When I try to download ios 7.1.2 I am asked to enter password. When entered I receive a failed msg. The password works for iTunes.
I Am trying to download IOS 7.1.2 on my iPad and iPhone 5C. When I start the process, a window appears asking for my password. When I enter it, I receive a failed msg. The password works when I go to iTunes. I tried changing the password and still could not download ios 7.1.2 because I still received the failed msg when I entered the new password.
The passcode being requested when updating the IOS version is the 4 digit passcode(or passphrase if not set to simple) used to wake your ipad, not your Apple ID password.

Do it via itunes. You must have 11.1.0 installed in order to install ios7. Works all fine now

I got an 15 dollar iTunes card for Christmas. I took a picture of the card code to redem the card I accomplished that but when I try to download an app that cost money it asks me two security questions that I forgot the awnsers to. Than I click the forgot security questions than it sends it to my email but that's the problem I do not get any email.
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of doing so include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

I Have tried over and over to download IOS 8.1.3 . It asks for my password. I give it my password and after input it turns red and says 1st wrong pass code. I have changed the pass code 3x and nothing helps. Any thoughts !

OK, but if you do want to try iTunes, you just hook up your iPhone to your PC or Mac like you were going to sync it, and it will tell you that there is an update for your phone when you initiate the sync.

you are right about the IOS number. I couldn't access my iPad so I guessed and guessed wrong about the number. It was the latest upgrade offered by Apple for my iPad, which I dowloaded and installed. I have done some sleuthing and discovered that some of the problems are the result of the Accessibility - Voiceover being activated. Once I figured that out, I was able to navigate somewhat better, though I now cannot turn Voiceover off. I slide the button and it just revert to On. The other problem I have now discovered that the iPad only rarely will accept my password. This is a password that I know and love and use many times during the day (as all of us iPhone and iPad users do) Now it seems to reject my password 80+% of the time. I would disable password protection if I could. I think I am going to have to talk to Apple directly but wonder if anyone else has had this kind of trouble with the newest IOS. It worked fine on my iPhone.
I will try triple tapping the home button if I can ever get it opened again. -
I have an Ipad My apple ID and password works for Ibooks and Icloud but when I try to get into the app store it doesn't show my entire email address on the account. When I try to get into the app store it tells me my password is incorrect. How can I correct this? I have been emailing support but so far they have been no help
Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap the Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign in with the Apple ID of your choosing.

What is the exact error message you are receiving? Have you checked to make sure the connections on each end of the USB cable are nice and snug?

I am getting a security code invalid error everytime I try to download a app or update my current apps? I looked online and a few people are having the same issues anyone been able to get this resolved? It's not just on Iphones either it's on all apple devices. I've called Apple customer service. I've wrote a complaint online as well so far no good.
