When I try and purchase a new app or game, it brings up my old Apple id

I changed my Apple ID/email address but when I try and purchase a new app or game and then enter my password it brings up my old Apple id and says I havean invalid password

If this is on an iOS device then log out of your account by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in with the updated version of your account so as to 'refresh' the account on it. If you are using the same account for iCloud then you may need to do similar for that : Settings > iCloud > Sign Out (or Delete Account depending upon the iOS version) and then log back in
If on your computer's iTunes then try logging via the Store > Sign Out menu option and then log bak in.

Call the apple store you got it from and ask them. Sometimes in the past they've extended the 'no questions asked return' but only Apple can tell you for sure.

If the amount of the purchase is close to $21.07, then you need to take into account taxes may be added.
If you go beyond the credit from a gift card the balance will be billed to your credit card account.

No, it is asking you to register with your Amazon user id and password. Your Apple ID won't work.

it is a problem with the latest update. nothing you can do will fix it, besides rolling your apple tv back to the last update.

If you want to use the email address that you used on the first account then you will need to remove it from that first account before you can do so e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's or via http://appleid.apple.com - you can create a new email address via http://gmail.com or http://hotmail.com to replace it with.

HT2204 I have changed my apple ID and this has been verified by email and when i go on to my account but it is still registering on my IPad when I try to purchase anything through apps and iTunes I can't.

I have just had to change my apple ID on the apploid site and that worked. I got an email to verify and did so. Yet when I try to use my iPad to purchase it is still showing my old ID so I can't make a purchase through ITunes or apps. I have gone on my ID account a number of times and the new one does work to sign in. I can't work out how to get my IPad to recognise this change or edit in manually through the IPad

If the old ID ("email address") is your ID, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
