When I try to share a photo via email, the attachment does not display in email message.

That's rather a different question...
The ? indicates a permissions problem. You'll need to explain this set-up in more detail:
I used my laptop to connect via a shared folder to my macmini to download photos to the iphoto library.

    Are you able to email from Mail with those two accounts?  If so:
    1 - go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete both accounts. Now add them back and try again.
    2 - a better solution IMO is to set Mail as the email client for iPhoto is iPhoto's General preference pane.  This gives you better access to your contacts, a sent copy of all emails and, if you want a layout similar to iPhoto's, photo layouts located in Mail's stationary.

    Can you send email ok via the Apple Mail application?
    The username and password are set in the Accounts section of the Mail application. Start Mail, select preferences and select Accounts. Then make absolutely sure that the username, password and outgoing mail server are entered correctly.

    Which email service provider are you using?  You can install DropBox and share links to the files that way.  When you snd to your self (cc or bcc) do the items show up?  What file types and sizes are these attachments?  Are you sending over WiFi or cellular connection?  Try using more than one email account from a different provider (Gmail, yahoo, iCloud, etc) and see if it is email provider specific.

    The PSE8 Organizer crashes when I attempt to email photos.  In the 2 months that I have owned this program it has crashed several other times, but the current problem with emailing photos always occurs at the same step in the process.  I have read all the Help topics related to emailing from this program and it appears that my computer is set-up correctly.  The email client is selected as Adobe Email Service.  I have received a "verification code", although I have never gotten far enough into the process to enter it.  I'm able to go through all the steps to create the email (selecting the photos, typing a message, and selecting recipients).  A preview of the email briefly appears, but the program crashes before the hourglass goes away - so I never get to click on "send".
    Is there a bug in the program?  Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

    response.  Last night I again tried sending a
    test image to my wife's computer.  I am pasting a
    copy of what comes through.  There is no actual
    image but only this "text" of letters, numbers
    and characters which I presume is the ingredients
    of an image.  I have cut off some of the pasted
    message since it is quite long and I only want to
    convey a sample so as to show what come

  • Why do i get the alert window when i try to email photos from iphoto?

    Each time i try to email photos from iphoto i get a window with an exclamation mark over the iphoto logo.  I'm guessing that the email has not been sent but why?

    Go to the photo that you're trying to email and double click on it.  If the resulting window has the exclamation mark that means that iPhoto has broken the file path/link to the original file. 
    Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
    1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
    iPhoto 8 (09) and earlier- run the options indicated
    iPhoto 9 (11) and later- run  Option #4 to rebuild the database
    Fix #2
    Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
    1 - download iPhoto Library Manager (iPhoto 8 or earlier or IPhoto 11 and later) and launch.
    2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
    3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the
    File ➙ Rebuild Library (iPhoto 8 or earlier)
    or
    Library ➙ Rebuild Library (iPhoto 9 or later)
    menu option to rebuild the library.
    4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    5 - Click on the Create button.
    Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments.  However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

    To use a web based email account you'll have to export the resized files to the desktop and manually load them into your email by hand.
    As far as the message, it could be a number of things. What exactly is the message? You should check Mails preferences to make sure all of the parameters for the .Mac account are entered and correct.

    I learnt for the first time yesterday how to email photos from iPhot.  (I have only just bought my Mac Book Pro in December).  The first time I used it I saw themes and was delighted and then the next time I tried it there was nothing.  It went straight to the email.  I am extremely disappointed because I wanted to use them.  Have tried everything to get them back.  Repaired the disk, verified the disk.  But to no avail.  Can anyone out there help me please?

    When I try to email photos from my iPad3 they go to the Outbox and just sit there.  I can send all other emails with attachments, but not photos.  Has anyone got any ideas to solve this?

    Try sending them when connected via Wifi.  There is a size limit when using 3G.

    Delete and recreate your email settings.
    Alternatively, use Apple's Mail for the job. It has Templates too - and more of them.

    Open iPhoto, and then go to Preferences (under iPhoto in the menu bar).  Check these two things:
    1.  Under the "General" tab, make sure you have set "Email photos using" to "iPhoto".
    2.  Under the "Accounts" tab, be sure your email account information is set correctly.

    Right after I download pictures into a new album and can go to that album and see the photos, why don't they show up when I try to attach photos from that album to an email?  This has happened twice before and after a week or more they finally show up as a source for an attachment to email.

Are you able to send email without attachments? Have you tested emails with a different kind of attachment (such as a Notepad or Word document)? If so, how did it go? Any problems sending emails through the same account using a regular computer? Have you contacted your email provider to see if there are any attachment restrictions?
