replaced it with the new iphone. Also, about a month ago, I had to get a new laptop (my daughter spilled juice on the old one and I wasn't able to recover anything) and had yet to sync up my old iPhone on the itunes on my new computer.  So my problem is that I can't get any of my old apps-purchased or free.  I had used an old email account when I previously installed the apps that is no longer accessible.  Is there any way to get them back? I miss Fruit Ninja!
Thanks for any help! (and seriously...could anything else have technologically gone wrong?)

I understand your pain, I had a problem similar to this way back before the App Store even existed; with music.
The main problem lies in your e-mail account, since iOS 4.3 and above support re-downloading paid apps via an Apple ID. Your best bet would to try and remember the name and password of your old e-mail account.
You mentioned losing an old computer; the only part that is of any importance (for the situation) is your hard drive. Unless someone specifically told you the hard drive was done for on your old PC, I would try and salvage that (if possible), use it as an external HDD and try to find your Keychain Access (or Password log equivalent on Windows). It's very possible you opted to have saved passwords through web clients (like webmail) saved somewhere on your HDD.
It may just be easiest to download the Apps again (unless you had very expensive applications).
    Good luck!

  • Installed new Hard Drive in iMac G3, can't get OSX to install

I installed a new 40GB drive in my iMac G3 333Mhz Tray Loader, I used the Disk Utility to create one 37.15GB partition called "Machintosh HD". When I run the Mac OS X Panther installer it recognizes my partition but there is a Red Exclamation point on it and it exclaims "You cannot install Mac OS X on this volume. This destinationis not within the first 8GB of this hard disk. Does this mean that I can only create an 8GB paritition for the Operating System?

The tray-loading iMac G3s require a first partition of just under 8GB and that's where OSX must go, so you have accurately intrepreted the messages.
Those computers were designed long before OSX was a gleam in it's daddy's eye and, were it not for the 8G partition thing, could not run OSX at all.
I set up three Powerbooks G3s that share that partition limitation. With a smart install of Panther (install none of the printer drivers and don't install foreign language support or fonts) I got the System to right at 2G, leaving nearly six for apps that must be in the folrder and thfor the needed swap files.
The second larger partition is a great place to put OS9, data files (like  music, photo or movie libraries). It is also the best place for apps that don't have to be in the OSX partition. That's usually those with a drag-n-drop installation.

  • New computer how can I get my old purchases on the new computer?

I got a new computer, but don't know how to get my itunes to transfer my purchases over to new computer and don't want to lose all my music... can someone help?

Go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Go through all the tabs to download again for free

  • HT201272 I previously downloaded iphone apps and stored them on my phone and computer. Now I want to download them to my ipad but my iphone bit the dust. how can I get previously purchased apps to my new ipad.?

I purchased an application that offered all kinds of books, imbedded within, at no cost...now on IPAD all like books, study guides, are imbedded for purchase. I dont see why I have to pay for the application twice...It was Olive Bible : offering on my phone at least 5-10 different  translation, plus 20+ books by the old Church preachers dating back to the reformation forward. Please advise how to access my iphone apps...already paid for...to install on my ipad.

If they are still in the store and you are signed in with the same account (and they are compatible with iPads) then you should be able to download them on your iPad via the Purchased tab in the App Store app - you may need to tap the 'iPad Apps' button at the top left of that screen and select 'iPhone Apps' instead.
Or if you have on your computer's iTunes you can connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar (on iTunes 11 you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC) and then use the Apps tab on the right-hand side of iTunes to select and sync them to your iPad.

  • HT201269 My husband bought me a new Iphone today and first sent my old Iphone to Icloud.  Now I can't get my old apps, etc on the new phone.  I'ts very frustrating.

My husband bought me a new Iphone today, but first backed up the old Iphone to Icloud.  How do I download the old stuff.  Have not been able to follow on-line directions.  It's very frustrating.  Give me my OLD PHONE BACK!!!

If you still have your old phone back it up via iTunes, then restore your new phone via the old phone's back up. Hope that makes sense.
