I had it before but had to reinstall windows due to a software glitch. But now I'm up and running again, so I went to downlaod Itunes, only to find it wont run and download at all it skips straight from download now to thanks for downloading in practically 2 seconds and nothings downloaded. Its really fustrating and I have no idea why this is the case or what I can do to get it to download, please help. I have never had a problem downloading it in the past. it had to do with Maverick/Aperture not supporting the same date formats as before in Smart Albums when I upgraded.
Smart albums based on dates have always been problematic, if you use smart settings that require a date string to be entered. How the date string will be interpreted, will depend on your settings in the System Preferences > Language&Text > Advanced > Dates formats and the "Region".
It is much safer to use "Calendar" rules in Aperture instead of "Date" rules with date-strings. Calendar rules will remain valid, if the region settings are changed in the System preferences.

Try restarting it. If this does not work, then hard restart it which is holding the power and home button until the product ***** off. If this does not help either, plug it into the computer and restore it. Make sure you back up the device before you restore it though! Reboot your iPad and then see if you can set the security questions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Actually, no you're not. You're trying to load old programs on this computer - programs that are based around the old (dead?) Mac OS 9, not Mac OS X.
The main problem is that Mac OS X no longer comes with Mac OS 9. If you want to run Mac OS 9 applications you can, but you'll need to source a copy of Mac OS 9 and install that before you can. Off hand I don't know of any sources for Mac OS 9.x. Apple no longer sell it. eBay might be an option.
Either that, or just use Mac OS X applications. You'd probably prefer that anyway.
Finally, as an aside, this doesn't really have anything to do with AppleScript, so posting in the appropriate forum might get you better luck.

I'm not clear on how you're trying to print. When you select Print from the file menu in Pages the current document is already selected. Perhaps you need to show the details in the print dialog. The first screenshot is from Mountain Lion the second from an earlier OS where you click the blue down-facing triangle button (sorry, I can't remember which one).

Force-quit Photos as recommended by Arsenal1607.
Make backup of your iPhoto Library and run the iPhoto Library First Aid tools to repair the permissions on your library and rebuild the iPhoto Library.
To launch the First Aid Tools hold down the alt/option and the command key simultaneously while double clicking the iPhoto Library to launch the iPhoto Library First aid tools. You'd to hold down both keys firmly and long enough, until the First Aid panel will appear.
Try both the options "Repair Permissions" and "Rebuild library". Then try again to migrate the iPhoto Library to Photos by dragging it onto the Photos icon in the Dock.
Make sure, you have plenty of free storage. Don't try the migration, if you are running out of storage.

I can copy it, but the copies don't open either. I tried deleting documents in pages as well as the app and reinstalling it, but nothing has helped.

Try quitting Pages and then reset your iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.
Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Hi Jo,
If I'm interpreting this correctly, the Word file downloads correctly, but when you open it in Pages, the link(s) which your instructor has embedded in the Word file are not correctly translated into Pages.
If the link shows the actual address, you should be able to copy that and paste it into the location bar in Safari, press return, and get to the website that way.
An alternate route might be to download one of the open source Office applications, OpenOffice.org, LibreOffice, or NeoOffice. These are written to more closely emulate the behaviours of MS Word than Pages, and may provide better support for links embedded in Word files.
