I kept getting the same error message 'blocked plugin' when using youtube. I finally gave up. I installed Google Chrome. It works fine.

From the Mail menu bar, select
Mail ▹ Preferences... ▹ Accounts
Select one of your IMAP accounts in the list on the left, then open the Mailbox Behaviors tab, Uncheck the box marked
Store deleted messages on the server

To get rid of "pop-up ads and other crap on my computer when I am on the internet", click on Safari in the Menu bar, and select Preferences. Next select Extensions. Delete all of them. Restart Safari.

There are a few things that you could try. First try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app via the taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
And if the above don't work then try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select the account on the right-hand side of that screen, select Account, then Advanced, Deleted Mailbox, and under On The Server tap the 'Trash' folder so that it gets a tick against it - then come out of that series of popups by tapping on the relevant buttons at the top of them and then see if you can delete emails.

I have an iphone 4s with ios 7.0. I'm trying to update to ios 7.1 but I don't have enough storage space because I have so many old messages and this glitch is preventing me from deleting them to free more space.

Try restoring your iPhone. Plug it into iTunes on your computer (current version), let it sync, then choose "Restore" from the iPhone's summary page in iTunes.

I seem to have resolved it by going to my in box, touching 'Edit' selecting all the emails in my mailbox and toching delete.
This has emptied my mailbox.
I don't know whether their is a capacity for the mailbox on iPhone which may have been getting close or whether there was a rogue email which was screwing up the system, however it seems to have done the trick.

I just set up a new email account on my iPhone and when i try to delete a message from my inbox, it prompts me that the message could not be moved to the mailbox trash.

If you have not already I would change the Slide size to something that has a 4:3 Ratio.
The Buddy maybe trying to scroll left and right to see the whole slide although this shoud be controlled at you end.
I would open the Connection Doctor during a Chat (iChat's Video menu).
Check that both Bit Rates are relatively stable (there is always some variance.)
Anything over 5% particularly if over 500kbps is likely to be causing problems.
You could try limiting the Bandwidth (iChat Menu > Preferences > Video section) to 500kbps at both ends
It may pay to drop to 200kbps as a test. (you may lose the Side by Side presentation at this speed).

I recently spoke to someone from Apple support, and here's what I gathered:
"Older" phones (read: anything iPhone 4s or older?) sometimes have trouble keeping up with the processing demands of the newest software. When deleting threads with a lot of media (photos, videos, etc), it can take a lot of processing to successfully delete. What this support tech suggested was picking some of the bigger threads at night before you go to bed, deleting them, and then leaving the phone alone-- and plugged in-- overnight to give it enough time to delete everything. He suggested not even pressing the lock button; just leave it to process (though I imagine the screen will lock on its own anyway).
Not sure if it works yet since I just spoke to him, but it's the closest thing I've got to a solution!

You may get better results if you switch to this alternate version: iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) and, if needed, reinstall QuickTime. The new (nearly) all 64-bit version doesn't seem to play well with QuickTime. Perhaps if DRM authentication is required QuickTime needs to be able to see something that is part of the older 32-bit code.

You can do this - by not doing it the way You describe as it will not work.
a. the external hard disk - MUST BE - Mac OS extended (hfs) formatted -
UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange - will work for most things - BUT NOT FOR VIDEO (iMovie, iDVD or FinalCut doesn't matter)
b. Do not alter or move any folder named
• iMovie Event's - or -
• iMovie Project's
on DeskTop/Finder - at all
All moving's of Events and Projects must be done within the iMovie Application - then connections will not break.
(move them back and see if iMovie remembers them - then do move as described above)

For several weeks, Thunderbird downloads the same emails more than once, back to back. Also when I try to delete messages, "Thunderbird does not respond."

The entire screen whites out when I try to delete or open another email. The margin above the File button shows that "Thunderbird is not responding." Finally, a new window appears in the middle of the screen asking me if I want to close Thunderbird. I am not sure if this problem started when I renewed my McAfee Total Protection program approx. 2 months ago. I also have over 1000 messages saved in both received emails and sent emails. I would like to just highlight a full page of them and delete all messages at once, but this is not possible.

Firefox will no longer play videos and keeps telling me to download the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer which I have done 5 times but still get the same message when I try to play videos. I can play videos on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome .

At least 5 times I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X and Adobe Flash Player Plugin 64 bit. Problem is that even though I have the latest version I still get the same message when I try to watch videos on Firefox. The frustrating thing is I can watch videos on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome as well as on Safari. How does that make sense?
Today, I upgraded to Firefox 10.0.2 (x86eng-us) hoping that would enable me to watch video on Firefox but it made no difference either. I would rather use Firefox as my default browser but if I can't get help so I can view video on it I will be forced to use another browser.
