When I try putting songs from itunes on my ipod, they don't show up

It doesn't acknowledge that I put them on, and when I try to sync it it still doesn't have them on.

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Does iTunes see the iPod?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Last, backup the iPod and then restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

Does this error message appear after hitting a particular track? Sometime this message is the result of a corrupted/damaged file.
Some have been able to resolve it by removing podcasts and/or rebuilding their iTunes library.

Error when trying to load songs from iTunes to my iPod

After downloading music from iTunes to my PC, when I try to sync it to my iPod classic I get the following error message.
"The iPod cannot be synced. An unknown error has occurred (-48)"

Hey there,
I have also ran into this problem at one time. However, after some thorough web searching I ran into this website, which offered numerous suggestions by different people who have come across this error. Hope it helps a bit. Don't be afraid to try any of these solutions.

You can only synce an iPod to one iTunes Library/one computer. However, you can manage music among different computer . see:

If you want to transfer non-iTunes purchased music from an iPod to a computer other than the one you synced the music from you need to use a third-party program like one of those discussed here:

I can't access my media files in media home

I reccomend you reload the device software through BlackBerry desktop software. Click update, view other versions, and click your curent version.
It is also possible that your media card is not properly inserted, re insert the media card and see if that helps. Good luck and let me know.

Cant put songs from itunes to ipod, i have itunes on my computer at my house and i have i tunes on my computer at work.
It will only let me have songs either from my house or my work not both, if i try to drag the songs into the ipod symbol it wont let me put it in my ipod
anyone know what the problem is???

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer (As in your case where you have one at home and one you use at work) you can change the update preference to "manually manage songs and playlists. By doing this, you can listen to your iPod at work where you may have iTunes but no songs or a different set of songs on the computer.

The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

I open itunes application from ipod. There's no common songs i want to buy. There are only podcast, itunes U, and search menu. So i try search from itunes website, browsing via safari. Be careful, FCP is an open system which is great, but it allows you to work with formats that are not completely compatible with fcp and can cause serious problems down the road. You can check the formats of all audio files brought into fcp by selecting them in the browser and hitting command-9, Use compressor to convert all audio files to 48k 16 bit aiffs before importing to fcp. There's a preset for this format in the apple presets. You mention video files. The same thing holds. In particular, avoid bringing in h264 quicktime movies. Convert to an fcp friendly format like prores using compressor.

I can't copy purchased songs from iTunes onto my iPod on my new computer.

I have an HP Pavilion zd7000 notebook computer. It's used. It was given to me by a family member. I put my iPod software onto it. I can purchase songs from iTunes, and I can connect my iPod and play the music. However, when I tried to put a purchased song from iTunes onto my iPod, I was told that I wasn't allowed. Is there some sort of security thing I don't know about?

Are you sure your computer is authorized for this? This is probably your issue.
If you go to the "Advanced" tab on the top in iTunes, is there a "Deauthorize computer..." button or an "Authorize computer..." button? If there's an "authorize computer" link, then that is your issue. Authorize your computer, and you should be able to transfer iTMS purchased songs from iTunes to iPod.

Depends on why it's ineligible. If it's under 96 Kpbs, try right-clicking on the file and choosing Create AAC Version. (If you don't see this option, go to iTunes>Preferences, click "Import Settings..." then choose "Import Using: AAC Encoder" and "Setting: iTunes Plus".) Then rescan your library to see if this version will add to iTunes Match. Or, after changing your import setting, just re-import the song to your iTunes library.
If the song is over 200 MB you would have to reduce it's size to make it eligible.
