IM trying to download itunes 10 and its saying no connection eventhough i can go on the internet just fine

Have another try now, brian. (Some issues with the download pages seem to have been fixed recently.)

When I try and launch the trial, it says I'm not connected to the internet which I clearly am.

You may want to check it with Windows or other burning software to make sure it's still working fully and the drivers are up to date.

I cant install itunes on my laptop, i always could before. Norton internet security say its all in order from their end, it just keeps saying network error when i try and download itunes

I had itunes set up on my laptop and had no issue with it. Today i tried to import a cd but my disc drive wouldnt work so i had to restore my laptop. When i did this my cd drive worked by i couldn't install itunes. I contacted Norton internet security who i spent 2 hours online with while they went through all my internet security settings and they have said it is a problem at apples end. When i attempt to download it just says network failure. Please help!

What browser are you using and have you tried using a different one to dl the file?

If you end up having to remove and reinstall iTunes and AMDS, make sure to follow the steps closely, including the order in which you uninstall.

When I try and download itunes, an error message pops up.

Beginning last night, when I updated to iTunes version 10, I also started getting an error message and cannot purchase from the store. Message reads "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. There is not enough memory available. There was an errror in the iTunes Store. Please try again." Still getting the error message today. Thought it was something with my computer, but I just tried it from my computer at work and same problem.

Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'

If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your iPad then try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

Remember, any purchased item from the itunes store is forever associated with the Apple ID used to buy it. So when you get prompted for an ID/password and it doesn't accept it, then you are using the wrong ID.
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores, be sure it's logged into the ID you have set on the iphone (since that one seems to be connecting with the right ID). If you've done this, then you might wait a bit to see if the "cannot connect to .. store" message has to do with internet connections.

Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album. These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer. If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices.

Movies are not part of the automatic downloads feature. Apps, music and books only.
If you live in the U.S. you can download many Movies again for free using the same Apple ID that you bought the movie with. If you do not live in the U.S, that feature is not available. Not all Movies are available at this time either.
You can transfer the movie to iTunes on your computer and then sync it to the iPad if you like.
