When I try to download iTunes for Windows I get a download Dialog but when I press the Save button, nothing happens

I am trying to install iTunes on my Windows PC (I've tried on a W7 W8 and W8.1) After clicking the Download Now button my browser goes to the Thank you page and I get an Opening iTunes64Setup.exe dialog with a Save File and a Cancel button. I press Save File but nothing else happens.

No, Nothing happened, nothing was downloaded. When I say nothing happened I mean NOTHING HAPPENED, What can I say to make it more clear. How could I run a file that wasn't downloaded.....Nothing happened, rien, nada, b***** all. Why would I post a message saying "When I press the Save button nothing happens" if something had been downloaded.
I've found out why. It is because I am using Firefox. Presumably a case of Apple treating us users of the superior Operating system (Windows) with distain.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

A reset should help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo reappears, release both buttons and await restart.

(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

the mute button is a switch you need to flip, not touch. if you look at it and see color, its on.

When I press the power Btn on my Hp Pavilion Slimline desktop,.... the power light on top comes on (While looking in the case,......the 3 fans - CPU/Power Supply/case fan when powered, they begin to whir.......However, after 7sec the CPU and Case fan stops and the power supply fan is still running,,
But NOTHING HAPPENs..... no display , no hard drive running nothing...

Just downloaded firefox for the first time. I'm stuck on the verify step of the sync process.
I'm using aol desktop software on Windows 7. AOL won't let me copy the url behind the verify button to another browser, and it won't open the firefox accounts window when I click on verify (the tab opens, but the window stays blank....refresh does not help). I'm stuck.
I do not use outlook on this computer.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. Then try to open the app from the home screen.

then Itunes ends the installation due to errors.
