Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Where did you access a clean copy of Java SE 6? The link at adobe for archicval plug-ins is a dead download (and it doesn't appear to contain Java SE 6.).

I have had 4 mac computers and after years of downloading songs from itunes, I keep recieving a message that I need to set up an account. when I try to make a new account, i get an error that says i already have an account.
Have you tried checking the Store drop-down menu in the iTunes interface to see if you are signed in the existing account?

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

as stated in the title, i when i try to sync my new ipod touch to my computer it says its unable to connect due to unkown reasons. the music is listed on my touch as there, but faded (minus a selected few songs) and therefore are unplayable. i have no idea where to start, i figured downloading the newest itunes update, however, it no longer shows up when i start it up. confused.
Try:

- Try another cable and USB port
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings

When I've had a similar problem, it was because I was accessing the iTunes store from a device I hadn't used before, such as when I upgraded from an iPad 1 to the iPad 2. It was a little confusing to me until I figured it out.
All I had to do was use the ID of my existing account and play along with the iTunes store. As I recall, it asked for my password twice, and the security code from the back of my credit card. After that, downloads proceeded as before.

My son just got a new I Pod Touch for X-mas and it has been working just fine untill the other day when we started getting the message "cannot connect to itunes"...This happens when i try to go into both I Tunes and Safari. Before this it randomly said "your Phone can no longer send or recieve messages. Please restore to reactivate." Then, instead of restoring it, I restarted it. When I turned it back on it said "activation required." So then I tried to restore it and at the last step "restoring firmware" it freezes and gives me the error code (-1)! After this, it started randomly turning off and plus I couldn't use it at all! I put it in restore mode to try and restore it again and I got the same error message. I tried this on a windows 7 and a macbook with an updated iTunes and got the same error code. I tried it with 2 different sync cords too! What do I do!
Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

I can not get Duplicate to work in Pages. The Message I get states" Unsaved pages Document,pages"couldn't be moved because you don't have permission to access :Autosave Information." I have gone to "get Info"and I have premission to read & write, I have run disk utility and repaired premissions. I have run AppleJack and still get these messages. How can I correct this problem?
