When I try to download a message appears to say my download manager is fake
I live in Thailand - land of fakes - I recently had my comp. repaired - new motherboard. Now when I try to download something a message appears to say that my Internet Download Manager is registered with a fake number.
Thank you AlleyKat for your assistance. I did not try to delete IDM it sounded too dangerous for an old computer illiterate guy like me to tackle. But I followed the instructions and disabled it in tools. So I can download things again now. However when I restarted my computer after disabling, the message was still there asking me to pay for their license.

There are a few things that you could try. First try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app via the taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
And if the above don't work then try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select the account on the right-hand side of that screen, select Account, then Advanced, Deleted Mailbox, and under On The Server tap the 'Trash' folder so that it gets a tick against it - then come out of that series of popups by tapping on the relevant buttons at the top of them and then see if you can delete emails. -
I have had no issue accessing Facebook in the past using my MacAir. Last night each time I would try and access the page, an error message would appear, saying that unable to establish a secure connection to the server "www.facebook.com"". The problem continues this morning. I have not updated any software or made any changes. One minute it was working, the next it was not. I do not have any parental controls; I have deleted the cookies; and I have reset safari. I can access all other websites that I have tried. I am using Version 6.0.4.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Now open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, restart your internet modem and router. Then quit and relaunch Safari and try Facebook. -

I log out correctly every time making sure all windows are closed but every time i log back in a window appears saying "well this is embarrassing, we are having trouble opening your page (or something close to that, i cant remember the exact words) then at the bottom it says"this is usually due to a window being open (or close to that) then it asks me if i want to close or restore the session and it has a list of the last 2 pages i opened.
But i ALWAYS close them before logging out. Why does it keep doing this? as a workaround in the meanwhile you could close firefox (through firefox > quit) while the browser window is still running or try this: enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named '''browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash'''. double-click it and change its value to '''false'''. -
I'm pretty sure ie got all settings done properly, I went to the apple store and it works there :) but when I go home the intense works but iMessage and FaceTime won't, it's been like that for 2-3 weeks :( and its well annoying

Try this and see if it helps. Refresh your iTunes account. Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to purchase again. -

Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. Keep getting a "loading/waiting" message when I try to download/update anything. Sometimes something will download. I have signed out and turned the thing off and back on, signed in and no help. I have did the sleep button and home button thing, no help. I have talked to iPad support and so far, no help. Any ideas out there?
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.
