I just got an iphone 5 and want to establish an apple ID. I have 2 apple IDs: both are associated with my son. One uses my email address the other his. The one using my email adress is being used by him: apps, itunes etc. The one associated with his email address has nothing going on.So... I have changed the latter to be associated with my wife's email so that I might switch the IDs so that his email is connected with his apps and itunes. No problem. Then, I tried to change the ID with my email address with his (the one I just changed), but I continue to get the message :Email address is already verified for another Apple ID. Does it take time for the system to disassociate his email with an apple ID? Is there something I am missing?
In my experience, I have seen it take days. However, if the issue still persists a week from now, I'd check with iTS, as they can look up in directory services to see if you've (or someone else) has inadvertently combined this with other Apple IDs... A very common thing since many users are not aware what they have even done.

You can check this by going to http://appleid.apple.com and clicking 'Find My Apple ID'. Follow the instructions and it should list any IDs you have.
However once an address has been associated with an Apple ID you can't use it with another (even if it's removed from the first) so you are probably going to have to use another address, such as a free one from Yahoo or GMail. -
My itunes account is attached to an email account that I no longer have and cannot retrieve. I have been having trouble with purchases made to my itunes account and want to view my purchases. The support center said that they would email me the purchase history. However, I don't have that email address. When I go to change my email address to my current one, I get a message in red saying that "the email address is already verified for another Apple I.D." I'm sure it is one of my devices as we have 4 ipods and 2 iphones. How can I get my account to use my current email address? If one of my devices was registered using my current email address as it apparently was, do I need to figure out which device that is and remove the email address from that account? I'm so confused. I just want ALL my devices to use my current email address. I need to replace the old email address with my current one. How do I do that?

Once you log in to that account change the email address to anything, it can even be fake its just a placeholder
After you do that you will be free to change your old email address on your appleID to the new one that is now free to be used as it is no longer attached to the other account. -

I created an iTunes account and finished by having a verification email sent out. I never got the email and when I get the note to resend it it won't let me tap on it and below it says, email address is already verified for another Apple ID
Apple requires each Apple ID be associated with a different email address. Perhaps that is why you haven't received the email. Or you received the email and it is in your Junk Mail folder.

I'm trying to create a new ichat Acc because for some reason the old one is not working, so I go to Create an Apple ID and start creating a new apple ID, when I submit the Acc it tells me that my Email address is already verified for another Apple ID and thats the only email address I have... What can I do?
There is no way to consolidate iTunes accounts.
Setting up an iPhone has never required creation of a new Apple ID.
You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content. -

I have also noticed the same "problem". I do not fully understand the impact of using the same ID on multiple computers and devices if I want to keep them all in sync.

1. Restart your MBP and try the back up again. If this fails try step #2 below
2. Unplug your Time Capsule from the AC giving it thirty seconds or so to discharge, plug it back in and retry the back up again once you're back online.

I am being asked to verify my Apple ID. When I enter the password I get the message it is wrong. It says the e-mail address is already verified for another Apple ID and then it says it is sending an e-mail to my e-mail account that I then never receive. How do I resolve this?
This is most likely caused by an iCloud sign up (which forces you to use an email address as Apple ID).

You log into the App store using the same Apple ID you used to set the computer up, verify that none of your apps are hidden and that they have all be accepted and then download and install the update

Yesterday,I downloaded an update for Lightroom 5. Now when I try to import, I receive the following message: "An internal error has occurred: not enough memory". The message comes up right after I click import, before I choose a file to upload.Here is the information I can think of that might be needed to answer this question:
- I always download my photos onto an external hard drive.It is about 10 % full.
- It says I have Lightroom 5.6 64 bit
- I am working from a newer laptop (Windows). The internal drive on the laptop has 289 gb and I am using 61 gb total memory.
- I have edited 2794 photos in Lightroom and it is all in one catalog.
- I did not have this problem until I made the update. I did have my first "bug" earlier this week when one of my photos had a line show up through the middle of it when I exported it. I was able to export it a second time without the line.
If there is more info. needed, let me know. I do photography as a hobby and know enough about Lightroom to edit out blemishes and adjust color balance, but not too much more, so forgive my ignorance if this is an obvious fix.
