I click apply update on the about firefox window but then cancelled it, now it wont work
Firefox informed me of an update, i applied it but cancelled it when it asked for the admin password. I am now trying to apply it about it just closes down and restarts with out it being applied. My current version is 4.0.1 when i go to the about firefox page it still has 'apply update' everytime.

IWeb not publishing update- just asking to log into facebook and freezing... Help, please!
When I "Publish site changes" on iweb, a facebook login pops up, and regardless of whether I sign in or not, nothing happens and iWeb freezes. the updates never publish, and I don't have the option to try it again. If I quit (sometimes have to force quit) iweb, it says "quitting while your site is publishing can cause problems", but I have left it open for hours, and nothing ever happens.

Go ahead and force-quite iWeb, it shouldn't hurt the website file. However, just to be safe, open ~User/Library/Application Support/iWeb, and copy (not move) the Domain.sites2 file in there to your home folder before force-quitting.
For some reason, the "Update my Facebook" feature in iWeb causes it to freeze. To fix this, simply untic the Facebook box in the website publishing settings page. Then it will publish correctly. -
During iPhone 4 update or restore, "iTunes encountered a problem and needs to close." Help?
I have the latest version of iTunes, version 10.3. Every time I try to update or restore my iPhone 4, iTunes crashes and gives me the error message "Itunes encountered a problem and needs to shut down." I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and Quicktime, but no dice. My phone is stuck in a recovery mode loop, and I need to restore it in order to fix it because tinyumbrella, iRecovery, iReb, and RecBoot all didn't work. It just boots back up in recovery mode again. I need to get my iTunes fixed so I can save my phone. Please help.

I was lucky to get my backup of my phone put into the phone so I didn't lose all my contacts and everything. All I know about the error message is that it has to deal with there being a problem during iTunes interacting with that .dll file. Either the file is corrupt, or the latest version of iTunes works with a different version of that file. I can't figure out how to fix it.

If a second-hand iOS device has been 'Activation locked' then only the previous owner can unlock it, either by providing you with the account ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices (as he should have done before selling it) - please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
If you are unable to contact him to do this then I'm afraid you will not be able to use the device - there is no other way of unlocking it at all. Apple cannot unlock it for you.
You should if possible return it to wherever you bought it and ask for a refund as in this event the device is completely useless. -
Metadata field -Tree update don't work from Config mgr and database
Hi All,
I am using UCM 11g. I have a Information field of type 'Memo' which is based on a Option list which uses tree. Updating it is giving me the following problems:
1. When i update a value in the tree using UCM CS configuration manager, sometimes the change doesn't get reflected on the update info form of a document (immediately and even after several hours)
2. When i update directly through database end, sometimes the change is not reflected in the config mgr - information field. And sometimes it reflects there immediately but not in update form.
Once Publishing schema and clearing browser's cookie/temp files worked, but not every time.
Currently, i have added some data from db end, and the data is not showing up on config mgr, and even in the views there. I have tried clearing browser's cache, publish schema, publish schema base, publish schema config and data, but nothing worked.
I don't want to go for bouncing the server option every time for such changes. Sometimes, everything does work fine instantly.
Is there some cache etc maintained by UCM and how to clear it so that it picks up the changes in the underlying table data immediately? Please help asap as i have been stuck in this for a long time.
P.S. I am doing it from db end in the correct manner, and doing so because i have hundreds of values to be added/updated in the metadata taxonomy tree so don't want to do it manually from ucm config mgr ui.'*Is there any UCM notification mechanism which we can use so as to tell it that there is some change in the underlying database or in configuration manager metadata tree; or some in built cache that we can clear so that it picks up the change*'.Nothing I would be aware of. Since you can just login directly to the database (e.g. via sqlplus) and insert/update/delete rows directly such a mechanism would have to be in the database (a trigger), but that would be an overkill.
Updates in the database - when run from the Config Mgr, for instance - work differently - first a change is done, than a service to update the schema is called (a change, actually, means both changing the scheme and its metadata). I don't know how exactly changes in taxonomy are implemented, but I'd expect something similar - note that a lot of information is cached due to performance reasons and changes like adding/modifying a profile, option lists, or trees might require purging this cached data. Usually, at least closing the browser/re-login helps. If there is a mechanism that can force 'push-model', I'm not aware of that. -

I'd recommend going to your task manager and looking for the Internet explorer task (iexplorer.exe). Once found, right click and end task. You might have to do this for multiple entries, depending on how many instances of explorer are running.

You're out of space. Do you sync music to your phone? If so, try syncing it over in 128kb which will save a lot of room. Option is right in front of you in iTunes when you plug phone in.

When I update itunes it deletes the library file, and when I restore that file from the previous libraries or my backup, itunes will run but tell me "the iTunes library file cannot be saved. A folder was specified instead of a file" How do I fix this?

I have tried:
restarting my device
signing out of the store and restarting the device and signing back in
reset all settings
double taping on "waiting" apps
All my softwear is up to date. I know that apps only download one at a time but I have checked them all and they are all in waiting. I am connected to wifi.
HELP!This is strange, but it may be a fix for my problem. These are the steps I took to possibly fix my problem. Before trying this I noticed that not only are all apps that are being updated listed as "Waiting", but new apps being installed were also listed as "Waiting".
I unselected "Sync Apps" in iTunes on my Mac. A sync automatically started and all the apps, other than the standard apps were removed.
I selected "Sync Apps" and chose just one app to install. I chose iBooks because it's an Apple app and because there is significant content associated with it through my purchases. The iBooks app installed without issue.
I selected a larger group of apps to install (basically all those that began with the letter "A"). These apps installed fine and are useable.
I selected all the apps I wanted on my iPad. These apps (113 total) all installed without being listed as "Waiting".
I used the App Store on my iPad and chose one app to update. The app was immediately listed as "Waiting" and when tapped was listed as "Paused".
I removed the app from the iPad and reinstalled it via iTunes on my Mac. The app installed fine and works great.
I accessed the iTunes Store and went to the screen "My App Updates". I selected the same app I tried to update in Step 5. The update work fine.
I synced my iPad and the newly updated app was installed on my iPad without issue.
This tells me that the issue lies within the process that updates apps on the iPad. If the app is updated in iTunes proper on my Mac, the updated app is installed on the iPad without issue.
I've only tried this with one app. I will now update all the apps on my Mac via iTunes and see if the newer versions install correctly on the iPad after syncing.
I hope this helps other people having this problem.

Look at your system crash report for your Photoshop crash. See what module failed. I its is in you printers driver. See if the is an update available for it.

After applying update my apple tv2 will randomly go to a black screen that lasts for a few seconds. When it gets back to normal after a few seconds it acts like the video never stopped since its farther along in the timeline. This happens with all video content wether its from Netflix or streaming from my iTunes library
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for a 30 seconds. If that doesn't help try using another HDMI cable.
