When I touch the "photos" icon on my 4th gen iPod Touch, I get a page entitled "Albums" - it's white, with many lines. At the very top of the screen, almost shadowed behind the word "albums" I can see the thumbnail of my album. But I can't access it.
I need help viewing my photos on my 4th gen iPod Touch. When I choose the "photos" icon, I get a screen called "albums". At the top of the screen, sort of shadowed behind the word "albums" I can see a thumbnail of where my pictures are. What can I do to get back my "old" view of my pictures?

Bring up the Multitask bar by double clicking on the home button, search for the photo app icon, tap on it until it starts to shake, hit the minus icon in the left corner to close the app.
Close the task bar again and start the photo app again, this time it should work.

WHenever I try to load the Gamecenter App on my iPod it just says Loading... and nothing ever happens. I can't log into my Gamecenter account, to play games and it is extremely annoying. I got a usb charger for my 4th gen Ipod touch that at first allowed my to charge and transfer music from my laptop to the Ipod now nothing happens when I plug the usb cord and Ipod into my laptop. Its mac so it is an apple system. I am wondering how I can fix this problem I am not very good with techy stuff so this is very confusing how it was working and it just stopped.

I have a 4th gen iPod touch that won't power up! I tried all the traditional stuff. I want to know how to tell if the battery is good. itunes see's the ipod in recovery mode. Tried dfu mode and did not work. Any ideas? I can hear the PC beep when plugging it in! I suspect a bad battery and trying to charge it ina wall charger made it hot!

When synching by 4th gen ipod touch it skips the first step - backup-, does steps 2 through 5, then I get a message the ipod could not be backed up because a session could not be started with the ipod. How do I fix this? Do I have to restore my ipod? Will all my apps be erased?
You have to have an internet connection, either wireless or through a computer with iTunes. When you choose Software Update you can only update to the latest version for your iPod Touch, iOS 6.1.6

This is really frustrating. Every time i try to sync my 4th gen ipod touch itunes won't recognise it and the ipod keeps beeping - is there anything I can do? I've tried using different cables. Itunes works fine with my family members ipod's & iphones...
The best way to manage your music when you have multiple iPods is to change the settings under "Options" so that you manually manage your music instead of it doing an automatic synch each time you connect. To add only the songs you want, highlight them and then "click and drag" them to your iPod. This way none of your daughter's music gets added and you're not in danger of deleting your playlist as well. It will show you how many songs you've added and you can then click on your iPod to verify. To delete her songs off your iPod now, click on the music tab under your iPod so show everything you have stored. Find those songs you want to delete, click on them to highlight then go up to the Edit window and click delete. This will erase them off your iPod but be careful when you highlight. I did that and then had to reload a cd on my boyfriend's, lol. hope this helps

The volume slider at the bottom disappears, so it is connected and my iPod dock will play music on my old 4th Gen iPod Touch. My new iPod will play fine through headphones, the internal speaker and one other iPod dock I have tried. I have restarted it (home and lock keys), reset and backed it up and this problem existed when it was on iOS6 (have updated it to iOS6.1 - problem still exists). Any help or suggestions welcome!!

However, sometimes an iOS update will break conpatibility and you will have to wair for an update to either the iOS or the dock firmware. -

Hello. I tried backing up my 4th gen. iPod touch to the 10/21/2014 settings, but when I tried that, it backed me up to the June 2014 settings, even though I back my iPod up everyday. Is there anyway to back it up to the Oct. settings? Thank you.
If a restore to factory settings did not resolve the issue, it's a likely indicator of a hardware fault, meaning you'll need to or want to set up an appointment at your local Apple Store/Genius Bar.

My 4th gen iPod Touch has had a blank screen for about 3-4 weeks now, it will not turn on, sync, or charge. iTunes recognizes its plugged up, but i cant reset it because it says its passcode protected, but i cant enter passcode due to screen not lighting up or working. How do i fix this?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I can't get my 4th gen ipod touch to turn on but itunes see's it and is in recovery mode. I can hear the beep beep when I plug it in to the usb port.
