When I try to install Firefox, windows asks me if I want to allow this program to make changes to my computer and then nothing happens whether I say yes or no?
Question is asked by "user account control"
Even if you are logged on with an Administrator account then you should still not run Firefox with Administrator permissions.<br />
I would assume that is already installed, but if this is happening when you try to install Firefox then you need to right-click the Firefox installer and choose Run as Administrator to make sure to get the proper permissions to install the Firefox program and create the required registry keys.<br />
Then you need to confirm that you want to install the program.<br />
If Windows blocks the file because it is downloaded from internet then open the Properties via the right-click context menu and check the Security tab.

I could previously open my itunes program on my computer and sync with ipad, ipod and iphone but no longer. When I select itunes a dialogue box opens with question - "Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer" When I select YES, it just shuts down. I have removed and reinstalled itunes. have checked firewall and spent hours trying to fix. Please help.
A possible cause of this error is that Firefox is set to run as Administrator.
Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
* Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
* "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\). -

Hello
I would be so grateful to know how to fix t his, because it's really getting on my nerves.
I have windows 7 pro 64 bit. I mostly always use firefox. Whenever i opened a new browser, I never got hit with the windows badge and "Do you want this program to make changes to your computer...." or something to that effect. YOu who have windows 7 know what I mean. Of course I click yes, but I NEVER had to do this before. I don't know what changed, what might have happened. I had to have help with some software unrelated to firefox and someone had remote work on my notebook, but he should not have changed browser settings. It is really irritating me to now end to always open the browser now and have to hear that annoying thing and the badge.
My other browsers IE and chrome do not do this.
How can I fix this? It was never the case before for years.
thanks I am grateful in advance. I can't use this browser if this s going to happen it gets on my nerves. You're welcome.

Whenever i try to manually sync my iPhone with a new playlist on iTunes (on my laptop), it always gets stuck in step 7, Waiting for changes to be applied, and then nothing happens. I'm running the latest operating systems on both my iPhone 5 and macbook
I really don't appreciate the fact that no one from Apple seems to be dealing with the many, many threads that have started on this topic since iOS 7 came out. In any event, I seem to have solved my problem with a full software restoration -- that is, iOS software restoration.
I clicked on "Restore iPhone..." which does a complete reinstall of the iOS but also all apps, photos, songs, etc. Took about 45 minutes, but seems to have worked.
I had previously tried reverting to a backup of my iPhone, but that did not solve the problem. Only a full restore solved it. -
Firefox update while I was trying to resolve a issue with a brother fax drive to update for windows 7, now every time I go to firefox it pops up, "Do you want to allow changes on your hard drive" as if it didn't finish, so I answer "yes", firefox browser comes up, but if I get out and go back in it does the same thing.
in the pop up window is listed; C:\program file(x86)Mozilla firefox\firefox.exe
But when I search it, nothingCheck that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.
You also need to check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program directory.
If you can't make the changes then you need to start Windows Explorer as Administrator. -

Just installed CC 2014. It shows in my Start menu with the install shield. Whenever I attempt to open CC 2014, I get a dialogue box asking if I want to allow the program to make changes to the computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and can't get it to go away.
This would only happen if you never installed it with sufficient administrative privileges and the user permissions are not set correctly. therefore reinstall it as admin.

When I try to install Firefox on my brand new desktop (which uses Windows 7) it tells me the file is corrupt. What is up with that?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; AntivirXP08; GTB6.3; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; MS-RTC LM 8)When you click the download link on [http://getfirefox.com GetFirefox.com], you should be asked if you wish to Run or Save the file. If the described situation happens when trying to Run the download, try instead to Save it and put the file on your Desktop or a similar place where you are certain that you can find it again.
When the download is complete, try double-clicking the downloaded file in the normal Windows Explorer (browse your way to the file from My Computer). This should start the installation.
If you notice in the Explorer window that the file seems to be lacking the Firefox orange/blue icon, rightclick the file and select Properties. The picture should look somewhat like the attached picture (except that mine's in danish, but that is irrelevant) if saved correctly - if it does NOT look like this, please describe the contents or attach a screenshot of the box. Especially what it says under "File type" - it should be "Program"; if it's not, we'll have to look into what the problem could be here.
Slightly off-topic, your Internet Explorer seems to be quite a bit out of date (IE 6, where current version is IE 8), so I would strongly recommend that you try to run Windows Update to get your system updated. If this is a company system (like a Terminal Server thin client machine), this may not be possible, and your system administrator will most likely have to help you. -
I keep getting the following message when I try to install firefox.."your computer must be restarted to complete a previous install of firefox" I've restarted numerous times..keep getting the same message
Have a look at the solution to a similar problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/921375?s=%22Your+computer+must+be+restarted+to+complete+a+previous+upgrade+of+Firefox.+Do+you+want+to+reboot+now%3F%22&r=0&e=sph&as=s
If that doesn't work, you can uninstall FF and do a clean install. You'll prob lose your bookmarks, history, etc, though, so if you do this set up Sync first! https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-firefox-sync-and-how-do-i-use-it -
i am using windows 8 pro in my laptop, when i try to install icloud 3.1 its giving me a error message " this app cant be run , check the version " what should i do now ?
Many thanks.
With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.) -
when i try to install firefox again it says the computer must be restarted to finish uninstalling previous version, but when rebooted and tried again it says the same thing, What do I do?
Please try this: Copy the files formhistory.sqlite (or formhistory) and places.sqlite (or places) if they exist and delete the entire Mozilla folder in %APPDATA% and also the Firefox folder in Program Files. [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing%20up%20your%20information Please see this.]

How do I get Firefox to run and display applets without asking for my permission for each one?
Each time I load a web page with a new applet I get asked whether I want to run it. I don't want this. I just want the applets to be run. I read in the help section about using the java console but I can't find how to display the java console either.
